excellent_a manner_n than_o before_o assure_v he_o of_o perfect_a justification_n and_o remission_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o here_o the_o error_n of_o many_o be_v meet_v withal_o in_o the_o confute_v contrary_n to_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n for_o first_o faith_n assure_v of_o pardon_n and_o then_o follow_v mortification_n that_o be_v when_o a_o man_n be_v once_o assure_v of_o pardon_n of_o sin_n than_o he_o begin_v to_o mortify_v and_o to_o slay_v his_o corruption_n for_o mortification_n be_v a_o fruit_n of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v phil._n 3._o 10._o that_o i_o may_v feel_v the_o power_n of_o his_o death_n and_o the_o virtue_n of_o his_o resurrection_n now_o what_o be_v mean_v by_o this_o but_o the_o two_o part_n of_o repentance_n mortification_n and_o vivification_n the_o apostle_n believe_v before_o and_o now_o he_o will_v have_v his_o faith_n appear_v in_o the_o grace_n of_o mortification_n that_o he_o may_v sensible_o feel_v it_o and_o say_v before_o what_o be_v mortification_n but_o a_o turn_n of_o the_o heart_n a_o work_n in_o it_o a_o new_a disposition_n now_o we_o know_v when_o the_o heart_n be_v not_o regenerate_v it_o be_v full_a of_o sorrow_n and_o joy_n in_o this_o estate_n increase_v sin_n but_o when_o the_o heart_n be_v turn_v from_o sin_n to_o grace_n that_o be_v heavenly_a dispose_v there_o be_v a_o pleasant_a object_n represent_v unto_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o soul_n as_o christ_n justification_n remission_n of_o sin_n and_o reconciliation_n and_o hence_o arise_v a_o spiritual_a joy_n in_o the_o soul_n which_o rejoice_v be_v a_o mortification_n of_o sin_n for_o when_o a_o man_n or_o woman_n see_v such_o excellency_n in_o christ_n as_o before_o he_o so_o rejoice_v in_o they_o that_o he_o loathe_v
