babylon_n be_v destroy_v with_o a_o perpetual_a destruction_n when_o the_o seventy_o year_n be_v accomplish_v so_o will_v this_o babylon_n aforesaid_a be_v destroy_v with_o a_o eternal_a destruction_n when_o the_o time_n appoint_v of_o god_n be_v accomplish_v and_o as_o the_o jew_n nation_n be_v under_o babylon_n yoke_n so_o be_v the_o saint_n in_o the_o primitive_a time_n or_o in_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o gospel_n under_o the_o yoke_n of_o persecution_n of_o this_o spiritual_a babylon_n and_o this_o spiritual_a babylon_n who_o make_v all_o nation_n drink_v with_o spiritual_a fornication_n in_o worship_v of_o idol_n and_o image_n as_o aforesaid_a be_v that_o great_a city_n babylon_n be_v call_v a_o great_a city_n because_o she_o make_v all_o nation_n to_o become_v idolatrous_a for_o when_o a_o man_n do_v bow_v down_o and_o submit_v to_o worship_v any_o idol_n image_n or_o form_n of_o worship_n that_o be_v false_a it_o not_o be_v set_v up_o by_o command_n from_o god_n he_o may_v be_v say_v to_o drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o spiritual_a fornication_n more_o may_v be_v say_v of_o this_o thing_n but_o i_o shall_v have_v occasion_n to_o speak_v of_o it_o hereafter_o only_o this_o be_v to_o be_v mind_v here_o that_o the_o saint_n in_o all_o this_o time_n of_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o apostle_n do_v not_o drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o fornication_n that_o be_v they_o be_v not_o pollute_v with_o worship_v of_o idol_n and_o image_n or_o any_o false_a worship_n but_o do_v cleave_v close_o to_o the_o faith_n and_o worship_n of_o jesus_n i_o mean_v thing_n from_o the_o worship_n of_o the_o whore_n of_o babylon_n even_o as_o the_o worship_n of_o the_o jew_n do_v differ_v from_o that_o great_a city_n the_o whore_n of_o that_o babylon_n as_o aforesaid_a this_o be_v the_o true_a interpretation_n of_o the_o great_a city_n the_o spiritual_a babylon_n who_o make_v all_o nation_n drink_v of_o the_o wine_n of_o the_o wrath_n of_o her_o fornication_n as_o you_o may_v see_v in_o the_o nine_o verse_n and_o the_o three_o angel_n follow_v they_o say_v with_o a_o loud_a voice_n if_o any_o man_n worship_v his_o image_n and_o receive_v the_o mark_n in_o his_o forehead_n or_o in_o his_o hand_n in_o the_o ten_o verse_n the_o same_o shall_v drink_v of_o the_o wine_n of_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n etc._n etc._n so_o that_o none_o of_o worship_n which_o be_v set_v up_o by_o this_o great_a city_n the_o spiritual_a whore_n of_o babylon_n who_o torment_n be_v express_v in_o the_o verse_n follow_v both_o she_o and_o all_o those_o that_o drink_v of_o her_o cup_n of_o fornication_n and_o receive_v the_o mark_n but_o i_o shall_v pass_v by_o those_o verse_n which_o speak_v of_o that_o there_o be_v more_o saying_n hereafter_o that_o death_n and_o redeem_v his_o people_n and_o so_o john_n call_v he_o the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o as_o he_o be_v a_o son_n and_o suffer_v death_n but_o be_v now_o alive_a for_o evermore_o amen_n yet_o all_o but_o one_o god_n even_o the_o the_o man_n christ_n jesus_n who_o be_v that_o alpha_n and_o omega_n the_o beginning_n and_o the_o end_n the_o first_o and_o the_o last_o he_o who_o be_v dead_a and_o be_v alive_a and_o behold_v he_o be_v alive_a for_o evermore_o and_o no_o other_o god_n have_v the_o key_n of_o hell_n and_o of_o death_n but_o christ_n only_o which_o he_o have_v the_o 19_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n john_n be_v command_v to_o write_v the_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v see_v and_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v and_o the_o thing_n which_o shall_v be_v hereafter_o to_o who_o he_o be_v to_o write_v it_o be_v to_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n and_o in_o the_o 20_o verse_n which_o be_v the_o last_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n he_o interpret_v what_o the_o seven_o star_n which_o he_o see_v in_o christ_n right_a right_a hand_n be_v and_o what_o the_o seven_o golden_a candlestcik_n be_v therefore_o i_o shall_v say_v no_o more_o of_o it_o here_o and_o as_o for_o what_o john_n do_v write_v to_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n it_o be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o two_o chapter_n follow_v those_o two_o chapter_n treat_v only_o upon_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n and_o the_o chief_a thing_n in_o those_o two_o chapter_n i_o have_v interpret_v already_o and_o the_o chief_a thing_n which_o be_v of_o most_o concernment_n in_o the_o first_o chapter_n i_o have_v also_o interpret_v therefore_o i_o shall_v go_v to_o the_o four_o chapter_n but_o i_o suppose_v it_o will_v be_v necessary_a to_o the_o reader_n for_o i_o to_o show_v what_o a_o resemblance_n