as_o a_o common_a person_n now_o if_o our_o rise_n in_o christ_n as_o a_o common_a person_n will_v not_o infer_v that_o our_o resurrection_n be_v before_o faith_n than_o neither_o be_v our_o justification_n prove_v to_o be_v before_o faith_n because_o we_o be_v justify_v in_o christ_n as_o a_o common_a person_n and_o if_o we_o be_v justify_v simple_o in_o his_o resurrection_n â—t_a must_v covenant_n or_o final_o he_o have_v covenant_v to_o give_v we_o these_o blessing_n through_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n and_o no_o otherwise_o but_o then_o we_o be_v not_o in_o covenant_n before_o the_o consideration_n of_o christ_n death_n and_o beside_o which_o i_o most_o stick_v at_o than_o the_o whole_a reason_n why_o god_n shall_v punish_v his_o dear_a and_o only_a son_n so_o grievous_o be_v this_o it_o be_v his_o pleasure_n so_o to_o do_v but_o sure_o he_o that_o do_v not_o afflict_v man_n mere_o because_o he_o will_v lam._n 3._o 33._o will_v much_o less_o deal_n so_o with_o his_o son_n 3._o either_o christ_n and_o his_o merit_n be_v part_n of_o the_o blessing_n of_o this_o covenant_n or_o no._n if_o they_o be_v than_o it_o be_v false_a that_o christ_n merit_v all_o the_o effect_n and_o blessing_n of_o the_o covenant_n for_o he_o do_v not_o merit_v that_o himself_o may_v merit_v or_o be_v by_o his_o death_n the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o our_o blessing_n if_o not_o than_o the_o new-covenant_n be_v never_o a_o whit_n better_o or_o more_o excellent_a than_o the_o old_a the_o first_o covenant_n be_v faulty_a because_o it_o can_v not_o bring_v sinner_n to_o perfect_a happiness_n heb._n 8._o 7_o 8_o 9_o and_o 7._o 19_o rom._n 8._o 3._o if_o the_o new-covenant_n can_v give_v we_o the_o blessedness_n it_o promise_v unless_o christ_n merit_n and_o bring_v forth_o the_o effect_n thereof_o then_o be_v it_o altogether_o as_o impotent_a and_o unprofitable_a as_o the_o old_a a_o fair_a advancement_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n 4._o nor_o can_v i_o conceive_v how_o this_o eternal_a covenant_n can_v consist_v with_o what_o mr._n eyre_n have_v hitherto_o be_v dispute_v for_o viz._n that_o the_o new_a covenant_n be_v make_v with_o christ_n he_o perform_v the_o condition_n and_o we_o receive_v the_o benefit_n christ_n death_n be_v either_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n or_o of_o the_o effect_n of_o it_o not_o the_o former_a if_o it_o consist_v in_o god_n purpose_n mr._n eyre_n know_v how_o our_o divine_n disgust_v a_o conditional_a purpose_n in_o god_n and_o how_o it_o shall_v be_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o effect_n when_o it_o be_v not_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o covenant_n itself_o i_o can_v reach_v i_o know_v mr._n eyre_n will_v tell_v i_o that_o there_o be_v no_o condition_n of_o god_n purpose_n and_o yet_o there_o may_v be_v and_o be_v condition_n of_o the_o thing_n purpose_v but_o then_o that_o purpose_n be_v not_o a_o covenanr_n proper_o so_o call_v metaphorical_o it_o may_v be_v it_o may_v so_o be_v call_v but_o than_o it_o be_v such_o a_o covenant_n as_o be_v neither_o make_v with_o man_n nor_o with_o christ_n but_o with_o god_n himself_o be_v no_o more_o than_o his_o own_o resolution_n within_o himself_o and_o yet_o the_o foresay_a position_n viz._n that_o there_o be_v no_o condition_n of_o god_n purpose_n though_o there_o be_v cause_n of_o condition_n of_o the_o thing_n purpose_v have_v need_n of_o a_o distinction_n too_o for_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o they_o be_v the_o effect_n of_o purpose_n they_o have_v no_o other_o cause_n or_o condition_n and_o
