good_a i_o will_v sleep_v and_o rest_n amen_n chap._n xvi_o that_o true_a comfort_n be_v to_o be_v seek_v in_o god_n alone_o whatsoever_o i_o can_v desire_v or_o imagine_v for_o my_o comfort_n i_o look_v not_o for_o it_o here_o but_o hereafter_o for_o if_o i_o shall_v alone_o have_v all_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o world_n and_o may_v enjoy_v all_o the_o delight_n thereof_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o they_o can_v not_o long_o endure_v wherefore_o my_o soul_n thou_o can_v not_o be_v full_o comfort_v nor_o have_v perfect_a delight_n but_o in_o god_n the_o comforter_n of_o the_o poor_a and_o nor_o bless_v but_o in_o god_n that_o have_v create_v all_o thing_n thy_o whole_a beatitude_n and_o happiness_n consist_v not_o such_o as_o be_v see_v and_o commend_v by_o the_o foolish_a lover_n of_o the_o world_n but_o such_o as_o the_o good_a and_o faithful_a servant_n of_o christ_n expect_v and_o the_o spiritual_a and_o pure_a in_o heart_n who_o conversation_n be_v in_o heaven_n sometime_o have_v a_o foretaste_n of_o vain_a and_o short_a be_v all_o humane_a comfort_n bless_a and_o true_a be_v the_o comfort_n which_o be_v receive_v inward_o from_o the_o truth_n a_o religious_a man_n every_o where_o carry_v with_o he_o jesus_n his_o comforter_n and_o say_v unto_o he_o be_v present_a with_o i_o lord_n jesus_n in_o every_o place_n and_o time_n let_v this_o be_v my_o comfort_n to_o be_v willing_a to_o want_v all_o humane_a comfort_n and_o if_o thy_o comfort_n be_v want_v let_v thy_o will_n and_o just_a prove_v of_o i_o be_v unto_o i_o as_o the_o great_a comfort_n for_o thou_o christian._n lord_n for_o that_o thou_o be_v patient_a in_o thy_o life-time_n chief_o fulfil_v herein_o the_o commandment_n of_o thy_o father_n it_o be_v reason_n that_o i_o a_o miserable_a sinner_n that_o fight_v valiant_o christ._n son_n when_o thou_o perceive_v the_o desire_n of_o everlasting_a bliss_n to_o be_v give_v thou_o from_o above_o and_o desire_v to_o depart_v out_o of_o the_o tabernacle_n of_o this_o body_n that_o thou_o may_v behold_v my_o brightness_n without_o shadow_n of_o turn_v open_v thy_o heart_n wide_a and_o receive_v this_o holy_a inspiration_n with_o thy_o mere_a dignation_n of_o heavenly_a grace_n and_o divine_a favour_n to_o the_o end_n that_o thou_o may_v make_v a_o further_a progress_n in_o holiness_n and_o obtain_v great_a humility_n and_o prepare_v thyself_o for_o future_a battle_n and_o endeavour_v to_o cleave_v unto_o i_o with_o the_o whole_a affection_n of_o thy_o heart_n and_o serve_v i_o with_o a_o fervent_a desire_n 2._o son_n the_o fire_n burn_v many_o time_n but_o the_o flame_n ascend_v not_o up_o without_o smoke_n so_o likewise_o the_o desire_n of_o some_o man_n burn_v towards_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v not_o free_a from_o temptation_n of_o carnal_a affection_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o altogether_o pure_o for_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n that_o which_o they_o so_o exact_o request_v of_o he_o such_o be_v also_o oftentimes_o thy_o desire_n which_o thou_o have_v pretend_v to_o be_v so_o serious_a for_o that_o be_v not_o pure_a and_o perfect_a which_o be_v tincture_v with_o the_o love_n of_o thy_o own_o proper_a commodity_n and_o interest_n 3._o ask_v not_o that_o which_o be_v delightful_a and_o profitable_a to_o thou_o but_o that_o which_o be_v acceptable_a to_o i_o and_o appertain_v to_o my_o honour_n for_o if_o thou_o judge_v aright_o thou_o ought_v to_o prefer_v and_o follow_v my_o appointment_n rather_o than_o thy_o own_o desire_n or_o any_o desire_a thing_n i_o know_v thy_o desire_n and_o have_v hear_v thy_o frequent_a groan_n now_o thou_o will_v enjoy_v the_o glorious_a liberty_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n now_o do_v the_o everlasting_a habitation_n and_o the_o heavenly_a country_n replenish_v with_o all_o joy_n delight_v thou_o but_o that_o hour_n be_v not_o yet_o come_v as_o yet_o there_o be_v another_o time_n to_o wit_n a_o time_n of_o war_n a_o time_n of_o labour_n and_o trial_n thou_o desire_v to_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o chief_a good_a but_o thou_o can_v not_o attain_v it_o for_o the_o present_a i_o be_o he_o say_v the_o lord_n who_o thou_o nature_n will_v sometime_o be_v trouble_v and_o it_o be_v much_o if_o thou_o bear_v it_o with_o silence_n in_o these_o and_o many_o such_o like_a a_o faithful_a servant_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v wont_a to_o be_v try_v how_o he_o can_v deny_v and_o break_v himself_o in_o all_o thing_n there_o be_v scarce_o any_o thing_n wherein_o thou_o have_v have_v such_o need_n to_o die_v to_o thyself_o as_o in_o see_v and_o suffer_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o thy_o will_n especial_o when_o that_o be_v command_v which_o seem_v unto_o thou_o inconvenient_a or_o less_o profitable_a and_o for_o that_o thou_o be_v place_v under_o authority_n dare_v not_o resist_v high_a power_n therefore_o it_o seem_v hard_o to_o thou_o to_o walk_v at_o the_o beck_n of_o another_o and_o to_o leave_v all_o thy_o own_o opinion_n 6._o but_o consider_v son_n the_o fruit_n of_o these_o labour_n the_o end_n near_o at_o hand_n and_o the_o reward_n exceed_o great_a and_o thou_o shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o sustain_v they_o grievous_o that_o thou_o will_v take_v great_a comfort_n of_o thy_o patience_n for_o in_o regard_n of_o that_o little_a of_o thy_o will_n which_o now_o thou_o willing_o forsake_v