and_o likeness_n there_o be_v between_o the_o seven_o church_n now_o in_o europe_n in_o these_o our_o day_n and_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n and_o how_o the_o angel_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n which_o be_v the_o minister_n or_o speaker_n do_v agree_v with_o the_o seven_o angel_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n i_o have_v speak_v something_o of_o they_o in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o 11_o of_o the_o revelation_n but_o i_o shall_v speak_v a_o little_a more_o of_o they_o here_o because_o it_o be_v something_o necessary_a to_o inform_v the_o reader_n therefore_o mind_n the_o distinction_n between_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o we_o read_v that_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o asia_n have_v seven_o several_a name_n as_o may_v be_v read_v and_o according_a to_o their_o good_a practice_n and_o their_o bad_a they_o be_v either_o reprove_v or_o commend_v as_o i_o have_v show_v before_o so_o likewise_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o europe_n may_v be_v call_v seven_o angel_n
if_o the_o minister_n and_o speaker_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o europe_n be_v all_o false_a for_o want_v of_o a_o commission_n from_o god_n what_o will_v become_v of_o all_o the_o people_n which_o be_v congregat_v and_o join_v to_o their_o several_a ministery_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v that_o there_o be_v a_o remnant_n of_o the_o elect_a seed_n in_o every_o one_o of_o these_o seven_o church_n of_o europe_n that_o will_v be_v save_v because_o the_o election_n of_o god_n stand_v sure_a but_o this_o i_o must_v tell_v you_o that_o there_o be_v no_o man_n or_o woman_n that_o be_v congregrate_v or_o join_v to_o any_o of_o these_o seven_o church_n that_o can_v have_v the_o assurance_n of_o eternal_a life_n abide_v in_o they_o while_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n for_o how_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o the_o sheep_n shall_v know_v their_o eternal_a happiness_n when_o as_o the_o shepherd_n do_v not_o know_v their_o own_o salvation_n no_o not_o one_o of_o they_o therefore_o according_a to_o my_o revelation_n and_o faith_n i_o can_v see_v by_o the_o rule_n of_o scripture_n that_o any_o of_o the_o minister_n or_o speaker_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n of_o europe_n now_o adays_o that_o can_v be_v save_v though_o some_o of_o their_o member_n may_v this_o may_v and_o will_v be_v think_v a_o hard_a say_n of_o i_o but_o i_o can_v help_v it_o neither_o do_v i_o speak_v it_o out_o of_o any_o ill_a will_n to_o minister_n or_o speaker_n but_o can_v rather_o be_v find_v a_o liar_n in_o this_o point_n but_o i_o be_v commissionated_a of_o god_n and_o find_v the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n of_o old_a to_o speak_v so_o much_o against_o those_o which_o take_v upon_o they_o to_o be_v messenger_n minister_n ambassador_n and_o preacher_n of_o the_o everlasting_a gospel_n without_o a_o commission_n from_o christ_n they_o be_v more_o guilty_a of_o spiritual_a high_a treason_n than_o any_o other_o man_n so_o according_a to_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n and_o my_o faith_n i_o can_v see_v how_o any_o counterfeit_a minister_n of_o what_o church_n soever_o shall_v be_v save_v in_o the_o day_n of_o account_n for_o if_o it_o be_v such_o a_o dangerous_a thing_n to_o be_v a_o false_a prophet_n or_o a_o false_a christ_n why_o shall_v it_o not_o be_v as_o dangerous_a a_o thing_n to_o be_v a_o false_a minister_n to_o go_v before_o he_o be_v send_v and_o let_v minister_n take_v this_o by_o the_o way_n and_o though_o the_o civil_a power_n do_v uphold_v and_o maintain_v they_o yet_o when_o they_o die_v god_n will_v not_o uphold_v they_o in_o it_o neither_o will_v their_o conscience_n justify_v they_o in_o it_o but_o you_o must_v lay_v down_o your_o life_n under_o the_o fear_n of_o eternal_a death_n because_o you_o go_v to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n and_o be_v not_o send_v of_o christ_n likewise_o you_o see_v that_o false_a christ_n and_o false_a prophet_n have_v be_v punish_v in_o all_o age_n by_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n and_o the_o priest_n together_o and_o so_o they_o serve_v the_o true_a christ_n and_o the_o true_a prophet_n all_o of_o they_o be_v persecute_v as_o false_a but_o it_o be_v seldom_o know_v that_o a_o minister_n be_v persecute_v as_o he_o be_v a_o minister_n not_o by_o the_o magistrate_n but_o for_o some_o other_o misdemeanour_n or_o for_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o civil_a power_n but_o not_o for_o his_o preach_n without_o a_o commission_n from_o cod._n therefore_o his_o punishment_n will_v be_v no_o less_o than_o eternal_a damnation_n