so_o far_o as_o they_o act_v according_a to_o it_o they_o do_v die_v spiritual_o for_o such_o reason_n as_o these_o the_o apostle_n speak_v that_o heb._n 10.26_o if_o we_o sin_v wilful_o he_o faith_n not_o you_o but_o we_o if_o we_o sin_v wilful_o after_o we_o have_v receive_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n there_o remain_v no_o more_o sacrifice_n for_o sin_n but_o a_o certain_a fearful_a look_v for_o of_o judgement_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v even_o for_o we_o if_o we_o so_o sin_n it_o may_v be_v object_v be_v this_o a_o sit_v and_o proper_a argument_n to_o work_v upon_o true_a shall_v die_v if_o etc._n etc._n all_o consideration_n be_v needful_a in_o this_o world_n to_o keep_v we_o awake_v god_n think_v it_o a_o proper_a and_o fit_a argument_n to_o lay_v before_o adam_n when_o he_o have_v no_o flesh_n no_o corruption_n in_o he_o in_o the_o day_n thou_o eat_v thereof_o thou_o shall_v die_v why_o then_o be_v it_o not_o a_o proper_a and_o fit_a argument_n to_o be_v propound_v to_o those_o who_o have_v much_o sin_n remain_v in_o they_o though_o they_o be_v in_o christ_n be_v not_o under_o that_o covenant_n under_o which_o adam_n be_v and_o can_v fall_v as_o he_o do_v yet_o be_v this_o argument_n rather_o more_o suitable_a to_o they_o than_o to_o adam_n even_o the_o argument_n of_o death_n in_o this_o respect_n because_o they_o have_v much_o flesh_n in_o part_n but_o this_o may_v more_o curb_v remain_v corruption_n and_o work_v upon_o the_o heart_n when_o in_o a_o fearless_a careless_a frame_n and_o if_o the_o soul_n be_v in_o never_o so_o good_a a_o frame_n to_o hear_v that_o they_o who_o live_v after_o the_o flesh_n shall_v die_v may_v stir_v it_o up_o to_o thankfulness_n that_o through_o and_o in_o christ_n it_o be_v secure_a and_o the_o more_o thankful_a the_o more_o obedient_a shall_v we_o be_v to_o god_n if_o any_o say_v that_o grace_n most_o work_n upon_o they_o i_o answer_v the_o more_o any_o be_v draw_v by_o grace_n the_o less_o do_v love_n more_o tenderness_n towards_o their_o corruption_n than_o to_o their_o very_a body_n how_o many_o endure_v much_o suffer_v great_o in_o their_o body_n and_o venture_v and_o lose_v not_o unusual_o their_o life_n itself_o from_o their_o love_n to_o some_o vile_a lust_n which_o be_v to_o they_o as_o their_o right_a eye_n their_o right_a hand_n or_o right_a foot_n and_o as_o their_o life_n itself_o skin_n for_o skin_n and_o all_o that_o a_o man_n have_v will_v he_o give_v for_o his_o life_n only_o a_o man_n lust_n that_o be_v many_o time_n so_o dear_a to_o he_o he_o will_v hazard_v his_o life_n to_o satisfy_v it_o rather_o than_o lay_v it_o aside_o or_o part_n with_o it_o 3._o corruption_n grow_v with_o the_o flesh_n and_o as_o the_o flesh_n be_v strong_a or_o weak_a so_o frequent_o be_v the_o working_n of_o lust_n hence_o the_o apostle_n say_v he_o keep_v under_o his_o body_n in_o fickness_n in_o bodily_a weakness_n this_o and_o that_o sin_n do_v not_o ordinary_o use_n of_o a_o man_n reason_n it_o cause_v he_o to_o act_v as_o unreasonable_o irrational_o as_o if_o he_o have_v not_o a_o reasonable_a soul_n it_o make_v many_o a_o man_n like_o nebuchadnezar_n