kill_v his_o sin_n and_o mortify_v his_o lust_n with_o ease_n it_o be_v call_v mortification_n to_o show_v that_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o misery_n and_o pain_n in_o it_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o those_o that_o be_v christian_n have_v crncify_v the_o flesh_n etc._n etc._n gal._n 5._o 24._o and_o therefore_o repentance_n be_v set_v out_o unto_o we_o by_o crucifi_a which_o be_v blow_n that_o will_v kill_v sin_n stone-dead_a no_o no_o we_o may_v say_v of_o sin_n as_o some_o i_o say_v of_o cat_n they_o have_v nine_o life_n kill_v sin_n once_o and_o it_o will_v revive_v again_o kill_v it_o the_o second_o time_n and_o it_o will_v yet_o live_v kill_v it_o the_o three_o time_n it_o will_v yet_o have_v life_n unless_o it_o be_v continual_o mortify_v it_o will_v never_o be_v stark_o dead_a and_o therefore_o the_o work_n must_v be_v continue_v as_o christ_n say_v of_o his_o disciple_n if_o you_o continue_v in_o my_o word_n then_o be_v you_o my_o disciple_n indeed_o so_o branch_n it_o live_v cut_v down_o the_o body_n it_o will_v not_o die_v dig_v up_o the_o root_n and_o it_o will_v still_o revive_v and_o will_v never_o leave_v grow_v until_o god_n pull_v down_o the_o stone_n wall_n of_o this_o our_o earthly_a tabernacle_n and_o lay_v it_o in_o the_o dust_n and_o therefore_o we_o must_v still_o be_v mortify_v of_o it_o three_o because_o as_o we_o mortify_v so_o we_o mortify_v but_o in_o part_n as_o say_v the_o apostle_n in_o another_o case_n we_o know_v but_o in_o part_n etc._n etc._n so_o may_v we_o say_v of_o this_o duty_n we_o mortify_v but_o in_o part_n as_o we_o may_v say_v of_o a_o man_n breathe_v out_o his_o last_o breath_n he_o be_v a_o die_a but_o not_o quite_o dead_a so_o we_o may_v say_v of_o sin_n though_o it_o lie_v sprawl_v upon_o the_o ground_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o dead_a the_o last_o gasp_n be_v not_o past_a nay_o it_o may_v be_v sin_n be_v more_o strive_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o child_n of_o god_n convert_v than_o it_o be_v before_o conversion_n as_o a_o ox_n or_o a_o ass_n when_o they_o have_v their_o death_n blow_n will_v lash_v and_o struggle_v more_o then_o than_o they_o do_v in_o all_o their_o life_n time_n before_o they_o so_o to_o apprehend_v the_o evil_a of_o they_o as_o to_o think_v with_o thyself_o that_o because_o thou_o be_v guilty_a of_o these_o and_o these_o sin_n that_o thou_o shall_v never_o get_v in_o soldier_n when_o he_o see_v nothing_o but_o to_o kill_v or_o be_v kill_v that_o he_o see_v his_o state_n desperate_a why_o this_o will_v compel_v a_o very_a coward_n to_o fight_v this_o will_v make_v a_o coward_n fight_v as_o if_o he_o will_v kill_v the_o devil_n say_v the_o proverb_n it_o will_v make_v he_o fight_v like_o a_o spirit_n he_o will_v be_v afraid_a of_o nothing_o take_v a_o soldier_n