i_o speak_v this_o not_o only_o to_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o nation_n but_o to_o the_o ministry_n of_o all_o the_o seven_o church_n now_o in_o europe_n for_o they_o do_v all_o of_o they_o preach_v without_o a_o commission_n from_o god_n and_o run_v into_o the_o ministry_n before_o they_o be_v send_v which_o will_v be_v count_v by_o the_o lord_n jesus_n but_o a_o work_n of_o iniquity_n and_o what_o will_v be_v the_o wage_n of_o such_o a_o work_n but_o eternal_a damnation_n i_o know_v i_o shall_v offend_v the_o minister_n and_o speaker_n of_o all_o the_o seven_o church_n aforesaid_a but_o see_v they_o be_v all_o false_a they_o may_v bear_v the_o better_a with_o i_o and_o with_o one_o another_o for_o they_o will_v have_v wage_n all_o alike_o for_o as_o i_o say_v before_o according_a to_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n record_v in_o the_o scripture_n and_o according_a to_o the_o faith_n which_o i_o have_v in_o the_o scripture_n there_o will_v be_v no_o salvation_n find_v for_o none_o of_o the_o minister_n and_o speaker_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n aforesaid_a except_o any_o of_o they_o be_v persuade_v in_o their_o own_o mind_n to_o lay_v it_o down_o before_o they_o die_v and_o so_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o true_a god_n for_o this_o i_o do_v affirm_v that_o no_o man_n so_o long_o as_o he_o do_v exercise_v the_o office_n of_o a_o minister_n without_o a_o commission_n from_o god_n he_o can_v be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o salvation_n then_o of_o necessity_n he_o must_v be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o condemnation_n and_o this_o will_v be_v the_o condition_n of_o all_o the_o minister_n and_o speaker_n of_o the_o seven_o church_n aforesaid_a and_o the_o quaker_n ministry_n be_v the_o seven_o and_o last_o anti-angel_n that_o will_v sound_v until_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n and_o when_o the_o voice_n of_o this_o angel_n do_v begin_v to_o sound_v the_o mystery_n of_o god_n be_v finish_v as_o he_o have_v declare_v by_o his_o servant_n the_o prophet_n that_o be_v the_o declaration_n of_o the_o mystery_n of_o god_n be_v and_o will_v be_v finish_v in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o seven_o angel_n which_o voice_n be_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o quaker_n as_o i_o have_v open_v in_o the_o interpretation_n of_o the_o eleven_o of_o the_o revelation_n therefore_o i_o shall_v say_v no_o more_o of_o those_o seven_o church_n now_o that_o be_v the_o pure_a angel_n of_o all_o the_o seven_o in_o respect_n of_o righteousness_n of_o life_n though_o the_o worst_a of_o all_o in_o point_n of_o doctrine_n and_o the_o quaker_n ministry_n do_v deceive_v more_o than_o any_o of_o the_o other_o six_o for_o they_o be_v so_o angel-and_a godlike_a that_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a will_v deceive_v the_o very_a elect_a for_o every_o one_o that_o have_v but_o one_o eye_n that_o be_v the_o eye_n of_o reason_n may_v see_v that_o all_o the_o other_o church_n have_v such_o a_o deal_n of_o corruption_n superstition_n unjustness_n idolatry_n and_o many_o other_o wickedness_n which_o reason_n itself_o do_v judge_v can_v be_v the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o that_o be_v the_o very_a cause_n that_o when_o people_n have_v be_v unsatisfied_a in_o the_o way_n of_o worship_n in_o the_o other_o church_n they_o have_v decline_v from_o they_o and_o have_v turn_v quaker_n they_o be_v more_o pure_a in_o life_n for_o pureness_n of_o life_n give_v more_o peace_n to_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n then_o wickedness_n do_v for_o every_o action_n have_v a_o reward_n in_o itself_o whether_o it_o be_v good_a or_o bad_a for_o he_o that_o do_v suffer_v persecution_n for_o his_o conscience_n be_v more_o to_o be_v justify_v than_o he_o which_o persecute_v for_o conscience_n sake_n yet_o nevertheless_o the_o reward_n of_o eternal_a life_n it_o belong_v only_o unto_o the_o act_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o true_a god_n which_o the_o quaker_n ministry_n do_v not_o teach_v notwithstanding_o their_o purity_n of_o life_n etc._n etc._n chap._n viii_o now_o i_o have_v open_v something_o what_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o seven_o church_n and_o the_o angel_n sound_v in_o the_o next_o place_n i_o shall_v come_v to_o open_v or_o interpret_v some_o chief_a say_n in_o the_o 4_o chapter_n of_o john_n revelation_n in_o the_o first_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n john_n look_v and_o behold_v a_o door_n be_v open_v in_o heaven_n and_o the_o first_o voice_n which_o he_o hear_v understand_v that_o john_n see_v these_o great_a and_o glorious_a thing_n by_o way_n of_o vision_n now_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o understand_v that_o vision_n be_v hard_a to_o be_v interpret_v by_o one_o that_o never_o see_v they_o yet_o as_o far_o as_o the_o revelation_n of_o faith_n can_v open_v they_o i_o shall_v do_v it_o which_o i_o know_v be_v more_o than_o any_o man_n in_o the_o world_n can_v