when_o his_o understanding_n go_v from_o he_o fit_a for_o the_o society_n of_o beast_n than_o of_o reasonable_a creature_n live_v like_o themselves_o when_o a_o lust_n prevail_v in_o the_o psalmist_n he_o say_v i_o be_v as_o a_o beast_n before_o thou_o and_o hence_o graceless_a man_n under_o the_o full_a power_n of_o iniquity_n be_v compare_v to_o beast_n in_o scripture_n and_o call_v dog_n seem_v to_o teach_v we_o immediate_o from_o god_n than_o it_o be_v by_o the_o body_n not_o by_o the_o soul_n that_o sin_n be_v propagate_v god_n be_v the_o father_n of_o spirit_n but_o he_o be_v not_o only_o in_o some_o degree_n you_o will_v deserve_v death_n you_o will_v be_v deserve_o liable_a thereto_o whenever_o you_o do_v but_o begin_v to_o step_v after_o the_o flesh_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o will_v depart_v his_o soul_n will_v depart_v from_o we_o jer._n 6.8_o he_o will_v leave_v we_o as_o he_o leave_v saul_n who_o thereupon_o die_v before_o he_o die_v because_o god_n be_v go_v his_o life_n be_v go_v so_o god_n will_v go_v from_o we_o he_o will_v draw_v in_o the_o beam_n of_o his_o favour_n he_o will_v hide_v himself_o he_o will_v take_v his_o good_a spirit_n from_o we_o and_o joy_n or_o none_o that_o be_v worth_a the_o have_v none_o but_o such_o as_o you_o have_v better_o be_v without_o such_o as_o be_v rather_o the_o death_n than_o the_o life_n of_o the_o soul_n rom._n 7.9_o sin_n revive_v and_o i_o die_v and_o the_o commandment_n which_o be_v ordain_v to_o life_n i_o find_v to_o be_v unto_o death_n he_o intend_v he_o lose_v his_o former_a confidence_n hope_v our_o lord_n so_o 1_o thess_n last_o 24_o and_o 2_o thess_n 3.3_o and_o as_o god_n be_v faithful_a so_o it_o be_v sure_a he_o be_v able_a otherwise_o he_o will_v never_o have_v begin_v his_o work_n in_o we_o as_o may_v be_v argue_v from_o those_o word_n of_o christ_n luke_n 14.28_o 29_o 30._o which_o of_o you_o intend_v to_o build_v a_o tower_n sit_v not_o down_o first_o and_o count_v the_o cost_n whether_o he_o have_v sufficient_a to_o finish_v it_o lest_o haply_o after_o he_o have_v say_v the_o foundation_n and_o be_v not_o able_a to_o finish_v it_o all_o that_o behold_v it_o begin_v of_o reason_n why_o we_o shall_v spare_v any_o sin_n good_a reason_n there_o may_v be_v for_o a_o man_n to_o spare_v outward_a enemy_n and_o to_o do_v those_o good_a who_o hate_v he_o this_o may_v be_v a_o honour_n to_o a_o man_n theodosius_n the_o emperor_n be_v high_o commend_v for_o that_o when_o he_o be_v move_v to_o execute_v one_o who_o revile_v he_o he_o say_v that_o be_v it_o in_o his_o power_n he_o have_v rather_o raise_v his_o dead_a enemy_n than_o put_v to_o death_n his_o live_n or_o there_o may_v be_v hope_n that_o a_o man_n enemy_n will_v grow_v better_o in_o time_n if_o spare_v say_v there_o be_v life_n and_o which_o be_v better_o than_o life_n yea_o for_o the_o most_o part_n at_o least_o we_o shall_v or_o may_v have_v the_o shine_a of_o it_o into_o we_o the_o light_n of_o god_n countenance_n ever_o and_o anon_o lift_v up_o upon_o we_o we_o shall_v have_v the_o blessing_n of_o god_n all_o thing_n will_v be_v blessed_v to_o we_o many_o affliction_n will_v gracious_o be_v
