understand_v well_o enough_o but_o as_o for_o passive_a obedience_n i_o think_v it_o be_v next_o door_n to_o that_o we_o call_v a_o bull_n or_o nonsense_n and_o to_o prove_v this_o i_o shall_v give_v you_o this_o plain_a instance_n suppose_v you_o have_v a_o jew_n to_o your_o servant_n and_o shall_v command_v he_o to_o do_v you_o some_o work_n or_o other_o on_o a_o saturday_n which_o he_o judge_v a_o breach_n of_o the_o four_o commandment_n that_o forbid_v he_o to_o work_v on_o the_o seven_o day_n or_o sabbath_n and_o you_o be_v very_o angry_a shall_v cudgel_v he_o sound_o for_o this_o refusal_n whereupon_o he_o tell_v you_o that_o you_o may_v beat_v he_o as_o long_o as_o you_o please_v he_o will_v not_o resist_v but_o yield_v a_o passive_a obedience_n but_o yet_o can_v not_o perform_v your_o command_n i_o ask_v you_o now_o whether_o you_o will_v rest_v satisfy_v that_o this_o jewish_a servant_n have_v sufficient_o perform_v what_o you_o bid_v he_o by_o submit_v to_o your_o cudgel_n and_o whether_o your_o dinner_n or_o horse_n will_v not_o be_v as_o much_o undress_v after_o this_o sort_n of_o passive_a obedience_n as_o it_o be_v before_o m._n perhaps_o indeed_o this_o phrase_n of_o passive_a obedience_n may_v be_v somewhat_o improper_a and_o may_v be_v more_o proper_o term_v a_o absolute_a subjection_n or_o submission_n but_o it_o be_v all_o one_o what_o we_o call_v it_o as_o long_o as_o you_o understand_v what_o we_o mean_v since_o such_o submission_n do_v sufficient_o avoid_v that_o anarchy_n and_o confusion_n which_o will_v necessary_o follow_v in_o case_n it_o be_v lawful_a for_o wife_n or_o child_n in_o any_o case_n whatsoever_o to_o resist_v their_o husband_n or_o father_n though_o for_o the_o defence_n of_o life_n itself_o since_o no_o government_n can_v be_v maintain_v where_o the_o party_n govern_v have_v a_o right_a to_o resist_v their_o superior_n or_o governor_n in_o any_o case_n f._n i_o grant_v indeed_o that_o no_o