prophet_n elijah_n for_o the_o worshipper_n of_o baal_n be_v so_o numerous_a that_o elijah_n think_v there_o be_v none_o but_o himself_o that_o do_v worship_v the_o god_n of_o jacob._n but_o there_o be_v seven_o thousand_o that_o have_v not_o bow_v their_o knee_n to_o baal_n and_o these_o be_v the_o oil_n and_o the_o wine_n that_o shall_v not_o be_v hurt_v by_o compel_v of_o they_o to_o hurt_v their_o conscience_n by_o worship_v a_o false_a god_n as_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o people_n do_v through_o the_o darkness_n of_o their_o mind_n they_o be_v the_o black_a horse_n for_o the_o ignorant_a dark_a power_n of_o the_o head-magistrate_n to_o ride_v or_o sit_v upon_o for_o as_o the_o horse_n be_v black_a so_o be_v the_o rider_n with_o ignorance_n and_o darkness_n in_o spiritual_a worship_n only_o he_o that_o sit_v upon_o the_o black_a horse_n be_v the_o dark_a power_n of_o reason_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n call_v it_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n for_o it_o be_v the_o dark_a reason_n of_o man_n that_o do_v act_v deed_n of_o darkness_n therefore_o call_v the_o power_n of_o darkness_n and_o the_o deed_n of_o spiritual_a darkness_n in_o point_n of_o worship_n be_v call_v by_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n he_o that_o sit_v upon_o the_o black_a horse_n because_o he_o command_v all_o people_n to_o worship_v his_o imaginary_a god_n and_o the_o people_n through_o the_o darkness_n of_o their_o understanding_n they_o do_v obey_v and_o so_o they_o become_v in_o point_n of_o spiritual_a worship_n a_o black_a horse_n for_o the_o dark_a power_n of_o reason_n to_o and_o see_v and_o in_o the_o 8_o verse_n john_n look_v and_o behold_v a_o pale_a horse_n and_o his_o name_n that_o sit_v on_o he_o be_v death_n and_o hell_n follow_v with_o he_o and_o power_n be_v give_v unto_o they_o over_o the_o four_o part_n of_o the_o earth_n to_o kill_v with_o sword_n and_o with_o hunger_n and_o with_o death_n and_o with_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o earth_n i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o mind_v the_o interpretation_n of_o this_o pale_a horse_n because_o everyone_o of_o we_o must_v be_v a_o pale_a horse_n for_o death_n to_o sit_v upon_o except_o we_o be_v swallow_v to_o give_v you_o the_o meaning_n what_o this_o pale_a horse_n be_v it_o be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o sinful_a soul_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n therefore_o as_o the_o scripture_n say_v when_o sin_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n than_o death_n enter_v in_o upon_o it_o so_o that_o as_o soon_o as_o ever_o the_o soul_n of_o adam_n and_o eve_n have_v let_v sin_n enter_v into_o their_o soul_n then_o death_n enter_v for_o death_n do_v ride_v upon_o sin_n and_o sin_n do_v ride_v upon_o the_o soul_n of_o we_o first_o parent_n according_a to_o that_o say_n of_o god_n in_o the_o day_n that_o thou_o eat_v thereof_o mean_v the_o forbid_a fruit_n thou_o shall_v die_v the_o death_n so_o that_o as_o soon_o as_o sin_v enter_v into_o their_o soul_n death_n enter_v also_o so_o that_o the_o soul_n of_o adam_n and_o eve_n become_v as_o a_o pale_a horse_n for_o death_n to_o ride_v upon_o for_o there_o be_v not_o only_o the_o fear_n of_o this_o first_o death_n but_o the_o fear_n of_o eternal_a death_n also_o which_o make_v the_o soul_n of_o adam_n to_o fear_v therefore_o he_o go_v to_o hide_v himself_o for_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n will_v make_v the_o soul_n to_o look_v pale_a so_o that_o it_o will_v become_v a_o pale_a horse_n for_o death_n to_o ride_v upon_o for_o by_o sin_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n death_n get_v power_n over_o all_o life_n so_o that_o death_n sit_v upon_o all_o life_n both_o upon_o man_n and_o beast_n for_o the_o beast_n be_v make_v subject_a to_o death_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o fall_n of_o man_n only_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o understand_v this_o secret_a that_o the_o creature_n the_o beast_n be_v create_v of_o god_n on_o purpose_n to_o be_v kill_v for_o the_o nourishment_n of_o man_n but_o if_o sin_n have_v never_o be_v commit_v by_o man_n death_n will_v never_o have_v enter_v upon_o the_o life_n of_o man_n nor_o beast_n that_o be_v no_o beast_n will_v have_v die_v natural_o as_o they_o do_v now_o but_o what_o be_v kill_v on_o purpose_n for_o some_o use_n so_o that_o no_o man_n will_v have_v have_v such_o lose_a as_o some_o man_n