they_o do_v whole_o altogether_o follow_v rebellion_n wherein_o as_o all_o their_o misery_n be_v so_o be_v there_o much_o more_o mischief_n than_o in_o they_o all_o for_o it_o be_v know_v that_o in_o the_o resort_v of_o great_a company_n of_o man_n together_o which_o in_o rebellion_n happen_v both_o upon_o the_o part_n of_o true_a subject_n and_o of_o the_o rebel_n by_o their_o close_a lie_v together_o and_o corruption_n of_o the_o air_n and_o place_n where_o they_o do_v lie_v with_o ordure_n and_o much_o filth_n in_o the_o hot_a weather_n and_o by_o unwholesome_a lodging_n and_o lie_v often_o upon_o the_o ground_n especial_o in_o cold_a weather_n in_o winter_n by_o their_o unwholesome_a diet_n and_o feed_v at_o all_o time_n and_o often_o by_o famine_n and_o lack_v of_o meat_n and_o drink_v in_o due_a time_n and_o again_o by_o take_v too_o much_o at_o other_o time_n it_o be_v well_o know_v i_o say_v that_o as_o well_o plague_n and_o pestilence_n as_o all_o other_o kind_n of_o sickness_n and_o malady_n by_o these_o mean_n grow_v up_o and_o spring_n among_o man_n whereby_o more_o man_n be_v consume_v at_o length_n then_o be_v by_o dint_n of_o sword_n sudden_o slay_v in_o the_o field_n so_o that_o not_o only_a pestilence_n but_o also_o all_o other_o sickness_n disease_n and_o malady_n do_v follow_v rebellion_n which_o be_v much_o more_o horrible_a than_o plague_n pestilence_n and_o disease_n send_v direct_o from_o god_n as_o hereafter_o shall_v appear_v more_o plain_o and_o as_o for_o hunger_n and_o famine_n they_o be_v the_o peculiar_a companion_n of_o rebellion_n for_o while_o rebel_n do_v in_o a_o short_a time_n spoil_n and_o consume_v all_o corn_n and_o necessary_a provision_n which_o man_n with_o their_o labour_n have_v get_v and_o appoint_v upon_o for_o their_o find_v the_o whole_a year_n after_o and_o also_o do_v let_v all_o other_o man_n husbandman_n and_o other_o from_o their_o husbandry_n and_o other_o necessary_a work_n whereby_o provision_n shall_v be_v make_v for_o time_n to_o come_v who_o see_v not_o that_o extreme_a famine_n and_o hunger_n must_v needs_o short_o ensue_v 24._o 1_o king_n 24._o and_o follow_v rebellion_n now_o whereas_o the_o wise_a king_n and_o godly_a prophet_n david_n judge_v war_n to_o be_v worse_o than_o either_o famine_n or_o pestilence_n for_o that_o these_o two_o be_v often_o suffer_v by_o god_n for_o man_n amendment_n and_o be_v not_o sin_n of_o themselves_o but_o war_n have_v always_o the_o sin_n and_o mischief_n of_o man_n upon_o the_o one_o side_n or_o other_o join_v with_o they_o and_o therefore_o be_v war_n the_o great_a of_o all_o worldly_a mischief_n but_o of_o all_o war_n civil_a war_n be_v the_o worst_a and_o far_o more_o abominable_a yet_o be_v rebellion_n than_o any_o civil_a war_n be_v unworthy_a the_o name_n of_o any_o war_n so_o far_o it_o exceed_v all_o war_n in_o all_o naughtiness_n in_o all_o mischief_n and_o in_o all_o abomination_n 32._o math._n 32._o and_o therefore_o our_o saviour_n christ_n denounce_v desolation_n and_o destruction_n to_o that_o realm_n that_o by_o sedition_n and_o rebellion_n be_v divide_v in_o itself_o now_o as_o i_o have_v show_v before_o that_o pestilence_n and_o famine_n so_o be_v it_o yet_o more_o evident_a that_o all_o the_o calamity_n misery_n and_o mischief_n of_o war_n be_v more_o grievous_a and_o do_v more_o follow_v rebellion_n than_o any_o other_o war_n as_o be_v far_o worse_o than_o all_o other_o war_n for_o not_o only_o those_o ordinary_a and_o usual_a mischief_n and_o misery_n of_o other_o war_n do_v follow_v rebellion_n as_o corn_n and_o other_o thing_n necessary_a to_o man_n use_n to_o be_v spoil_v house_n village_n town_n city_n to_o be_v take_v sack_v burn_a and_o destroy_v not_o only_o many_o very_a