by_o way_n of_o explication_n let_v we_o inquire_v into_o and_o consider_v these_o thing_n 1._o what_o death_n be_v that_o here_o speak_v of_o and_o intend_v 2._o who_o be_v the_o wicked_a in_o the_o scripture_n account_n 3._o what_o be_v we_o to_o understand_v by_o this_o phrase_n no_v pleasure_n 4._o what_o time_n be_v that_o in_o which_o he_o have_v no_o pleasure_n i_o have_v 1._o what_o be_v the_o death_n here_o speak_v of_o and_o intend_v when_o he_o say_v i_o have_v no_o pleasure_n in_o the_o death_n of_o the_o wicked_a etc._n etc._n now_o in_o answer_n thereto_o we_o may_v say_v the_o scripture_n speak_v only_o of_o two_o death_n in_o general_n as_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n in_o one_o of_o which_o all_o lesser_a death_n be_v contain_v and_o comprehend_v namely_o 1._o there_o be_v that_o death_n which_o be_v intimate_o call_v the_o first_o death_n which_o be_v threaten_v unto_o the_o first_o man_n adam_n male_a and_o female_a in_o case_n they_o shall_v eat_v of_o the_o forbid_a some_o of_o they_o to_o prove_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o three_o death_n do_v weak_o enough_o bring_v the_o scripture_n which_o speak_v of_o the_o second_o for_o the_o proof_n thereof_o but_o it_o be_v a_o very_a evil_n and_o dangerous_a thing_n to_o make_v such_o a_o distinction_n where_o the_o scripture_n make_v none_o but_o plain_o enough_o oppose_v and_o reject_v it_o and_o may_v do_v more_o harm_n than_o they_o be_v aware_a of_o who_o make_v use_v of_o it_o rather_o i_o conceive_v out_o of_o ignorance_n and_o custom_n than_o judgement_n and_o consideration_n it_o be_v good_a for_o we_o to_o hear_v what_o the_o scripture_n faith_n and_o to_o receive_v that_o but_o no_o more_o to_o this_o at_o present_a but_o now_o the_o enquiry_n be_v of_o which_o of_o the_o two_o death_n forementioned_a be_v we_o here_o to_o understand_v these_o word_n to_o mean_v and_o to_o that_o we_o say_v not_o of_o the_o first_o which_o be_v now_o abolish_v 1._o because_o it_o be_v god_n will_v 9_o 1_o 2-10_a the_o most_o holy_a and_o righteous_a man_n general_o have_v die_v this_o first_o death_n and_o some_o of_o they_o have_v say_v they_o be_v go_v the_o way_n of_o all_o the_o earth_n mean_v thereby_o they_o be_v go_v to_o die_v the_o first_o death_n josh_n 23._o 14._o 1_o kin._n 2._o 2._o but_o none_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v hurt_v of_o the_o second_o death_n rev._n 2._o 11._o 3._o it_o also_o plain_o appear_v that_o by_o the_o death_n here_o speak_v of_o we_o be_v to_o understand_v the_o second_o death_n direct_o and_o full_o because_o this_o death_n may_v while_o it_o thes_n 10._o but_o now_o no_o man_n can_v by_o any_o turn_n from_o evil_n or_o exercise_v himself_o unto_o and_o follow_v after_o godliness_n and_o goodness_n escape_n or_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o first_o death_n as_o have_v be_v say_v no_o man_n have_v power_n over_o the_o spirit_n to_o retain_v the_o spirit_n neither_o have_v he_o power_n in_o the_o day_n of_o death_n and_o there_o be_v no_o discharge_n in_o that_o war_n eccles_n 8._o 8._o by_o all_o which_o it_o do_v plain_o and_o full_o appear_v the_o death_n here_o speak_v of_o and_o intend_v be_v direct_o and_o most_o proper_o and_o these_o low_a and_o carnal_a thing_n 1_o joh._n 2._o 16._o they_o will_v not_o satisfy_v man_n soul_n for_o they_o be_v the_o stumbling-block_n of_o their_o iniquity_n ezek._n 7._o 19_o the_o most_o noble_a part_n of_o man_n as_o psal_n 22._o 20._o be_v not_o delight_v herewith_o but_o contrariwise_o sadn_v and_o fill_v with_o horror_n and_o dread_n thereby_o while_o man_n conscience_n be_v not_o
