a_o overbear_a might_n and_o strength_n in_o i_o as_o in_o the_o sea_n or_o the_o whale_n that_o nothing_o but_o the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n can_v withstand_v or_o restrain_v i_o that_o no_o less_o than_o these_o many_o grievous_a and_o mighty_a affliction_n can_v keep_v i_o within_o compass_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v sure_o it_o be_v not_o so_o i_o have_v neither_o be_v so_o stubborn_a against_o god_n nor_o so_o harmful_a to_o man_n that_o i_o shall_v need_v to_o be_v so_o shackle_a nor_o be_o i_o so_o strong_a but_o that_o a_o small_a matter_n if_o there_o have_v be_v any_o such_o danger_n may_v have_v keep_v i_o in_o verse_n 13._o my_o couch_n shall_v ease_v my_o complaint_n that_o be_v my_o couch_n shall_v ease_v my_o pain_n and_o sorrow_n the_o cause_n of_o my_o themselves_o and_o that_o because_o be_v of_o such_o infinite_a wisdom_n he_o can_v charge_v they_o with_o much_o evil_n which_o they_o discern_v not_o in_o themselves_o neither_o can_v they_o by_o any_o excuse_n or_o pretence_n hide_v their_o guilt_n from_o his_o all-seeing_a eye_n and_o be_v of_o such_o infinite_a power_n there_o be_v no_o possibility_n that_o they_o shall_v prosper_v that_o do_v harden_v themselves_o to_o contend_v with_o he_o verse_n 5._o which_o remove_v the_o mountain_n and_o they_o know_v not_o that_o be_v god_n can_v if_o he_o please_v remove_v the_o great_a hill_n and_o mountain_n from_o one_o place_n to_o another_o and_o overturn_v they_o in_o his_o anger_n and_o that_o sudden_o even_o in_o a_o instant_n before_o they_o can_v apprehend_v what_o be_v do_v to_o they_o for_o though_o this_o clause_n and_o they_o know_v not_o may_v be_v mean_v of_o those_o that_o dwell_v in_o these_o mountain_n to_o wit_n that_o such_o mountain_n be_v in_o such_o a_o instant_n carry_v out_o of_o their_o place_n that_o the_o inhabitant_n have_v no_o warning_n to_o discern_v the_o danger_n that_o they_o may_v shift_v for_o themselves_o yet_o it_o may_v as_o well_o be_v understand_v oft_o he_o mountain_n themselves_o the_o scripture_n usual_o speak_v of_o thing_n without_o life_n as_o if_o they_o have_v both_o life_n and_o reason_n and_o understanding_n too_o as_o psal_n 58.9_o before_o your_o pot_n can_v feel_v the_o thorn_n he_o shall_v take_v they_o away_o verse_n 6._o which_o shake_v the_o earth_n out_o of_o her_o place_n and_o the_o pillar_n thereof_o tremble_v that_o be_v he_o can_v if_o he_o please_v shake_v the_o earth_n from_o the_o top_n to_o the_o bottom_n and_o make_v the_o very_a foundation_n thereof_o to_o tremble_v the_o earth_n be_v a_o allusion_n to_o a_o careful_a and_o cunning_a workman_n that_o use_v when_o he_o have_v make_v any_o choice_a piece_n to_o turn_v it_o this_o way_n and_o that_o &_o to_o look_v round_o about_o to_o see_v if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v defective_a or_o that_o may_v be_v make_v more_o curious_a and_o exact_a then_o as_o yet_o it_o be_v now_o for_o the_o connection_n of_o these_o word_n with_o that_o which_o go_v before_o some_o conceive_v that_o job_n here_o prove_v what_o he_o have_v say_v in_o the_o forego_n verse_n to_o

