of_o the_o body_n the_o most_o bless_a union_n of_o body_n and_o soul_n may_v be_v preserve_v vers._n 46._o howbeit_o that_o be_v not_o first_o which_o be_v spiritual_a but_o that_o which_o be_v future_a mutation_n of_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o body_n from_o earthly_a to_o heavenly_a from_o natural_a to_o spiritual_a by_o four_o argument_n argum._n 1._o such_o as_o be_v the_o earthly_a adam_n the_o head_n of_o our_o stock_n after_o the_o fleshly_a propagation_n such_o it_o become_v we_o to_o be_v bear_v viz._n mortal_a therefore_o as_o the_o heavenly_a adam_n our_o head_n in_o so_o sure_o shall_v we_o bear_v the_o image_n of_o the_o second_o adam_n in_o the_o glorious_a quality_n of_o our_o substance_n vers._n 50._o now_o this_o i_o say_v brethren_n that_o flesh_n and_o blood_n can_v inherit_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n neither_o do_v corruption_n inherit_v incorruption_n argum._n 3._o the_o promise_n of_o glorify_v our_o body_n or_o of_o bring_v we_o into_o the_o upon_o he_o to_o slay_v the_o old_a man_n in_o we_o 4._o in_o that_o he_o take_v upon_o he_o to_o represent_v our_o person_n we_o be_v thereby_o oblige_v to_o labour_n after_o mortification_n of_o sin_n by_o his_o spirit_n that_o after_o justification_n we_o shall_v no_o long_o serve_v sin_n from_o hence_o the_o argument_n we_o know_v or_o believe_v that_o our_o old_a man_n be_v crucify_v judicial_o with_o christ_n to_o this_o end_n that_o in_o we_o who_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n may_v be_v weaken_v the_o body_n of_o death_n so_o that_o filthiness_n of_o habitual_a corruption_n compact_v as_o it_o be_v into_o one_o monstrous_a body_n prepare_v with_o all_o its_o member_n to_o actual_a sin_v that_o we_o shall_v no_o more_o after_o we_o be_v justify_v serve_v sin_n therefore_o we_o ought_v to_o endeavour_v the_o mortification_n of_o sin_n unless_o we_o will_v cast_v away_o the_o faith_n of_o our_o judicial_a union_n with_o christ_n hang_v upon_o the_o cross._n vers._n 7._o for_o he_o that_o be_v dead_a be_v free_v from_o sin_n argum._n 7._o from_o the_o fruit_n of_o this_o union_n with_o christ_n die_v on_o the_o cross_n whosoever_o be_v dead_a to_o his_o old_a lord_n more_o dominion_n over_o he_o argum._n 9_o confirm_v the_o former_a we_o believe_v that_o christ_n rise_v to_o a_o immortal_a life_n neither_o be_v he_o for_o ever_o hereafter_o liable_a unto_o death_n but_o always_o live_v he_o both_o will_n and_o be_v able_a to_o perpetuate_v in_o we_o a_o new_a life_n that_o death_n may_v no_o more_o have_v dominion_n over_o we_o therefore_o as_o we_o do_v not_o believe_v in_o vain_a that_o by_o his_o power_n we_o shall_v live_v a_o new_a and_o eternal_a life_n so_o ought_v we_o to_o labour_n that_o the_o new_a life_n to_o which_o we_o have_v rise_v with_o christ_n may_v be_v continue_v not_o to_o suffer_v sin_n shall_v any_o more_o prevail_v or_o have_v dominion_n over_o we_o vers._n 10._o for_o in_o that_o he_o die_v he_o die_v unto_o destroy_n of_o sin_n nor_o can_v you_o be_v destitute_a of_o the_o strength_n of_o christ_n to_o mortify_v sin_n but_o in_o his_o resurrection_n you_o be_v bind_v to_o live_v unto_o god_n or_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o that_o you_o may_v so_o live_v you_o have_v strength_n and_o help_n enough_o by_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n therefore_o the_o doctrine_n of_o free_a justification_n by_o faith_n be_v so_o far_o from_o open_v a_o door_n of_o liberty_n to_o sin_n that_o on_o the_o contrary_a nothing_o be_v more_o effectual_a and_o conducible_a to_o the_o promote_a of_o sanctity_n and_o in_o we_o or_o the_o habitual_a pravity_n of_o our_o nature_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o actual_a sin_n but_o the_o law_n be_v not_o the_o cause_n but_o the_o occasion_n to_o sin_n not_o give_v but_o endeavour_v after_o what_o be_v forbid_v beget_v in_o i_o all_o manner_n of_o concupiscence_n and_o evil_a motion_n against_o the_o law_n for_o without_o the_o law_n which_o he_o confirm_v by_o a_o sign_n because_o the_o law_n not_o be_v know_v sin_n lie_v hide_v and_o be_v as_o dead_a but_o when_o the_o law_n come_v it_o be_v stir_v up_o and_o appear_v as_o filthiness_n be_v not_o see_v in_o the_o absence_n of_o the_o sun_n but_o that_o arise_v it_o appear_v and_o stink_v not_o by_o the_o sun_n fault_n but_o by_o its_o own_o therefore_o the_o law_n be_v holy_a vers._n 9_o for_o i_o be_v alive_a without_o the_o law_n once_o but_o when_o the_o commandment_n come_v sin_n revive_v and_o i_o die_v by_o his_o own_o experience_n he_o further_o explain_v the_o matter_n show_v that_o former_o when_o he_o be_v a_o pharisee_n and_o unregenerate_a in_o his_o own_o opinion_n he_o be_v alive_a that_o be_v very_o just_a and_o in_o no_o wise_a guilty_a of_o eternal_a death_n but_o when_o his_o eye_n be_v open_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n the_o true_a sense_n of_o the_o law_n be_v unfold_v than_o he_o understand_v the_o force_n of_o sin_n and_o that_o he_o be_v guilty_a of_o eternal_a death_n vers._n 10._o and_o the_o commandment_n which_o be_v ordain_v to_o life_n i_o find_v to_o be_v unto_o death_n from_o this_o experience_n he_o say_v that_o he_o learn_v two_o thing_n first_o that_o the_o end_n of_o the_o command_n and_o the_o effect_n be_v good_a in_o itself_o because_o the_o command_n be_v good_a in_o itself_o and_o by_o itself_o ordain_v to_o life_n if_o man_n obey_v it_o the_o other_o that_o the_o effect_n of_o the_o law_n by_o accident_n be_v death_n so_o far_o as_o it_o threaten_v death_n to_o the_o sinner_n and_o urge_v he_o from_o justice_n with_o the_o sentence_n of_o death_n vers._n 11._o for_o sin_n take_v occasion_n by_o the_o commandment_n deceive_v i_o and_o by_o it_o slay_v i_o 12._o wherefore_o the_o law_n be_v holy_a and_o the_o commandment_n holy_a and_o just_a and_o good_a the_o three_o reason_n in_o defence_n of_o the_o law_n the_o sin_n that_o dwell_v in_o we_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o death_n only_o take_v occasion_n from_o the_o law_n or_o the_o command_n as_o he_o have_v learn_v by_o experience_n for_o sin_n while_o he_o think_v of_o what_o be_v forbid_v in_o the_o law_n invite_v and_o entice_v he_o to_o forbid_a thing_n and_o pollute_v he_o and_o so_o by_o the_o command_n make_v he_o more_o and_o more_o obnoxious_a to_o death_n therefore_o the_o law_n be_v altogether_o holy_a and_o particular_o
