week_n in_o manner_n as_o be_v hereafter_o express_v viz._n upon_o mondays_n wednesdays_n and_o friday_n weekly_o between_o the_o feast_n of_o the_o annunciation_n and_o the_o feast_n of_o st._n michael_n from_o six_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o forenoon_n until_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n of_o the_o same_o day_n and_o between_o the_o feast_n of_o st._n michael_n and_o the_o annunciation_n from_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n before_o noon_n until_o five_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n of_o the_o same_o day_n and_o upon_o every_o saturday_n in_o the_o week_n all_o the_o year_n long_o from_o the_o aforesaid_a respective_a hour_n of_o six_o and_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n before_o noon_n until_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n of_o the_o same_o day_n for_o so_o long_a time_n only_o as_o he_o or_o they_o shall_v furnish_v the_o say_a stall_n stand_n and_o place_n with_o wholesome_a flesh_n and_o other_o provision_n in_o he_o or_o their_o own_o right_n and_o not_o as_o servant_n or_o servant_n or_o otherwise_o in_o behalf_n of_o any_o other_o any_o thing_n in_o any_o former_a act_n of_o common_a council_n contain_v to_o the_o shall_v sell_v utter_a or_o put_v to_o open_a show_n or_o sale_n in_o the_o say_a market_n his_o or_o their_o butchery_n or_o poultry_n ware_n upon_o monday_n or_o friday_n in_o any_o week_n forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o ten_o shilling_n and_o to_o the_o end_n the_o respective_a hour_n aforesaid_a may_v the_o better_o be_v observe_v in_o the_o say_a market_n it_o be_v further_a enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o a_o market_n bell_n in_o all_o the_o several_a market_n within_o the_o city_n of_o london_n shall_v ring_v twice_o every_o day_n that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o first_o ring_v from_o the_o twenty_o five_o of_o march_n yearly_a until_o the_o twenty_o nine_o day_n of_o september_n at_o seven_o of_o the_o clock_n before_o noon_n except_o upon_o monday_n and_o then_o the_o first_o ring_v shall_v not_o begin_v till_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o forenoon_n and_o from_o the_o twenty_o nine_o day_n of_o september_n yearly_o until_o the_o twenty_o five_o day_n of_o march_n at_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n before_o noon_n and_o not_o before_o except_o upon_o monday_n and_o then_o the_o first_o ring_v shall_v not_o begin_v till_o nine_o of_o the_o clock_n before_o noon_n and_o that_o the_o second_o ring_v of_o the_o market_n bell_n for_o raise_v of_o the_o say_a market_n shall_v begin_v to_o ring_n from_o and_o after_o the_o twenty_o five_o of_o march_n yearly_a until_o the_o twenty_o nine_o day_n of_o september_n except_o on_o saturdays_n half_o a_o hour_n after_o four_o in_o the_o afternoon_n and_o to_o continue_v ring_v till_o five_o of_o the_o clock_n and_o from_o and_o after_o the_o twenty_o nine_o day_n of_o september_n until_o the_o twenty_o five_o day_n of_o march_n yearly_a except_o on_o saturdays_n to_o begin_v to_o ring_n half_o a_o hour_n after_o three_o of_o the_o clock_n and_o to_o continue_v ring_v until_o four_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o afternoon_n and_o that_o the_o second_o ring_v of_o the_o market_n bell_n upon_o saturday_n weekly_o throughout_o the_o year_n shall_v begin_v half_a a_o hour_n after_o seven_o of_o the_o clock_n and_o to_o continue_v ring_v
