XLVI TH' Almighty God is our refuge and strength by which we stan● In trouble and adversitie a present help at hand verse 2 Therefore we will not fear though that the earth removed be And though the mountaines carri'd all be in the deepest sea verse 3 Though thereof the great waters roar and troubled motions make Thogh with the swelling great thereof the mountains hudge do shake verse 4 A river is whose streams shall make Gods citie glade to be The Tabernacles holy place of him who is most Hie. verse 5 God is ev'n in the midst of her she shall not moved be God in great mercy shall her help this early do shall he verse 6 The heathen rag'd the Kingdomes were all mov'd without delay His voice with such force uttred he the earth did melt away verse 7 The Lord of Hostes is still with us us to defend and judge The mightie GOD of Jacob is in danger our refuge verse 8 Come and behold what wondro● works the LORD to passe hath brought What desolations in the earth he in his wrath hath wrought verse 9 To the earths end he maketh wars to cease as men desire He breaks the bow and cuts the spe● and chariots burns with fire verse 10 Be still and know that GOD I a● I will exalted be Among the heathen in the earth I 'le be exalted hie verse 11 The LORD of hosts is still with us to defend and judge The mighty God of Jacob is in danger our refuge PSALME XLVII O All ye people of the earth your hands clap and rejoice Shout unto GOD most chearfullie with a triumphing voice verse 2 For lo the LORD most High alwayes is terrible to see Ov'r all the kingdomes of the earth a great King sure is he verse 3 He wicked people under us his goodnesse for to shew Shall with the nations most profane under our feet subdue verse 4 He shall for our inheritance chuse which none shall remove Of Jacob the excellencie whom he did ever love verse 5 GOD with a shout of Majestie to be gone up is found The LORD is by his people heard ev'n with a Trumpets sound verse 6 To God sing praises with your he● unto him praises sing Sing praises both with heart and voic● sing praises to our King verse 7 For the great God of all the earth is only King and Lord All they that understanding have sing praise with one accord verse 8 God o're the heathen all doth reig● God highly sits upon Of his most perfect holinesse the fair and statelie throne verse 9 The Princes of the people all together as we see Are gathred even the people of Abrahams GOD most hie For certainely of all the earth the shields to God belong He greatly all the Sons of men exalted is among PSAL. XLVIII GReat is the Lord and greatly is to be praised still Within the Citie of our GOD in his most holy hill verse 2 Well situat Mount Sion is the joy of all the earth Of the great king the city fair on the sides of the North. verse 3 God in her palaces is known for a refuge for ever verse 4 For lo the kings assembled were they passed by together verse 5 This city great they saw and so they marveild much alway They in their hearts were troubled sore and hasted all away verse 6 As of a woman in travell there them seizd fear and pain verse 7 With an East wind y u Tarshish ships dost break in great disdain verse 8 As in Gods city we have heard so have we seen together Ev'n in Gods city God it will establish fast for ever verse 9 In the midst of thy Temple fair O God who all hast wrought Of thy most loving kindnesse still we carefully have thought verse 10 According to thy name O God so is thy praise untill Th' ends of the earth and righteousn● thy right hand al 's doth fill verse 11 Because of all thy judgements j● let Sion Mount rejoice Let also Judahs daughters all be glade with heart and voice verse 12 About Sion see that ye walk and to perceive her well Go round about her buildings fair the towers thereof now tell verse 13 Mark well her bulwarks strong a● hi● her palaces consider That ye the same may clearely tell to ages following after verse 14 For this God is our only God for ever and for ay He will in all things ev'n to death our guide be evry day PSAL. XLIX HEar this all people and give eare that in the world doe dwell verse 2 Both low high both rich poor together weigh this well verse 3 My mouth shall speak of wisdome great and of my heart in me The meditation wholly shall of understanding be verse 4 Unto

LVIII O Congregation do ye still speak righteousnesse indeed O sons of men do ye to judge still uprightly proceed verse 2 Yea in your heart great wickednesse you work in every way And of your hands here in the earth the violence you weigh verse 3 The wicked are ev'n from the womb estrang'd before our eyes They go astray assoone as they be born still speaking lyes verse 4 Most like a serpents poison is the poison that they bear They are even like the adder deaf that stoppeth fast his ear verse 5 Which to the voice of charmers not hearken readilie Though never so wisely they appear in charming for to be verse 6 Break thou O God now in th● mo● their teeth both sharp and stron● O Lord the great teeth now break ● of Lions that are yong verse 7 As waters run continuallie so let them melt and fall When as he bends his bow to shoo● cut them in pieces small verse 8 As melts a snail let ev'ry one of them consumed be Like the untimely birth that they the sun may never see verse 9 Before your pots can feel the tho● he shall them all by death