ministry_n of_o death_n and_o to_o work_v wrath_n now_o to_o these_o place_n i_o answer_v these_o thing_n first_o that_o if_o they_o shall_v be_v rigid_o and_o universal_o true_a than_o that_o doctrine_n of_o the_o socinian_o will_v plain_o prevail_v who_o from_o these_o place_n of_o scripture_n do_v urge_v that_o there_o be_v no_o grace_n or_o faith_n nor_o nothing_o of_o christ_n yea_o they_o be_v say_v to_o partake_v of_o more_o grievous_a judgement_n who_o despise_v christ_n than_o those_o that_o despise_v the_o law_n of_o moses_n so_o that_o this_o effect_n of_o the_o law_n be_v mere_o accidental_a through_o our_o corruption_n only_o here_o be_v the_o difference_n god_n do_v not_o vouchsafe_v any_o such_o grace_n as_o whereby_o we_o can_v have_v justification_n in_o a_o a_o respective_a sense_n according_a to_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o jew_n who_o take_v these_o without_o christ_n make_v it_o a_o kill_a letter_n even_o as_o if_o we_o shall_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n without_o the_o grace_n of_o christ_n and_o certain_o if_o any_o jew_n have_v stand_v up_o and_o say_v to_o moses_n why_o do_v you_o say_v you_o give_v we_o the_o doctrine_n of_o life_n it_o be_v nothing_o but_o a_o kill_a letter_n and_o the_o ministry_n of_o death_n will_v he_o not_o have_v be_v judge_v a_o blasphemer_n against_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n the_o apostle_n therefore_o must_v understand_v it_o as_o separate_v yea_o and_o oppose_v to_o christ_n and_o his_o grace_n and_o last_o we_o be_v still_o to_o retain_v that_o distinction_n of_o the_o law_n in_o a_o be_v the_o fulfil_n of_o the_o law_n in_o a_o perfect_a manner_n lecture_n xxv_o rome_n 3._o 27._o where_o be_v boast_v then_o it_o be_v exclude_v by_o what_o law_n of_o work_n nay_o but_o of_o to_o the_o participation_n of_o the_o covenant_n but_o in_o this_o difference_n also_o there_o be_v much_o absurd_a falsehood_n and_o contradiction_n to_o himself_o contradiction_n i_o say_v for_o he_o bring_v ezech._n 16._o where_o god_n speak_v to_o the_o church_n that_o while_o she_o be_v in_o her_o blood_n he_o say_v to_o she_o live_v therefore_o there_o be_v no_o antecedent_n condition_n grace_n upon_o we_o if_o say_v they_o we_o must_v repent_v and_o humble_v ourselves_o and_o so_o have_v pardon_n this_o be_v to_o cast_v off_o christ_n this_o be_v to_o make_v a_o idol_n of_o our_o own_o righteousness_n etc._n etc._n it_o seem_v the_o jew_n under_o the_o old_a testament_n may_v do_v all_o these_o thing_n without_o blame_n a_o jew_n may_v say_v my_o service_n my_o sacrifice_n my_o prayer_n will_v do_v something_o to_o the_o remission_n of_o my_o sin_n but_o a_o christian_a may_v not_o the_o author_n urge_v also_o that_o place_n while_o we_o be_v enemy_n we_o be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n but_o do_v not_o this_o hold_v true_a of_o the_o jew_n do_v they_o first_o make_v themselves_o friend_n with_o god_n what_o be_v this_o but_o to_o hold_v the_o doctrine_n of_o freewill_n and_o work_n in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o grace_n under_o the_o new_a only_o as_o for_o faith_n whether_o that_o be_v a_o condition_n or_o not_o i_o shall_v not_o here_o meddle_v only_o this_o be_v plain_a it_o be_v require_v of_o they_o under_o the_o old_a covenant_n in_o the_o same_o manner_n as_o it_o be_v of_o we_o now_o a_o three_o difference_n make_v as_o to_o remission_n of_o sin_n be_v this_o their_o remission_n of_o sin_n be_v gradatim_fw-la successive_o drop_n by_o drop_n if_o a_o perfect_a man_n have_v sin_v and_o offer_v can_v that_o take_v away_o all_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o some_o sin_n unless_o the_o author_n be_v a_o socinian_n deny_v the_o efficacy_n of_o christ_n blood_n at_o all_o under_o the_o old_a testament_n he_o can_v never_o expedite_v himself_o from_o this_o again_o this_o contradict_v themselves_o for_o the_o reason_n why_o they_o say_v faith_n do_v not_o justify_v but_o evidence_n and_o declare_v it_o only_o be_v because_o god_n love_n and_o free_a grace_n to_o justify_v be_v from_o all_o eternity_n and_o therefore_o no_o sin_n past_a or_o future_a can_v hinder_v this_o now_o i_o of_o sin_n as_o well_o under_o the_o new_a testament_n which_o do_v suppose_v that_o we_o be_v justify_v and_o have_v our_o sin_n pardon_v in_o the_o like_a manner_n in_o the_o mean_a while_n let_v i_o set_v one_o antinomian_n to_o overthrow_v another_o for_o one_o of_o that_o way_n bring_v many_o argument_n to_o prove_v that_o we_o be_v justify_v and_o so_o have_v all_o our_o sin_n do_v away_o before_o we_o believe_v now_o if_o all_o sin_n be_v do_v away_o then_o there_o be_v no_o successive_a remission_n well_o then_o you_o shall_v observe_v most_o of_o the_o argument_n hold_v for_o the_o believer_n under_o the_o old_a testament_n as_o well_o as_o new_a for_o they_o be_v elect_v as_o well_o as_o we_o god_n lay_v their_o sin_n upon_o christ_n as_o well_o as_o we_o if_o god_n love_v we_o to_o day_n and_o hate_v we_o to_o morrow_n let_v arminian_n hear_v and_o wonder_v why_o they_o shall_v be_v blame_v that_o say_v we_o may_v love_v god_n to_o day_n and_o hate_v he_o to_o morrow_n now_o all_o these_o reason_n will_v fall_v foul_a upon_o this_o antinomian_a who_o error_n i_o confute_v and_o he_o much_o necessary_o hold_v that_o the_o godly_a have_v but_o half_a pardon_n yea_o
