grace_n prevail_v not_o against_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n than_o fear_n be_v predominant_a and_o we_o be_v not_o sincere_a to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o you_o must_v distinguish_v between_o such_o a_o prevail_a as_o maintain_v our_o sincerity_n and_o such_o a_o prevail_a as_o also_o procure_v our_o fortitude_n and_o joy_n if_o grace_n prevail_v not_o to_o keep_v we_o upright_o in_o a_o holy_a life_n renounce_v the_o world_n and_o crucify_a the_o flesh_n and_o devote_v ourselves_o entire_o to_o god_n though_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n will_v draw_v we_o from_o it_o than_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o we_o be_v not_o sincere_a but_o if_o grace_n do_v this_o much_o and_o yet_o prevail_v not_o against_o all_o fear_n and_o unwillingness_n to_o die_v but_o leave_v we_o under_o uncomfortable_a hideous_a thought_n of_o death_n this_o prove_v we_o not_o to_o be_v unsound_a for_o the_o soul_n may_v save_o love_v god_n that_o be_v afraid_a of_o death_n and_o he_o may_v true_o love_v the_o end_n that_o fear_v this_o dark_a and_o dismal_a way_n yet_o must_v there_o be_v so_o much_o to_o prove_v our_o uprightness_n as_o that_o in_o our_o deliberate_a choice_n we_o will_v rather_o voluntary_o pass_v through_o death_n either_o natural_a or_o violent_a then_o lose_v the_o happiness_n beyond_o it_o though_o we_o love_v not_o death_n yet_o we_o love_v god_n and_o heaven_n so_o well_o that_o we_o will_v submit_v to_o it_o and_o though_o we_o fear_v it_o and_o abhor_v it_o yet_o not_o so_o much_o as_o we_o fear_v and_o abhor_v the_o loss_n of_o heaven_n let_v not_o poor_a christian_n therefore_o wrong_v themselves_o and_o deny_v the_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o if_o they_o have_v more_o mind_n of_o earth_n than_o heaven_n and_o of_o thing_n temporal_a then_o of_o thing_n eternal_a because_o they_o be_v afraid_a to_o die_v all_o suffering_n be_v grievous_a and_o not_o joyous_a to_o our_o nature_n paul_n himself_o desire_v not_o to_o be_v unclothe_v all_o and_o bitter_o complain_v of_o the_o vanity_n and_o vexation_n when_o they_o come_v to_o die_v and_o if_o our_o life_n and_o the_o world_n be_v bring_v hereby_o into_o such_o disorder_n when_o man_n live_v so_o shore_n a_o time_n on_o earth_n what_o monster_n of_o ambition_n and_o covetousness_n and_o luxury_n will_v man_n be_v if_o they_o live_v as_o long_o as_o before_o the_o flood_n even_o to_o eight_o hundred_o or_o nine_o hundred_o year_n of_o age_n doubtless_o long_a life_n be_v so_o great_a a_o temptation_n then_o to_o man_n in_o his_o corrupt_a state_n that_o it_o be_v no_o
