trouble_a conscience_n whether_o they_o be_v out_o of_o quiet_a and_o full_a of_o care_n about_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o their_o sin_n or_o else_o be_v trouble_v about_o the_o use_n of_o the_o creature_n &_o of_o other_o indifferent_a thing_n so_o as_o they_o may_v use_v they_o most_o free_o without_o any_o doubt_n or_o scruple_n of_o conscience_n theoph._n but_o that_o use_n of_o indifferent_a thing_n seem_v not_o to_o avail_v much_o to_o the_o quiet_v of_o our_o conscience_n much_o less_o to_o the_o spiritual_a worship_n of_o god_n whereunto_o notwithstanding_o it_o be_v ascribe_v by_o thou_o matth._n it_o profit_v much_o unto_o both_o and_o indeed_o first_o of_o all_o except_o we_o do_v certain_o know_v that_o we_o may_v free_o use_v the_o creature_n of_o god_n our_o thou_o mention_v of_o offence_n mat._n because_o it_o must_v special_o be_v take_v heed_n unto_o that_o by_o our_o liberty_n we_o give_v no_o offence_n to_o the_o weak_a for_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christian_a liberty_n be_v not_o against_o the_o rule_n charity_n theoph._n what_o be_v a_o offence_n mat._n offence_n of_o offence_n the_o word_n proper_o signify_v something_o lay_v in_o the_o way_n upon_o the_o which_o he_o that_o walk_v may_v stumble_v and_o fall_v in_o this_o place_n by_o translation_n or_o a_o borrow_a kind_n of_o sense_n it_o be_v take_v for_o that_o by_o the_o which_o we_o be_v hinder_v from_o receive_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o truth_n or_o else_o be_v turn_v from_o it_o after_o we_o have_v receive_v it_o in_o which_o sense_n he_o be_v say_v to_o offend_v one_o offence_n the_o one_o be_v call_v a_o offence_n take_v which_o fall_v upon_o the_o head_n of_o the_o taker_n forasmuch_o as_o none_o occasion_n be_v give_v as_o for_o example_n if_o any_o take_v offence_n because_o his_o neighbour_n do_v somewhat_o that_o be_v command_v of_o god_n or_o refuse_v to_o do_v some_o evil_a thing_n forbid_v of_o god_n for_o even_o as_o our_o liberty_n must_v be_v subject_a unto_o charity_n so_o charity_n ought_v to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o purity_n of_o faith_n and_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n therefore_o thou_o may_v not_o offend_v god_n to_o avoid_v the_o offence_n of_o