until_o eight_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n of_o the_o same_o day_n and_o if_o any_o butcher_n or_o butcher_n poulterer_n or_o poulterer_n victualler_n or_o country_n farmer_n lader_n kidder_n or_o other_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v sell_v or_o put_v to_o open_a sale_n any_o manner_n of_o butchery_n or_o poultry_n ware_n or_o other_o provision_n in_o the_o say_a market_n before_o ring_v of_o the_o market_n bell_n at_o the_o say_v several_a hour_n and_o time_n in_o the_o morning_n respective_o such_o offender_n or_o offender_n shall_v be_v proceed_v against_o as_o forestaller_n of_o the_o market_n as_o by_o the_o law_n in_o this_o case_n be_v direct_v and_o appoint_v and_o that_o no_o butcher_n poulterer_n victualler_n country_n farmer_n lader_n kidder_n or_o other_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v sell_v or_o put_v to_o open_a sale_n any_o butchery_n or_o poultry_n ware_n or_o other_o provision_n after_o the_o end_n of_o ring_v the_o market_n bell_n at_o long_a time_n as_o he_o or_o they_o shall_v keep_v any_o butcher_n or_o poulterer_n shop_n within_o the_o limit_n aforesaid_a and_o further_o that_o no_o butcher_n poulterer_n or_o other_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v have_v and_o enjoy_v more_o than_o two_o stall_n stand_n or_o place_n within_o any_o one_o of_o the_o market_n aforemention_v at_o one_o time_n provide_v always_o that_o the_o country_n people_n and_o other_o resort_v to_o the_o say_a market_n be_v not_o butcher_n not_o poulterer_n nor_o sell_v any_o manner_n of_o flesh-meat_n or_o poultry_n may_v stand_v or_o sit_v and_o vend_fw-mi their_o herb_n fruit_n egg_n butter_n and_o other_o such_o like_a provision_n and_o commodity_n in_o the_o market_n upon_o every_o work_a day_n in_o the_o week_n between_o the_o feast_n of_o the_o annunciation_n and_o the_o feast_n of_o st._n michael_n the_o archangel_n from_o seven_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o morning_n until_o five_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n of_o the_o same_o day_n and_o upon_o every_o work_a day_n between_o the_o feast_n of_o st._n michael_n and_o the_o annunciation_n from_o six_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o morning_n until_o four_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o evening_n of_o the_o same_o day_n so_o as_o the_o same_o person_n that_o bring_v they_o first_o to_o market_n do_v continue_v the_o sell_v thereof_o and_o do_v observe_v the_o ring_n of_o the_o market_n bell_n for_o keep_v the_o say_a hour_n according_o and_o it_o be_v also_o further_o enact_v in_o regard_n that_o the_o market_n be_v most_o principal_o intend_v for_o the_o benefit_n of_o housekeeper_n who_o buy_v for_o their_o own_o use_n and_o behoof_n that_o the_o retailer_n and_o trader_n of_o this_o city_n who_o buy_v to_o sell_v again_o shall_v not_o enter_v into_o any_o of_o the_o aforesaid_a market_n to_o make_v their_o provision_n and_o buy_v of_o any_o of_o the_o market_n people_n there_o to_o carry_v the_o same_o to_o their_o several_a house_n and_o shop_n until_o the_o afternoon_n of_o every_o day_n to_o the_o end_n that_o housekeeper_n may_v provide_v themselves_o in_o the_o morning_n of_o every_o day_n at_o the_o first_o hand_n and_o pay_v moderate_a rate_n for_o their_o provision_n upon_o pain_n that_o every_o such_o retailer_n or_o retailer_n or_o trader_n shall_v for_o every_o time_n offend_a herein_o forfeit_v forty_o shilling_n and_o forasmuch_o as_o all_o dead_a flesh-meat_n and_o other_o victual_n and_o provision_n of_o all_o sort_n of_o fruit_n herb_n fish_n and_o the_o like_a aught_o to_o be_v sell_v in_o open_a and_o common_a market_n allow_v and_o appoint_v and_o not_o under_o private_a stall_n or_o at_o tavern_n door_n or_o in_o any_o street_n or_o common_a passage_n or_o in_o any_o private_a place_n or_o carry_v up_o and_o down_o and_o sell_v by_o way_n of_o hawk_v by_o mean_n whereof_o much_o unwholesome_a provision_n dangerous_a to_o the_o health_n and_o body_n of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n may_v be_v utter_v house_n lane_n alley_n inn_n