which_o day_n whether_o seven_o day_n or_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n and_o concern_v these_o case_n there_o be_v present_a controversy_n in_o the_o mind_n of_o many_o man_n 4._o that_o to_o force_n and_o compel_v upon_o any_o nation_n by_o violent_a law_n and_o edict_n the_o observe_v any_o one_o day_n as_o sabbath_n upon_o such_o and_o such_o penalty_n and_o that_o only_a upon_o the_o ground_n of_o tradition_n and_o long_a custom_n while_o the_o scripture_n in_o that_o
guiltless_a brethren_n than_o they_o be_v before_o no_o more_o safe_a i_o say_v but_o more_o liable_a to_o the_o justice_n and_o terror_n of_o the_o almighty_a and_o to_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o king_n and_o the_o good_a law_n of_o england_n for_o and_o because_o of_o their_o barbarous_a cruelty_n but_o as_o i_o have_v say_v we_o leave_v vengeance_n to_o the_o lord_n and_o commit_v they_o crime_n of_o put_v to_o shameful_a death_n the_o lord_n servant_n they_o tell_v the_o king_n as_o if_o they_o only_o keep_v the_o passage_n with_o the_o point_n of_o the_o sword_n hold_v towards_o they_o as_o if_o they_o have_v no_o intention_n to_o hurt_v they_o and_o this_o the_o magistrate_n do_v both_o in_o conscience_n to_o god_n and_o man_n i_o say_v it_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v what_o occasion_n be_v give_v they_o to_o stand_v in_o the_o passage_n with_o the_o point_n of_o the_o sword_n towards_o this_o people_n be_v it_o for_o any_o cause_n on_o their_o part_n but_o as_o of_o jesus_n do_v they_o at_o all_o obey_v it_o for_o fear_n of_o man_n and_o when_o the_o three_o child_n be_v command_v to_o bow_v to_o the_o image_n do_v they_o do_v it_o for_o fear_n of_o man_n or_o if_o they_o have_v die_v for_o their_o disobedience_n of_o the_o king_n commandment_n can_v it_o have_v be_v say_v that_o their_o blood_n be_v upon_o their_o own_o head_n and_o that_o they_o rush_v themselves_o upon_o it_o and_o this_o be_v in_o part_n the_o like_a case_n that_o our_o friend_n suffer_v under_o the_o injustice_n of_o these_o petitioner_n who_o will_v now_o cover_v themselves_o like_o man_n of_o guilty_a conscience_n but_o the_o god_n of_o heaven_n will_v let_v they_o know_v one_o day_n and_o the_o king_n may_v just_o do_v it_o that_o the_o blood_n of_o our_o brethren_n lie_v upon_o the_o head_n of_o the_o magistrate_n of_o new-england_n and_o they_o be_v guilty_a of_o their_o cruel_a death_n for_o they_o put_v they_o to_o death_n not_o for_o any_o evil_n do_v between_o man_n and_o man_n but_o for_o their_o obedience_n to_o god_n and_o for_o good_a conscience_n sake_n towards_o he_o again_o the_o petitioner_n say_v the_o quaker_n die_v not_o because_o of_o their_o other_o crime_n how_o capital_a soever_o but_o upon_o their_o superadd_v presumption_n and_o incorrigible_a contempt_n of_o authority_n break_v in_o upon_o we_o notwithstanding_o the_o guilty_a of_o here_o be_v a_o secret_a charge_n of_o crime_n without_o nomination_n and_o this_o be_v the_o part_n of_o slanderer_n to_o accuse_v in_o general_a without_o particular_a proof_n but_o this_o be_v still_o to_o extenuate_v their_o own_o horrid_a fact_n of_o put_v the_o innocent_a to_o death_n and_o that_o the_o king_n may_v believe_v better_o of_o they_o than_o indeed_o he_o have_v
