he_o do_v open_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n to_o all_o that_o will_v accept_v of_o it_o upon_o those_o term_n on_o which_o god_n be_v please_v to_o offâ—r_v it_o and_o this_o deliverance_n from_o both_o be_v ever_o under_o such_o a_o covenant_n as_o do_v admit_v of_o repentance_n for_o if_o a_o jew_n have_v transgress_v any_o of_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n he_o be_v to_o die_v without_o mercy_n or_o at_o least_o to_o undergo_v the_o penalty_n of_o the_o law_n which_o the_o breach_n or_o trangression_n do_v require_v and_o the_o state_n of_o the_o gentile_n be_v i_o may_v say_v far_o worse_o the_o covenant_n that_o they_o be_v under_o be_v but_o the_o covenant_n of_o nature_n which_o admit_v of_o no_o repentance_n for_o our_o first_o parent_n break_v term_n with_o god_n do_v bring_v misery_n upon_o their_o posterity_n &_o under_o this_o misery_n all_o mankind_n do_v groan_v &_o by_o this_o mean_v they_o have_v exclude_v themselves_o from_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n christ_n do_v appear_v to_o execute_v the_o office_n of_o reconcile_a man_n to_o the_o eternal_a god_n by_o bring_v a_o clear_a knowledge_n of_o god_n into_o the_o world_n by_o propose_v such_o term_n &_o mean_n as_o may_v conduce_v to_o their_o happiness_n both_o in_o this_o world_n and_o in_o the_o next_o for_o consider_v that_o the_o condition_n of_o man_n be_v such_o as_o do_v render_v they_o to_o almighty_a god_n to_o be_v his_o enemy_n for_o they_o go_v on_o in_o sin_n and_o in_o open_a hostility_n against_o he_o now_o if_o it_o be_v the_o design_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o be_v a_o mean_n of_o their_o be_v save_v or_o to_o speak_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n christ_n himself_o in_o my_o text_n to_o save_v that_o which_o be_v lose_v then_o it_o evident_o appear_v that_o he_o must_v put_v they_o in_o a_o posture_n to_o receive_v and_o accept_v this_o salvation_n &_o that_o must_v be_v by_o reconcile_a they_o to_o god_n therefore_o when_o we_o hear_v christ_n to_o give_v notice_n to_o man_n that_o he_o come_v to_o save_v they_o we_o must_v understand_v that_o he_o first_o reconcile_v they_o by_o procure_v pardon_n for_o their_o sin_n by_o his_o death_n to_o restore_v they_o to_o favour_n to_o propose_v easy_a &_o free_a condition_n of_o mercy_n in_o his_o gospel_n &_o to_o use_v man_n so_o friendly_a as_o not_o to_o preclude_v the_o way_n of_o salvation_n but_o invite_v he_o to_o repentance_n and_o to_o promise_v a_o pardon_n for_o all_o past_a sin_n so_o that_o man_n may_v thereby_o be_v induce_v to_o come_v to_o god_n and_o accept_v of_o the_o salvation_n which_o be_v design_v by_o god_n through_o christ_n to_o be_v offer_v to_o the_o world_n the_o sum_n of_o this_o amount_n to_o thus_o much_o that_o the_o design_n of_o christ_n come_v
into_o the_o world_n be_v to_o entitle_v man_n to_o all_o the_o act_n and_o title_n of_o friendship_n and_o kindness_n which_o be_v the_o consequence_n of_o this_o his_o design_n of_o save_v lose_v man_n which_o can_v be_v receive_v from_o god_n by_o man_n or_o give_v by_o god_n to_o man_n in_o this_o reconcile_a man_n to_o god_n which_o be_v effect_v by_o jesus_n christ_n we_o shall_v find_v these_o particular_n worth_a our_o serious_a consideration_n first_o that_o there_o be_v a_o intention_n on_o god_n part_n that_o as_o there_o be_v a_o valuable_a consideration_n of_o the_o purchase_n of_o christ_n by_o he_o make_v in_o procure_v man_n salvation_n so_o it_o shall_v be_v appliable_a to_o man_n without_o any_o fraud_n or_o limitation_n of_o the_o same_o to_o they_o so_o that_o by_o mean_n of_o man_n be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n he_o have_v plain_o set_v forth_o not_o only_o his_o willingness_n but_o his_o intent_n and_o purpose_n to_o save_v they_o second_o that_o he_o have_v put_v man_n into_o a_o fair_a possibility_n of_o be_v save_v so_o that_o if_o he_o voluntary_o sin_v his_o destruction_n be_v of_o himself_o for_o now_o he_o have_v take_v off_o from_o they_o the_o guile_n and_o condemnation_n which_o be_v bring_v into_o the_o world_n by_o adam_n transgression_n so_o that_o the_o guilt_n of_o our_o first_o parent_n shall_v not_o be_v lay_v to_o our_o charge_n