warehouse_n street-stall_n or_o common_a passage_n or_o other_o place_n or_o place_n whatsoever_o within_o the_o city_n of_o london_n or_o liberty_n thereof_o but_o only_o in_o his_o or_o their_o open_a shop_n or_o shop_n or_o in_o the_o public_a market_n place_n or_o place_n and_o in_o market_n time_n only_o according_a as_o be_v before_o appoint_v upon_o pain_n that_o every_o such_o person_n so_o carry_v or_o offer_v to_o put_v to_o sale_n by_o way_n of_o hawk_v or_o in_o any_o otherwise_o any_o flesh-meat_n poultry_n or_o other_o victual_n whatsoever_o as_o and_o there_o continue_v for_o no_o long_a space_n quit_v the_o market_n at_o eight_o or_o nine_o of_o the_o clock_n in_o the_o morning_n shall_v pay_v for_o the_o large_a place_n or_o stand_n only_o three_o penny_n for_o every_o time_n they_o resort_v thither_o and_o for_o the_o lesser_a place_n or_o stand_n only_o two_o penny_n and_o that_o the_o say_v collector_n or_o receiver_n shall_v not_o demand_v or_o require_v of_o the_o market_n people_n more_o than_o according_a to_o the_o aforesaid_a rate_n without_o the_o free_a consent_n and_o agreement_n of_o the_o say_a market_n people_n for_o the_o aforesaid_a market_n place_n or_o direct_o or_o indirect_o take_v require_v or_o exact_v any_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o other_o reward_n of_o the_o market_n people_n for_o any_o stall_n stand_n or_o accommodation_n of_o their_o place_n and_o station_n in_o the_o say_a market_n upon_o pain_n that_o every_o person_n offend_v herein_o shall_v forfeit_v and_o lose_v for_o every_o of_o this_o court_n to_o appoint_v fit_v person_n for_o overseer_n of_o the_o say_v respective_a market_n and_o collector_n or_o receiver_n of_o the_o profit_n or_o duty_n arise_v or_o grow_v out_o of_o the_o same_o and_o to_o treat_v and_o agree_v with_o the_o say_a person_n and_o allow_v they_o for_o their_o care_n and_o pain_n such_o part_n or_o portion_n of_o the_o say_a profit_n as_o in_o their_o discretion_n shall_v be_v find_v requisite_a provide_v the_o say_a allowance_n exceed_v not_o the_o ten_o part_n of_o the_o whole_a clear_a profit_n all_o necessary_a charge_n be_v deduct_v upon_o condition_n that_o the_o say_v overseer_n and_o collector_n or_o receiver_n that_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v thereunto_o appoint_v by_o order_n as_o aforesaid_a do_v give_v sufficient_a security_n to_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o the_o say_a committee_n for_o their_o diligence_n and_o faithful_a performance_n in_o their_o office_n and_o overseeing_a the_o order_n and_o the_o market_n people_n against_o the_o say_a overseer_n and_o collector_n or_o receiver_n or_o otherwise_o to_o compose_v and_o redress_v the_o same_o as_o soon_o as_o possible_o they_o can_v that_o so_o all_o disturbance_n to_o the_o market_n people_n and_o unnecessary_a suit_n at_o law_n may_v be_v avoid_v and_o that_o the_o say_v overseer_n and_o receiver_n or_o collector_n shall_v frequent_o attend_v and_o be_v in_o the_o say_a market_n during_o market_n time_n and_o diligent_o oversee_v the_o same_o to_o prevent_v with_o their_o best_a care_n any_o abuse_n or_o disorder_n that_o may_v displace_v and_o disable_v of_o any_o office_n or_o place_n touch_v the_o say_a market_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o in_o case_n the_o aforesaid_a committee_n for_o let_v the_o city_n land_n shall_v at_o any_o time_n hereafter_o find_v it_o most_o fit_v and_o advantageous_a for_o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o chamber_n to_o let_v the_o say_a market_n or_o any_o of_o they_o to_o farm_n that_o then_o the_o committee_n aforesaid_a for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v and_o may_v treat_v with_o any_o person_n or_o person_n for_o let_v the_o same_o to_o farm_n upon_o the_o best_a term_n
