death_n be_v swallow_v up_o in_o victory_n therefore_o saint_n paul_n in_o the_o precedent_n and_o subsequent_a verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n seem_v to_o insult_v and_o triumph_v over_o death_n oh_o death_n faith_n he_o where_o be_v thy_o sting_n oh_o grave_n where_o be_v thy_o victory_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v before_o christ_n come_v and_o conquer_v thou_o death_n thou_o be_v victorious_a two_o part_n division_n first_o the_o sting_n of_o death_n second_o the_o strength_n of_o sin_n first_o the_o sting_n of_o death_n be_v sin_n second_o the_o strength_n of_o sin_n be_v the_o law_n if_o there_o be_v no_o law_n there_o will_v be_v no_o sin_n and_o if_o there_o be_v no_o sin_n there_o will_v be_v no_o death_n sin_n be_v the_o transgression_n of_o the_o law_n and_o sin_n be_v the_o sting_n of_o death_n i_o shall_v only_o at_o this_o time_n insist_v upon_o the_o first_o of_o these_o from_o whence_o i_o shall_v deliver_v that_o which_o if_o it_o please_v god_n to_o accompany_v with_o his_o spirit_n may_v be_v useful_a to_o you_o the_o proposition_n shall_v be_v the_o very_a word_n of_o the_o text._n sin_n be_v the_o sting_n of_o death_n this_o proposition_n i_o will_v not_o have_v you_o understaud_v in_o this_o sense_n only_o death_n that_o death_n come_v in_o by_o sin_n mere_o in_o a_o habit_n though_o that_o be_v true_a too_o but_o understand_v it_o in_o this_o sense_n in_o hell_n and_o in_o this_o part_n sin_n be_v the_o sting_n and_o remember_v this_o by_o the_o way_n sin_n be_v not_o only_o a_o sting_n now_o but_o it_o will_v be_v a_o sting_n to_o man_n in_o hell_n the_o sting_n the_o deadliness_n the_o exreamity_n of_o punishment_n that_o be_v in_o hell_n it_o be_v receive_v all_o from_o sin_n for_o the_o damn_a in_o hell_n when_o they_o come_v there_o as_o they_o cease_v not_o to_o sin_n so_o the_o sting_n of_o sin_n cease_v not_o to_o be_v with_o they_o and_o it_o may_v be_v deliver_v by_o conjecture_n i_o think_v hell_n be_v no_o hell_n if_o home_o with_o the_o lord_n from_o who_o we_o be_v absent_a as_o long_o as_o we_o be_v at_o home_n in_o these_o body_n four_o simile_n to_o prepare_v their_o body_n for_o renew_v at_o the_o last_o in_o christ_n yet_o we_o be_v still_o in_o that_o estate_n wherein_o it_o be_v appoint_v to_o all_o man_n once_o to_o die_v thus_o even_o temporal_a death_n be_v leave_v to_o the_o child_n of_o god_n commit_v for_o be_v the_o offence_n of_o a_o infinite_a majesty_n it_o deserve_v a_o infinite_a punishment_n for_o we_o know_v oftence_n be_v reckon_v of_o for_o their_o greatness_n according_a as_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o person_n be_v against_o who_o they_o be_v commit_v if_o he_o that_o clip_v the_o king_n coin_n or_o deface_v the_o king_n arm_n or_o counterfeit_v the_o broad_a seal_n of_o england_n or_o the_o prince_n privy_a seal_n aught_o to_o die_v as_o a_o traitor_n because_o this_o disgrace_n tend_v to_o the_o person_n of_o the_o prince_n much_o more_o ought_v he_o that_o violate_v the_o law_n of_o god_n die_v the_o first_o and_o second_o death_n too_o because_o it_o tend_v to_o the_o deface_v of_o the_o image_n and_o the_o disgrace_n of_o the_o person_n of_o god_n wool_n and_o can_v no_o more_o be_v sever_v from_o the_o soul_n than_o the_o spot_n from_o the_o leopard_n it_o remain_v as_o the_o soul_n be_v eternal_a and_o as_o that_o be_v everlasting_a so_o sin_n be_v infinite_a in_o durance_n and_o continuance_n and_o deserve_v a_o infinite_a wage_n and_o punishment_n which_o be_v eternal_a death_n three_o desire_v it_o be_v infinite_a also_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o tie_n between_o the_o desire_n and_o endeavour_v of_o a_o impenitent_a sinner_n for_o his_o desire_n be_v to_o walk_v on_o still_o in_o sin_n and_o except_o god_n cut_v off_o the_o line_n of_o life_n never_o to_o give_v over_o sin_v but_o he_o will_v run_v on_o infinite_o commit_v sin_n even_o with_o greediness_n and_o it_o be_v reason_n that_o as_o god_n accept_v the_o will_n for_o the_o deed_n in_o godliness_n so_o he_o shall_v punish_v the_o will_n for_o the_o deed_n in_o wickedness_n if_o we_o sin_v according_a to_o our_o eternity_n in_o our_o will_n and_o purpose_n to_o sin_n god_n will_v punish_v we_o according_a to_o his_o eternity_n it_o be_v just_a that_o they_o that_o will_v never_o be_v without_o sin_n if_o they_o may_v have_v their_o own_o be_v to_o take_v away_o a_o fond_a popish_a distinction_n of_o mortal_a and_o venial_a sin_n they_o teach_v some_o sin_n to_o be_v venial_a that_o be_v such_o sin_n as_o in_o their_o own_o nature_n able_a to_o see_v and_o to_o move_v and_o to_o talk_v etc._n etc._n what_o unbind_v the_o spiritual_a sense_n of_o a_o man_n in_o this_o sleep_n of_o sin_n only_o faith_n in_o the_o son_n of_o god_n that_o open_v the_o eye_n of_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a in_o sin_n it_o restore_v new_a sense_n and_o life_n that_o they_o be_v able_a to_o walk_v in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o to_o move_v in_o the_o action_n of_o godliness_n and_o christianity_n therefore_o the_o second_o thing_n that_o a_o man_n must_v do_v to_o awake_v himself_o out_o of_o sleep_n be_v to_o get_v faith_n in_o his_o soul_n of_o the_o body_n be_v this_o what_o when_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v actual_o separate_v from_o the_o dead_a body_n returns_z again_o to_o its_o proper_a body_n and_o be_v unite_v to_o it_o the_o man_n rise_v up_o out_o of_o the_o grave_a with_o a_o immortal_a incorruptible_a body_n to_o lead_v a_o glorify_a life_n this_o it_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o body_n now_o that_o christ_n be_v