As with a whirle wind take away both living and in wrath verse 10 The righteous shal rejoice when thus sees the vengeance meet He in the blood of wicked men shall surely wash his feet verse 11 So verilie a man shall say the just rewarded be Yea verily who in the earth doth judge a God is he PSAL. LIX ME from mine enmies O my God deliver by good will Defend me safely from them that rise up against me still verse 2 From workers of iniquitie deliver me I crave And also by thy mighty arme from bloody men me save verse 3 For lo they for my soul do wait the mighty gathred be Against me Lord not for my fault or any sin in me verse 4 They run and al 's prepare themselves without my fault most bold Awake in time me for to help and also to behold verse 5 LORD GOD of hosts thou Isra'ls awake to visit still The heathen be not mercifull unto transgressours ill verse 6 They at the evening time return they make a noise and sound Most like a dog and thus they goe about the citie round verse 7 Behold they with their filthy m● belch out without all feare Sharpe swords are also in their lip● for who say they doth heare ● verse 8 But thou O LORD shalt surely ● at them both great and small Thou also in derision shalt have still the heathen all verse 9 Because of his great power stre● I with great confidence Will wait upon thee ever still for GOD is my defence verse 10 Of my mercy the GOD me shall prevent as I require GOD shall upon mine enmies all let me see my desire verse 11 Not slay them lest my folk forget them who refuse to yeeld By thy might scatter and bring down O LORD our only shield verse 12 For the sin of their vile mouth and words of their lips not meek Let them be taken in their pride who cursing lying speak verse 14 In wrath consume them them consume that they no more may be That God in Jacob rules unto the earths ends let them see

LXXIX O GOD the heathen entred are thine heritage down tread Thy house defil'd is they on heaps Jerusalem have laid verse 2 The bodies of thy servants dead have they given to be meat Unto the fowls flesh of thy Saints to beasts on earth to eat verse 3 Their blood about Jerusalem like water shed they have And there was none left in that plac● to bury them in grave verse 4 We to our neighbours a reproach are made both neer and far A scorn derision unto them that round about us are verse 5 How long Lord wilt thou angry be for ever shall thine ire Be kindled Shall thy jealousie burn fearfully like fire verse 6 On heathē that have not thee kno● powre out thy wrath anone And on the kingdomes all that have not call'd thy Name upon verse 7 For they thy servant Jacob have devour'd with great disgrace And have most cruelly laid wast his pleasant dwelling place Remember not our former sins thy tender mercies now ●●t them prevent us speedilie for we are very low O God our Saviour for thy Names great glorie help us make ●eliver us and purge away our sins for thy names sake Why should the heathen say where is their God Let him be known ●●y just revenging in our sight the blood shed of thine own verse 11 According to thy power so great now let come unto thee ●he prisoners sighs save those that are appointed for to die verse 12 Into our neighbours bosome let seven fold now rendred be Their vile reproch wherewith O Lord they have reproched thee verse 13 So wee the people and the sheep ev'n of thy pasture still Will give thee thankes to ages all thy praise shew foorth we will PSAL. CVII VNto the LORD most mercifull O give now thanks together For he is good for his mercy endureth fast for ever verse 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so in all the land Whom safely he redeemed hath even from the enmies hand verse 3 And gathred them out of the lands wherein they were distrest From South and also from the North from East and from the West verse 4 They wandred in the wildernesse a solitarie way They found no city there at all wherein to dwell or stay verse 5 They hungry all and thirsty al 's were forced to lament Their soul in them in this distresse most fearfully did faint verse 6 Then in their trouble to the LOR● they fervently did cry And he them out of their distresse deliv'red by and by verse 7 And he in mercy led them foorth by the right way also That their transgression and their iniquitie Fools who do hate instruction oft sore afflicted be verse 18 Their weari'd soul alwayes abhor● all maner of meat that 's heer And they unto the gates of death by sicknesse still draw neer verse 19 Then in their trouble to the LOR● they fervently do cry He out of their distresses all them saveth by and by verse 20 He sent his word to them anone and heal'd them great and small And also he deliv'red them from their destructions all verse 21 Oh that all men would praise the Lord for his great goodnes then ●nd for his works most wonderfull unto the sons of men verse 22 To sacrifice the sacrifice of thanks let them not spare ●nd with rejoicing chearfully his wondrous works declare verse 23 Who to the sea go down in ships that trade in waters great verse 24 They see Gods works wonders al 's which in the depths he set verse 25 For he the stormy wind commands and raiseth by and by Which furiously the waves thereof lifts up unto the Sky verse 26 They mount up to the heav'n they go down to the depths again Their soul is melted fearfully