than_o the_o union_n between_o the_o foot_n or_o other_o organical_a part_n of_o sensitive_a creature_n and_o their_o sensitive_a soul_n or_o mere_a physical_a form_n for_o the_o intellectual_a part_n of_o man_n whether_o it_o be_v the_o form_n of_o man_n true_o though_o not_o mere_o physical_a or_o rather_o his_o essence_n not_o his_o form_n at_o all_o do_v uâ—e_v his_o own_o hand_n not_o as_o the_o carpenter_n do_v use_v his_o axe_n that_o be_v not_o as_o a_o external_a or_o separate_v but_o as_o his_o proper_a unite_a instrument_n nor_o be_v the_o union_n between_o the_o hand_n as_o the_o instrument_n and_o intellective_a part_n at_o the_o artificer_n or_o commander_n of_o it_o a_o union_n of_o matter_n and_o form_n but_o a_o union_n personal_a or_o at_o the_o least_o such_o a_o union_n as_o resemble_v the_o hypostatical_a union_n between_o the_o divine_a and_o humane_a nature_n of_o christ_n much_o better_a than_o any_o material_a union_n wherein_o philosopher_n or_o school_n divine_n can_v make_v instance_n 9_o these_o and_o the_o like_a speculation_n be_v neither_o unpleasant_a nor_o unprofitable_a if_o so_o the_o reader_n will_v not_o restrain_v the_o former_a similitude_n of_o athanasius_n only_o to_o this_o kind_n of_o union_n but_o after_o what_o manner_n to_o what_o special_a purpose_n or_o what_o peculiar_a service_n the_o manhood_n of_o christ_n be_v the_o instrument_n of_o his_o divine_a nature_n as_o the_o ancient_a for_o the_o most_o part_n unanimous_o affirm_v by_o god_n assistance_n in_o other_o article_n follow_v or_o in_o the_o mystical_a union_n betwixt_o christ_n and_o his_o member_n thus_o much_o in_o this_o place_n and_o for_o the_o present_n may_v suffice_v that_o the_o personal_a union_n between_o the_o divinity_n and_o manhood_n of_o christ_n though_o it_o be_v in_o itself_o more_o admirable_a than_o comprehensible_a or_o expressible_a be_v more_o proper_a and_o firm_a than_o any_o union_n which_o can_v be_v make_v by_o mixture_n by_o confusion_n by_o composition_n or_o compaction_n of_o several_a nature_n into_o one_o but_o what_o athanasius_n mean_v in_o that_o expression_n of_o take_v the_o manhood_n into_o god_n may_v if_o i_o mistake_v not_o to_o my_o present_a purpose_n which_o be_v only_o to_o lay_v the_o general_a ground_n of_o these_o communication_n of_o property_n which_o divine_v whether_o ancient_a or_o modern_a observe_v between_o the_o divine_a and_o humane_a nature_n of_o christ_n be_v yet_o further_o explicate_v by_o answer_v the_o main_a objection_n that_o can_v be_v make_v against_o athanasius_n his_o similitude_n or_o these_o illustration_n of_o it_o 10._o some_o haply_o will_v object_v and_o it_o be_v all_o i_o think_v that_o can_v be_v object_v against_o we_o that_o as_o we_o be_v such_o be_v our_o flesh_n such_o be_v our_o blood_n we_o be_v by_o nature_n man_n and_o our_o flesh_n and_o blood_n be_v by_o nature_n only_o humane_a or_o the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n of_o man_n
