sufficient_a reason_n to_o justify_v his_o stay_n away_o from_o this_o sacrament_n that_o it_o be_v a_o powerful_a motive_n to_o come_v to_o it_o not_o only_o because_o he_o that_o have_v the_o since_o this_o sacrament_n be_v one_o of_o these_o mean_n he_o that_o neglect_v it_o can_v promise_v himself_o a_o long_a continuance_n of_o that_o spirit_n in_o his_o soul_n and_o what_o if_o men_n that_o have_v frequent_v this_o ordinance_n have_v find_v no_o good_a by_o it_o for_o that_o must_v be_v their_o own_o fault_n and_o because_o they_o come_v to_o it_o like_o swine_n no_o wonder_n if_o they_o come_v away_o from_o it_o in_o no_o better_a condition_n 6._o though_o it_o be_v ready_o grant_v that_o true_a believer_n in_o their_o first_o conversion_n receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n yet_o that_o put_v no_o stop_n to_o their_o receive_n large_a and_o great_a influence_n of_o it_o by_o the_o use_n of_o this_o sacrament_n as_o grace_n be_v begin_v in_o their_o first_o conversion_n so_o it_o be_v increase_v by_o a_o conscientious_a use_n of_o this_o ordinance_n the_o come_n to_o it_o do_v not_o abate_v the_o power_n of_o this_o spirit_n but_o advance_v it_o this_o remembrance_n of_o he_o which_o child_n be_v not_o capable_a of_o much_o less_o of_o self-examination_n and_o therefore_o even_o under_o the_o law_n though_o infant_n be_v circumcise_v yet_o they_o be_v not_o admit_v to_o eat_v of_o the_o passover_n till_o they_o come_v to_o the_o use_v of_o their_o reason_n not_o to_o mention_v that_o this_o sacrament_n be_v design_v also_o for_o reformation_n of_o our_o life_n which_o infant_n have_v no_o occasion_n for_o at_o least_o no_o sense_n of_o during_o that_o state_n of_o innocence_n they_o can_v receive_v no_o prejudice_n by_o not_o receive_v the_o holy_a communion_n see_v there_o be_v not_o that_o necessity_n for_o it_o in_o they_o in_o point_n of_o amendment_n of_o life_n that_o there_o be_v in_o the_o adult_n ii_o yet_o from_o the_o necessity_n of_o self-examination_n before_o this_o sacrament_n we_o may_v very_o rational_o infer_v that_o as_o soon_o as_o young_a people_n be_v able_a to_o examine_v themselves_o they_o ought_v to_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a communion_n there_o be_v a_o emphasis_n in_o the_o apostle_n word_n mention_v before_o but_o let_v a_o man_n examine_v himself_o and_o so_o let_v he_o eat_v and_o drink_v which_o import_v not_o only_o that_o a_o person_n who_o have_v examine_v himself_o may_v come_v but_o withal_o that_o when_o he_o be_v capable_a of_o examine_v himself_o he_o ought_v to_o do_v it_o and_o so_o come_v to_o this_o holy_a ordinance_n i_o reckon_v that_o as_o soon_o as_o young_a man_n and_o woman_n be_v able_a to_o understand_v what_o sin_n and_o what_o holiness_n be_v what_o the_o design_n of_o christ_n death_n be_v and_o what_o heaven_n and_o salvation_n mean_v they_o be_v capable_a also_o of_o self-examination_n and_o consequent_o of_o come_v to_o the_o holy_a communion_n and_o if_o the_o creator_n be_v fit_a to_o be_v remember_v in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o youth_n the_o redeemer_n of_o man_n can_v be_v no_o improper_a object_n of_o that_o remembrance_n it_o must_v be_v a_o word_n of_o such_o import_n imply_v a_o very_a accurate_a search_n into_o our_o way_n and_o nice_a care_n to_o be_v find_v worthy_a which_o young_a man_n of_o fourteen_o or_o fifteen_o or_o sixteen_o may_v be_v suppose_v not_o so_o very_o capable_a of_o perform_v yet_o they_o be_v able_a to_o discern_v such_o sin_n as_o they_o find_v forbid_v in_o their_o catechism_n and_o have_v be_v