now_o have_v some_o be_v undo_v by_o the_o die_a of_o horse_n other_o by_o cow_n and_o other_o by_o sheep_n and_o this_o be_v death_n that_o have_v enter_v into_o the_o world_n upon_o the_o beast_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o adam_n bring_v death_n upon_o all_o his_o posterity_n and_o upon_o the_o beast_n also_o as_o aforesaid_a so_o that_o the_o life_n of_o man_n and_o beast_n be_v become_v a_o pale_a horse_n for_o death_n to_o sit_v upon_o and_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n in_o adam_n do_v make_v his_o soul_n to_o look_v pale_a and_o so_o it_o do_v in_o all_o mankind_n the_o fear_n of_o death_n it_o make_v the_o stout_a heart_n to_o look_v pale_a especial_o when_o the_o fear_n of_o eternal_a death_n be_v not_o take_v away_o as_o very_o few_o man_n in_o the_o world_n have_v the_o fear_n of_o the_o second_o death_n take_v from_o they_o so_o that_o their_o soul_n look_v pale_a indeed_o so_o that_o the_o generality_n of_o man_n and_o woman_n have_v the_o fear_n of_o eternal_a death_n that_o sit_v upon_o their_o soul_n so_o that_o they_o be_v that_o pale_a horse_n that_o death_n ride_v upon_o and_o hell_n follow_v immediate_o after_o the_o first_o death_n the_o second_o death_n and_o hell_n go_v both_o together_o hand_n in_o hand_n these_o thing_n i_o say_v will_v make_v any_o soul_n to_o look_v pale_a this_o i_o can_v experience_n both_o by_o myself_o and_o other_o before_o i_o come_v to_o know_v the_o true_a way_n of_o redemption_n and_o because_o you_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n may_v know_v that_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n be_v that_o pale_a horse_n that_o death_n sit_v upon_o which_o sin_n do_v cause_n to_o enter_v upon_o all_o life_n i_o say_v this_o death_n it_o enter_v upon_o the_o life_n of_o god_n himself_o so_o that_o god_n die_v unto_o sin_n that_o be_v to_o satisfy_v sin_n that_o sin_n which_o bring_v death_n with_o it_o may_v enter_v upon_o the_o life_n of_o god_n and_o kill_v that_o life_n in_o god_n for_o a_o moment_n but_o the_o life_n of_o god_n be_v more_o strong_a than_o death_n it_o pierce_v through_o the_o body_n of_o that_o body_n of_o man_n he_o come_v to_o rout_n and_o scatter_v they_o and_o get_v the_o victory_n over_o they_o so_o be_v it_o with_o christ_n the_o only_a god_n he_o lay_v down_o his_o godhead_n life_n it_o be_v in_o the_o manhood_n unto_o death_n he_o pass_v through_o death_n and_o kill_v that_o which_o do_v kill_v he_o to_o wit_n sin_n death_n and_o hell_n these_o be_v mighty_a strong_a have_v faith_n may_v see_v what_o this_o pale_a horse_n be_v john_n speak_v of_o and_o what_o death_n be_v that_o sit_v upon_o the_o pale_a horse_n and_o what_o power_n they_o have_v give_v unto_o they_o over_o the_o four_o part_n of_o the_o earth_n even_o to_o kill_v with_o the_o sword_n and_o with_o hunger_n and_o with_o death_n and_o with_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o earth_n the_o pale_a horse_n and_o death_n have_v power_n give_v they_o over_o all_o life_n in_o the_o four_o
part_n of_o the_o earth_n so_o that_o some_o be_v so_o affright_v at_o death_n they_o shall_v kill_v with_o the_o sword_n and_o other_o again_o shall_v be_v so_o fearful_a of_o death_n that_o they_o shall_v starve_v themselves_o for_o hunger_n other_o again_o shall_v come_v under_o death_n by_o natural_a disease_n even_o as_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o earth_n die_v so_o that_o death_n that_o ride_v upon_o the_o pale_a horse_n have_v power_n give_v as_o long_o as_o this_o world_n do_v last_o over_o all_o flesh_n that_o have_v life_n for_o it_o be_v life_n that_o must_v die_v and_o death_n must_v take_v it_o into_o his_o custody_n and_o swallow_v up_o life_n into_o the_o belly_n of_o death_n else_o he_o can_v be_v call_v death_n except_o death_n do_v utter_o annihilate_v life_n it_o can_v proper_o be_v call_v death_n for_o while_o life_n be_v in_o be_v death_n be_v utter_o annihilate_v in_o life_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o be_v for_o death_n at_o all_o not_o in_o that_o man_n body_n but_o when_o death_n enter_v into_o that_o man_n blood_n who_o be_v so_o full_a of_o life_n before_o then_o death_n grow_v more_o and_o more_o in_o the_o blood_n and_o eat_v up_o the_o life_n quite_o into_o death_n so_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o to_o be_v see_v in_o all_o that_o life_n but_o a_o dead_a body_n for_o death_n have_v get_v the_o life_n of_o that_o body_n in_o the_o body_n for_o the_o body_n be_v life_n before_o as_o well_o as_o the_o soul_n but_o death_n have_v overcome_v they_o both_o they_o be_v both_o swallow_v up_o of_o death_n so_o that_o you_o may_v see_v death_n as_o he_o be_v as_o you_o do_v see_v life_n as_o he_o be_v before_o and_o not_o that_o the_o life_n go_v out_o of_o the_o body_n