or_o some_o curse_n of_o god_n upon_o his_o estate_n he_o never_o enjoy_v any_o comfortable_a satisfy_a portion_n of_o what_o he_o have_v and_o also_o that_o he_o have_v no_o burial_n that_o be_v no_o decent_a burial_n to_o wit_n either_o because_o out_o of_o base_a covetousness_n he_o neither_o live_v nor_o die_v provide_v for_o it_o and_o be_v a_o hate_a man_n his_o heir_n that_o only_o gape_v after_o his_o good_n do_v whole_o neglect_v it_o or_o because_o fall_v into_o the_o hand_n of_o thief_n and_o robber_n he_o be_v by_o they_o drown_v or_o slay_v and_o cast_v into_o a_o ditch_n as_o he_o come_v in_o with_o vanity_n etc._n etc._n here_o the_o reason_n be_v show_v why_o a_o untimely_a birth_n be_v in_o a_o better_a condition_n than_o a_o covetous_a muck-worm_n that_o take_v no_o comfort_n in_o what_o he_o enjoy_v and_o be_v obscure_o bury_v yea_o though_o he_o have_v many_o child_n and_o live_v many_o year_n namely_o because_o the_o abortive_a untimely_a birth_n though_o he_o enjoy_v not_o the_o benefit_n of_o this_o life_n yet_o he_o be_v not_o withal_o trouble_v with_o the_o misery_n of_o this_o life_n and_o so_o as_o solomon_n conclude_v in_o the_o end_n of_o the_o next_o verse_n he_o enjoy_v more_o rest_n than_o the_o other_o do_v for_o he_o that_o be_v the_o abortive_a come_v in_o with_o vanity_n to_o wit_n in_o that_o he_o seem_v in_o man_n judgement_n to_o have_v be_v conceive_v and_o bear_v in_o vain_a and_o to_o no_o purpose_n because_o he_o reap_v no_o good_a of_o his_o be_v conceive_v and_o bear_v but_o be_v as_o nothing_o and_o as_o if_o he_o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v in_o these_o regard_n the_o untimely_a birth_n be_v in_o a_o better_a condition_n than_o the_o covetous_a man_n before_o mention_v vers_fw-la 3._o to_o wit_n because_o the_o untimely_a birth_n have_v more_o rest_n than_o he_o see_v he_o be_v at_o rest_n from_o the_o very_a womb_n whereas_o the_o covetous_a man_n live_v a_o toilsome_a unquiet_a life_n all_o his_o the_o hebrew_n the_o soul_n be_v not_o fill_v the_o meaning_n whereof_o be_v either_o 1._o that_o man_n appetite_n can_v never_o be_v so_o satisfy_v with_o meat_n and_o drink_n but_o that_o within_o a_o while_n his_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n will_v return_v again_o nor_o will_v it_o be_v so_o satisfy_v but_o that_o still_o it_o will_v be_v affect_v new_a variety_n of_o dainty_n and_o then_o the_o drift_n of_o the_o word_n may_v be_v to_o imply_v the_o vanity_n of_o man_n labour_n here_o in_o this_o world_n or_o the_o vanity_n of_o riches_n even_o then_o when_o the_o owner_n thereof_o do_v foolish_a he_o have_v as_o much_o profit_n by_o his_o little_a as_o the_o rich_a man_n have_v by_o all_o his_o abundance_n in_o that_o he_o have_v wherewithal_o to_o preserve_v life_n and_o live_v comfortable_o thereon_o and_o the_o rich_a can_v do_v no_o more_o but_o i_o rather_o think_v that_o the_o word_n more_o which_o be_v in_o the_o first_o clause_n of_o

from_o he_o 4._o because_o by_o the_o same_o power_n whereby_o we_o be_v create_v we_o be_v continual_o preserve_v and_o 5._o because_o consequent_o he_o be_v able_a every_o moment_n to_o destroy_v we_o therefore_o it_o be_v most_o equal_a that_o we_o shall_v love_v and_o fear_n and_o obey_v he_o and_o consecrate_v our_o whole_a life_n to_o his_o service_n especial_o out_o youth_n which_o be_v these_o word_n but_o rather_o by_o many_o water_n here_o and_o flood_n of_o water_n be_v mean_v as_o usual_o in_o the_o scripture_n many_o and_o sore_a affliction_n see_v 2_o sam._n 22.16_o psal_n 32.6_o &_o 42.7_o and_o so_o that_o which_o be_v intend_v be_v that_o no_o threaten_n affliction_n or_o persecution_n can_v beat_v off_o the_o spouse_n from_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n see_v rom._n 8.35_o and_o therefore_o in_o the_o follow_a word_n the_o contrary_a be_v add_v too_o to_o wit_n that_o as_o no_o terror_n can_v beat_v they_o off_o from_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n so_o neither_o can_v any_o temptation_n by_o the_o proffer_n of_o the_o great_a wealth_n or_o reward_n allure_v they_o from_o it_o if_o a_o man_n will_v give_v all_o the_o substance_n of_o his_o house_n for_o love_n