because of troubling pain verse 27 They reel both to fro while ● to save themselves intend And stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits end verse 28 Then in their trouble to the LOR● they fervently do cry And out of their distresses he them bringeth by and by verse 29 The raging storm a pleasant cal● he maketh at his will So that in a most wondrous way the waves thereof are still verse 30 Then are they glad because that ● no more with tempests driv'n Most quiet be so he them brings to their desired hav'n verse 31 Oh that all men would praise ● LOR● for his great goodnesse then And for his works most wonderfull unto the sons of men verse 32 Al 's in the congregation great let them exalt him hie And thankfully still praise him where th'Elders assembled be verse 33 He turns into a wildernesse the rivers by and by ●nd water springs into a ground that is exceeding dry verse 34 A fertile and a fruitfull land he turns to barrennesse ●ecause the men that dwell therein are given to wickednesse verse 35 Into a standing water all the wildernesse he brings ●nd he the dry and thirsty ground turnes into water springs verse 36 There he doth make the hungrie dwell that they a city fair ●or pleasant habitation may most joyfully prepare verse 37 And plant vineyards aboundantly and also sow the field Which may at last most plenteously the fruits of increase yeeld verse 38 He also blesseth them so that they greatly do increase And suffreth not by any hurt their cattell to decrease verse 39 Again they minish'd are and broght down low far from relief Through very great oppression affliction al 's and grief verse 40 On Princes he doth powre cōtempt and causeth them to stray In the wast barren wildernesse wherein there is no way verse 41 Yet from affliction he the poore sets high as on a rock And him in mercy maketh al 's great fam'lies like a flock verse 42 The righteous man it well shall se● and heartily rejoice And after all iniquitie her mouth shall stop and close verse 43 Who so is wise and wil those

CXII PRaise ye the Lord blest is the man that fears the LORD aright That in his wise commandments all still greatly doth delight verse 2 His seed shall mighty be upon the earth assuredlie The uprights generation shall for ever blessed be verse 3 Great wealth and riches ever fast shall in his house be sure And his most perfect righteousnesse for ever doth endure verse 4 To the upright ariseth light in darknesse speedilie Most gracious of compassion full and righteous al 's is he verse 5 A good man sheweth favour still and willingly doth lend He with discretion his affaires will guide ev'n to the end verse 6 He surely not for ever shall be mov'd so fix'd is he The righteous in remembrance sure shall everlasting be verse 7 He shall not be afraid of what ill tidings can afford His heart is ever fixed fast still trusting in the Lord. verse 8 His heart always estabish'd is he not afraid shall be Untill upon his enmies all his full desire he see verse 9 He hath dispersd and given to poor his righteousnesse for ay Endures his horn with honour shall exalted be alway verse 10 The wicked grieved shall it see his teeth he gnashing all Shall melt away and the desire of ill men perish shall PSAL. CXIII PRaise ye the Lord O of the Lord ye servants now proclame His worthy praise of God the Lord praise the most holy Name verse 2 Now of the LORD most blessed be the Name which we adore From this time forth from age to age and al 's for evermore verse 3 From the first rising of the Sun unto his going down The LORDS Name to be honour'd is with praise and great renown verse 4 The LORD above all nations is most high in Majestie And likewise is his glory great above the heavens hie verse 5 Who is now like unto the LORD our God who doth excell Who on high in the highest heav'n with Majestie doth dwell verse 6 Who though most high yet he himse●● still humbleth in his love Things to behold that are on earth and in the heav'ns above verse 7 Out of the dust he raiseth up the poor in miserie And out of the dung hill also the needie lifteth hie verse 8 That he him up in dignitie with Princes high may set With those that of his people all are ev'n the Princes great He doth the barren woman make to keep house and to be A mother glade of children dear the mighty LORD praise yee PSAL. CXIIII WHen Israel out of Egypt land went by a happy change And Jacobs house a people left that were of language strange His Sanctuarie Judah was wherein he chosd to dwell ●nd Isra'l his dominion al 's which he did rule right well The sea it saw and as in feare with hast the flight did take And Jordans river running straight was driv'n most quickly back verse 4 The mountains steep with their high tops did quake and skip as rams So did like wise the little hills ev'n like the younger lambs verse 5 What aild thee O thou troubled f● that thou the flight didst take Thou Jordan that so speedilie thou wast by force driv'n back verse 6 Ye mountaines high what was 〈◊〉 cau●● that ye did skip like rams What mov'd you also little hills to skip like younger lambs verse 7 Thou at the presence of the Lord earth tremble all and fear Ev'n at the presence of the GOD of Jacob to him dear verse 8 Which into waters turn'd the ro● ev'n standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters clear did make PSAL.