as_o man_n do_v vain_o imagine_v so_o that_o death_n be_v he_o that_o ride_v upon_o the_o pale_a horse_n as_o i_o show_v before_o and_o these_o four_o horse_n as_o john_n speak_v of_o in_o his_o vision_n be_v the_o same_o horse_n as_o zechariah_n speak_v of_o in_o his_o vision_n zechariah_n the_o 6_o and_o the_o 3_o verse_n the_o prophet_n see_v in_o his_o vision_n four_o charret_n and_o horse_n the_o first_o chariot_n have_v red_a horse_n and_o the_o second_o have_v black_a horse_n and_o the_o three_o have_v white_a horse_n and_o the_o four_o have_v grizzle_v and_o bay_a horse_n now_o the_o prophet_n express_v in_o his_o vision_n the_o horse_n in_o the_o plural_a number_n to_o be_v more_o horse_n than_o one_o of_o a_o sort_n but_o john_n declare_v they_o in_o his_o vision_n in_o the_o singular_a number_n therefore_o though_o there_o be_v more_o express_v by_o the_o prophet_n yet_o the_o matter_n and_o substance_n be_v all_o one_o for_o all_o horse_n be_v comprise_v under_o those_o four_o so_o that_o there_o need_v no_o further_o open_v of_o the_o horse_n than_o there_o have_v be_v for_o there_o be_v enough_o say_v concern_v those_o four_o horse_n and_o their_o rider_n to_o satisfy_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n but_o if_o one_o shall_v speak_v never_o so_o much_o the_o seed_n of_o reason_n will_v not_o be_v satisfy_v only_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n not_o to_o scruple_n because_o the_o prophet_n call_v the_o four_o horse_n grizzle_v and_o bay_a when_o as_o john_n call_v it_o a_o pale_a horse_n for_o grizzle_v do_v signify_v death_n sit_v upon_o the_o life_n as_o paleness_n do_v so_o that_o the_o thing_n be_v all_o one_o though_o differ_v something_o in_o word_n so_o that_o there_o need_v be_v no_o further_a interpretation_n upon_o those_o four_o horse_n therefore_o i_o shall_v pass_v by_o they_o and_o come_v to_o the_o next_o thing_n of_o concernment_n chap._n xix_o in_o the_o 9_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n at_o the_o open_n of_o the_o five_o seal_n john_n see_v in_o the_o vision_n the_o soul_n of_o they_o that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o for_o the_o testimony_n which_o they_o hold_v now_o i_o will_v have_v the_o reader_n to_o consider_v that_o vision_n do_v many_o time_n present_a to_o he_o that_o see_v it_o thing_n that_o be_v at_o a_o distance_n and_o far_o off_o as_o at_o present_a or_o near_o at_o hand_n as_o if_o the_o thing_n be_v in_o present_a be_v this_o have_v be_v the_o usual_a custom_n of_o those_o that_o write_v those_o vision_n in_o the_o scripture_n they_o be_v present_v to_o the_o choose_a prophet_n and_o messenger_n of_o the_o most_o high_a god_n those_o vision_n so_o present_v be_v to_o signify_v either_o some_o extraordinary_a happiness_n and_o deliverance_n to_o a_o particular_a person_n or_o people_n or_o nation_n or_o else_o some_o great_a judgement_n and_o destruction_n to_o a_o person_n people_n or_o nation_n in_o the_o temporal_a as_o aforesaid_a or_o else_o vision_n be_v present_v to_o the_o understanding_n of_o man_n to_o signify_v spiritual_a and_o eternal_a blessing_n to_o a_o number_n of_o people_n or_o else_o to_o signify_v spiritual_a and_o eternal_a misery_n unto_o a_o number_n of_o people_n so_o that_o what_o vision_n be_v declare_v by_o choose_a man_n of_o god_n though_o the_o thing_n be_v not_o immediate_o at_o hand_n whether_o the_o vision_n do_v signify_v temporal_a or_o spiritual_a thing_n yet_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n do_v look_v upon_o it_o as_o if_o it_o be_v in_o present_a be_v because_o they_o believe_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o thing_n as_o those_o prophet_n of_o old_a do_v prophesy_v of_o christ_n come_v in_o the_o flesh_n as_o isaiah_n say_v in_o the_o 9_o chapter_n to_o we_o a_o child_n be_v bear_v and_o to_o we_o a_o son_n be_v give_v meaning_n christ_n etc._n etc._n now_o the_o prophet_n say_v he_o be_v bear_v when_o as_o he_o be_v not_o borâ—_n many_o hundred_o year_n after_o that_o and_o so_o other_o of_o the_o prophet_n look_v upon_o the_o birth_n of_o christ_n the_o redeemer_n as_o in_o present_a be_v for_o as_o i_o have_v say_v in_o my_o other_o write_n that_o faith_n do_v look_v at_o thing_n afar_o off_o and_o at_o a_o distance_n as_o near_o at_o hand_n and_o in_o present_a be_v but_o because_o the_o seed_n of_o reason_n can_v do_v so_o therefore_o they_o do_v not_o prevent_v neither_o the_o temporal_a nor_o the_o eternal_a judgement_n that_o will_v come_v so_o that_o his_o blood_n will_v be_v upon_o they_o and_o their_o child_n for_o these_o be_v their_o child_n and_o may_v be_v call_v so_o who_o be_v the_o seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n who_o walk_v in_o the_o way_n of_o their_o father_n who_o do_v kill_v the_o lord_n of_o life_n and_o so_o his_o