mischief_n upon_o theirbe_n d_n when_o the_o morning_n light_n come_v they_o practise_v it_o so_o on_o the_o contrary_a let_v we_o as_o soon_o as_o we_o awake_v imagine_v piety_n upon_o our_o bed_n that_o when_o the_o morning_n light_n come_v we_o may_v practice_v the_o same_o to_o god_n glory_n and_o our_o eternal_a salvation_n it_o be_v the_o practice_n of_o some_o wise_a people_n that_o live_v in_o infect_a place_n that_o ●efore_o 〈◊〉_d go_v abroad_o in_o the_o morning_n they_o take_v a_o ●rau●ht_n of_o some_o wholesome_a liquor_n to_o fill_v their_o vein_n which_o be_v a_o excellent_a meanu_n to_o prevent_v the_o infection_n of_o the_o pestilence_n or_o any_o such_o like_a catch_n or_o infectious_a disease_n so_o a_o good_a draught_n of_o prayer_n or_o holy_a meditation_n the_o read_n of_o a_o chapter_n next_o our_o heart_n such_o spiritual_a receipt_n will_v be_v excellent_a mean_n to_o prevent_v the_o world_n or_o devil_n infect_v of_o our_o soul_n whereas_o if_o we_o venture_v abroad_o without_o all_o or_o any_o of_o these_o fast_v as_o it_o be_v we_o be_v in_o great_a danger_n to_o be_v infect_v to_o this_o purpose_n we_o have_v the_o example_n and_o practice_v of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n who_o by_o private_a prayer_n and_o meditation_n make_v himself_o the_o fit_a for_o the_o discharge_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o his_o public_a ministry_n yea_o and_o arise_v early_o in_o the_o morning_n to_o that_o purpose_n observe_v it_o mar._n 1._o there_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o our_o saviour_n be_v earnest_o ben●_n upon_o the_o prepare_v and_o fit_v he_o for_o the_o duty_n of_o god_n public_a worship_n and_o service_n hereupon_o it_o be_v also_o that_o he_o give_v direction_n for_o private_a prayer_n even_o prayer_n in_o the_o closet_n as_o well_o as_o public_a matth._n 6._o 6._o but_o thou_o when_o thou_o pray_v enter_v into_o thy_o closet_n and_o shut_v the_o door_n and_o pray_v unto_o thy_o father_n in_o secret_a and_o thy_o father_n that_o see_v in_o secret_a will_v reward_v thou_o open_o which_o he_o do_v not_o only_o because_o such_o prayer_n for_o the_o most_o part_n be_v do_v in_o sincerity_n but_o also_o because_o he_o well_o know_v that_o the_o more_o man_n make_v conscience_n of_o prayer_n in_o secret_a the_o fit_a and_o the_o more_o willing_a they_o will_v be_v to_o spend_v time_n in_o the_o public_a duty_n of_o god_n service_n beside_o the_o promise_n of_o acceptance_n be_v make_v to_o such_o as_o seek_v wisdom_n early_o pro._n 8._o 17._o i_o love_v they_o that_o love_v i_o and_o they_o that_o seek_v i_o early_o shall_v find_v i_o say_v wisdom_n there_o chap._n ix_o contain_v the_o four_o direction_n how_o to_o spend_v much_o time_n in_o god_n service_n fourthly_o ordinance_n if_o we_o will_v spend_v much_o time_n in_o the_o duty_n 〈◊〉_d god_n public_a worship_n and_o service_n we_o must_v labour_v to_o 〈◊〉_d our_o heart_n fraught_v with_o the_o love_n of_o god_n house_n and_o ordinance_n we_o must_v love_v public_a prayer_n and_o the_o word_n preach_v and_o the_o sacrament_n etc._n etc._n man_n will_v never_o care_v for_o spend_v much_o time_n in_o thing_n which_o they_o love_v not_o they_o be_v soon_o weary_a of_o such_o kind_n of_o employment_n but_o on_o the_o other_o side_n man_n care_v not_o how_o much_o time_n they_o spend_v in_o those_o thing_n which_o they_o love_v and_o wherein_o they_o delight_v some_o spend_v their_o time_n in_o work_v and_o toil_n and_o moil_n to_o get_v wealth_n they_o will_v arise_v early_o and_o sit_v up_o late_o and_o eat_v the_o bread_n of_o sorrow_n etc._n etc._n and_o why_o so_o sure_o because_o they_o love_v profit_n some_o spend_v their_o time_n in_o hunt_v and_o hawk_v and_o such_o like_a recreation_n because_o they_o love_v their_o pleasure_n some_o spend_v their_o time_n in_o study_n because_o they_o love_v learning_n in_o a_o word_n trahit_fw-la sua_fw-la quemque_fw-la voluptas_fw-la every_o man_n usual_o spend_v most_o time_n in_o that_o which_o he_o love_v best_o and_o therefore_o he_o only_o be_v fit_a to_o spend_v much_o time_n in_o god_n service_n that_o be_v great_o in_o love_n with_o the_o