blood_n will_v be_v upon_o they_o and_o their_o child_n as_o they_o do_v desire_v so_o that_o his_o blood_n do_v cry_v as_o the_o blood_n of_o abel_n do_v for_o eternal_a vengeance_n for_o none_o will_v shed_v blood_n upon_o that_o account_n but_o the_o serpent_n or_o devil_n and_o those_o that_o be_v his_o child_n so_o that_o you_o who_o understanding_n be_v enlighten_v may_v see_v that_o there_o be_v a_o virtue_n and_o power_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o prophet_n apostle_n and_o righteous_a verse_n those_o that_o be_v slay_v under_o the_o altar_n for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o testimony_n they_o hold_v they_o have_v white_a robe_n give_v unto_o every_o one_o of_o they_o and_o it_o be_v say_v to_o they_o rest_v yet_o for_o a_o little_a season_n until_o their_o fellow_n servant_n also_o and_o their_o brethren_n that_o shall_v be_v kill_v as_o they_o be_v shall_v be_v which_o cry_v for_o vengeance_n must_o still_o in_o the_o earth_n and_o rest_n a_o season_n until_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n have_v pass_v from_o death_n as_o you_o have_v so_o that_o god_n may_v raise_v you_o all_o together_o and_o clothe_v you_o all_o with_o white_a robe_n of_o righteousness_n and_o immortality_n and_o glory_n at_o the_o resurrection_n at_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n so_o that_o you_o may_v all_o be_v reward_v and_o clothe_v with_o white_a robe_n together_o and_o not_o some_o serve_v this_o year_n and_o other_o some_o the_o next_o but_o you_o shall_v all_o be_v happy_a together_o so_o that_o you_o must_v rest_v yet_o a_o little_a season_n until_o all_o thing_n be_v accomplish_v and_o then_o i_o will_v bless_v you_o with_o a_o everlasting_a white_a robe_n with_o they_o and_o you_o will_v not_o think_v it_o long_o for_o faith_n do_v look_v upon_o eternity_n as_o real_a as_o if_o it_o be_v in_o present_a be_v so_o that_o john_n may_v say_v seven_o head_n with_o himself_o and_o as_o for_o the_o ten_o horn_n they_o be_v all_o one_o for_o they_o be_v both_o blasphemer_n and_o idolater_n and_o do_v worship_n idol_n and_o image_n and_o persecute_v the_o seed_n of_o the_o woman_n and_o make_v war_n with_o the_o saint_n and_o all_o the_o victory_n the_o saint_n do_v obtain_v against_o the_o dragon_n the_o beast_n and_o their_o image_n it_o be_v by_o faith_n and_o patience_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lamb_n enable_v they_o to_o suffer_v with_o patience_n those_o ten_o persecution_n which_o those_o ten_o horn_n do_v push_v the_o hundred_o year_n from_o the_o birth_n of_o christ_n for_o after_o his_o birth_n there_o be_v true_a faith_n on_o the_o earth_n for_o when_o the_o son_n of_o man_n as_o he_o call_v himself_o do_v come_v in_o the_o flesh_n upon_o earth_n be_v there_o any_o faith_n upon_o earth_n sure_o no._n if_o there_o have_v be_v faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n they_o will_v never_o have_v seek_v to_o have_v to_o israel_n moses_n be_v the_o first_o man_n which_o god_n choose_v and_o give_v a_o commission_n to_o write_v scripture_n i_o say_v be_v there_o any_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n at_o the_o after_o his_o appear_v there_o be_v much_o true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n as_o may_v be_v read_v concern_v christ_n himself_o that_o many_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o a_o great_a number_n of_o people_n believe_v on_o his_o apostle_n more_o than_o do_v on_o himself_o so_o that_o there_o be_v great_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n in_o the_o time_n of_o god_n appear_v in_o his_o commission_n of_o the_o blood_n but_o before_o or_o at_o the_o first_o appear_v there_o be_v very_o little_a or_o no_o faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n so_o likewise_o at_o god_n three_o appear_v in_o his_o commission_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v there_o any_o true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n sure_o no._n this_o i_o know_v by_o experience_n that_o there_o be_v no_o true_a faith_n on_o the_o earth_n but_o since_o god_n have_v appear_v in_o the_o commission_n of_o the_o spirit_n there_o be_v true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n more_o than_o have_v be_v this_o thirteen_o hundred_o and_o fifty_o year_n so_o that_o at_o the_o appear_v of_o god_n in_o his_o three_o commission_n there_o be_v very_o little_a or_o no_o true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n i_o mean_v at_o their_o first_o appear_v but_o after_o their_o appear_v there_o be_v true_a faith_n upon_o the_o earth_n and_o that_o more_o abundant_a then_o at_o any_o other_o time_n for_o that_o faith_n which_o be_v between_o commission_n it_o be_v but_o a_o traditional_a faith_n and_o not_o a_o save_a and_o justify_v faith_n i_o only_o give_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n this_o birâ—_n that_o they_o may_v distinguish_v and_o know_v the_o and_o persecution_n of_o the_o saint_n as_o the_o dragon_n do_v so_o that_o he_o be_v of_o the_o same_o spirit_n and_o practice_n as_o the_o dragon_n be_v it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o he_o receive_v the_o dragon_n seat_n power_n and_o authority_n he_o be_v the_o first_o head_n that_o succeed_v the_o dragon_n for_o this_o i_o will_v have_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n to_o know_v that_o this_o spirit_n of_o the_o dragon_n it_o go_v through_o the_o seed_n of_o all_o those_o seven_o head_n and_o all_o that_o persecution_n that_o be_v act_v in_o that_o three_o hundred_o year_n in_o the_o god_n and_o persecute_v his_o saint_n for_o as_o all_o good_a king_n be_v include_v but_o into_o four_o good_a beast_n as_o i_o say_v before_o so_o likewise_o all_o wicked_a persecute_v king_n be_v include_v in_o those_o seven_o head_n or_o seven_o wicked_a beast_n they_o be_v of_o the_o same_o seed_n and_o nature_n as_o the_o dragon_n be_v and_o walk_v in_o the_o same_o step_n of_o idolatry_n blasphemy_n and_o persecution_n as_o he_o do_v they_o may_v be_v say_v all_o of_o they_o to_o receive_v the_o seat_n power_n and_o authority_n of_o the_o dragon_n which_o be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o spirit_n of_o reason_n who_o original_a be_v from_o the_o fall_a angel_n though_o call_v a_o dragon_n a_o serpent_n a_o devil_n the_o seed_n of_o reason_n be_v all_o this_o and_o more_o but_o little_o do_v man_n think_v that_o the_o spirit_n of_o reason_n in_o every_o man_n poor_a and_o rich_a bond_n or_o free_a high_a or_o low_o king_n or_o people_n be_v the_o devil_n serpent_n and_o dragon_n for_o many_o poor_a man_n have_v the_o spirit_n of_o the_o dragon_n in_o they_o only_o they_o have_v not_o power_n to_o execute_v it_o upon_o the_o saint_n nor_o his_o fellow-creature_n therefore_o when_o the_o spirit_n do_v call_v a_o man_n a_o dragon_n or_o a_o beast_n it_o be_v with_o relation_n to_o that_o power_n that_o be_v invest_v upon_o or_o in_o a_o king_n or_o head-magistrate_n so_o that_o he_o be_v the_o head_n or_o chief_a above_o all_o other_o he_o have_v power_n and_o authority_n to_o do_v good_a or_o hurt_n and_o according_a as_o his_o authority_n and_o power_n do_v act_v patience_n they_o be_v call_v by_o the_o spirit_n king_n of_o the_o east_n so_o that_o christ_n his_o prophet_n apostle_n and_o saint_n be_v those_o king_n of_o the_o east_n who_o have_v the_o aforesaid_a water_n dry_v up_o that_o the_o way_n for_o these_o king_n of_o the_o east_n may_v be_v prepare_v that_o be_v there_o be_v no_o natural_a river_n upon_o earth_n that_o shall_v hinder_v or_o keep_v from_o be_v dry_v up_o neither_o temporal_a nor_o spiritual_a for_o the_o vial_n of_o god_n wrath_n it_o will_v dry_v up_o all_o the_o river_n of_o water_n upon_o earth_n natural_a and_o all_o river_n of_o water_n spiritual_a when_o christ_n shall_v come_v in_o the_o cloud_n of_o heaven_n with_o all_o his_o saint_n the_o king_n of_o the_o east_n to_o put_v a_o end_n to_o this_o bloody_a persecute_v unbelieve_a world_n and_o to_o dry_v up_o all_o the_o water_n of_o peace_n in_o man_n soul_n and_o the_o king_n of_o the_o east_n by_o their_o faith_n and_o patience_n shall_v walk_v upon_o the_o water_n of_o wicked_a persecute_v man_n soul_n as_o upon_o dry_a ground_n that_o be_v the_o king_n of_o the_o east_n shall_v rejoice_v in_o the_o eternal_a destruction_n of_o dragon_n beast_n and_o false_a prophet_n they_o by_o their_o council_n power_n and_o authority_n do_v invite_v all_o the_o king_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o of_o the_o whole_a world_n to_o fight_v against_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o the_o remnant_n of_o the_o seed_n of_o faith_n who_o be_v the_o saint_n with_o persecution_n and_o death_n as_o aforesaid_a with_o carnal_a weapon_n and_o invention_n of_o cruel_a death_n as_o the_o scripture_n and_o history_n do_v make_v mention_n of_o but_o the_o revelation_n of_o john_n give_v he_o to_o see_v that_o the_o last_o battle_n that_o will_v be_v fight_v between_o god_n almighty_a and_o the_o dragon_n beast_n and_o false_a prophet_n it_o will_v be_v at_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n that_o be_v jesus_n christ_n he_o be_v god_n almighty_a he_o and_o his_o saint_n and_o angel_n shall_v fight_v with_o the_o dragon_n beast_n and_o false_a prophet_n and_o with_o all_o the_o king_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n and_o he_o and_o include_v into_o one_o now_o this_o dragon_n speak_v of_o he_o be_v mean_v the_o same_o great_a red_a dragon_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o 12._o of_o the_o revelation_n who_o persecute_v the_o woman_n