wealthy_a man_n but_o whole_a country_n to_o be_v impoverish_v and_o utter_o beggar_a many_o thousand_o of_o man_n to_o be_v slay_v and_o murder_v woman_n and_o maid_n to_o be_v violate_v and_o deslowr_v which_o thing_n when_o they_o be_v do_v by_o foreign_a enemy_n we_o do_v much_o mourn_v as_o we_o have_v great_a cause_n yet_o be_v all_o these_o misery_n without_o any_o wickedness_n wrought_v by_o any_o of_o our_o own_o countryman_n but_o when_o these_o mischief_n be_v wrought_v in_o rebellion_n by_o they_o that_o shall_v be_v friend_n by_o countryman_n by_o kinsman_n by_o those_o that_o shall_v defend_v their_o country_n and_o countryman_n from_o such_o misery_n the_o misery_n be_v nothing_o so_o great_a as_o be_v the_o mischief_n and_o wickedness_n when_o the_o subject_n unnatural_o do_v rebel_n against_o their_o prince_n who_o honour_n and_o life_n they_o shall_v defend_v though_o it_o be_v with_o the_o loss_n of_o their_o own_o life_n countryman_n to_o disturb_v the_o public_a peace_n and_o quietness_n of_o their_o country_n for_o defence_n of_o who_o quietness_n they_o shall_v spend_v their_o life_n the_o brother_n to_o seek_v and_o often_o to_o work_v the_o death_n of_o his_o brother_n the_o son_n of_o the_o father_n the_o father_n to_o seek_v or_o procure_v the_o death_n of_o his_o son_n be_v at_o man_n age_n and_o by_o their_o fault_n to_o disinherit_v their_o innocent_a child_n and_o kinsman_n their_o heir_n for_o ever_o for_o who_o they_o may_v purchase_v live_n and_o land_n as_o natural_a parent_n
high_a estate_n than_o god_n have_v give_v or_o appoint_v unto_o they_o by_o ignorance_n i_o mean_v no_o unskilfullnesse_n in_o art_n or_o science_n but_o the_o lack_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n bless_a will_n declare_v in_o his_o holy_a word_n which_o teach_v both_o extreme_o to_o abhor_v all_o rebellion_n as_o be_v the_o root_n of_o all_o mischief_n and_o special_o to_o delight_v in_o obedience_n as_o the_o beginning_n and_o foundation_n of_o all_o goodness_n as_o have_v be_v also_o before_o specify_v and_o as_o these_o be_v the_o two_o chief_a cause_n of_o rebellion_n so_o be_v there_o special_o two_o sort_n of_o man_n in_o who_o these_o vice_n do_v reign_v by_o who_o the_o devil_n the_o author_n of_o all_o evil_a do_v chief_o stir_v up_o all_o disobedience_n and_o rebellion_n the_o restless_a ambition_n have_v once_o determine_v by_o one_o mean_n or_o other_o to_o achieve_v to_o their_o intend_a purpose_n when_o they_o can_v by_o lawful_a and_o peaceable_a mean_n climb_v so_o high_a as_o they_o do_v desire_n they_o attempt_v the_o same_o by_o force_n and_o violence_n wherein_o when_o they_o can_v prevail_v against_o the_o ordinary_a authority_n and_o power_n of_o lawful_a prince_n and_o governor_n themselves_o alone_o they_o do_v seek_v the_o aid_n and_o help_v of_o the_o ignorant_a multitude_n abuse_v they_o to_o their_o wicked_a purpose_n wherefore_o see_v a_o few_o ambitious_a and_o malicious_a be_v the_o author_n and_o head_n and_o multitude_n of_o ignorant_a man_n be_v the_o minister_n and_o furtherer_n of_o rebellion_n the_o chief_a point_n of_o this_o sermon_n shall_v be_v aswell_o to_o notify_v to_o the_o simple_a and_o ignorant_a man_n who_o they_o be_v that_o have_v be_v and_o be_v usual_a author_n of_o rebellion_n be_v repress_v and_o clear_o extinguish_v it_o be_v well_o know_v as_o well_o by_o all_o history_n as_o by_o daily_a experience_n that_o none_o have_v either_o more_o ambitious_o aspire_v above_o emperor_n king_n and_o prince_n nor_o have_v more_o pernitious_o move_v the_o ignorant_a people_n to_o rebellion_n against_o their_o prince_n then_o certain_a person_n which_o false_o challenge_v to_o themselves_o to_o be_v only_o count_v and_o call_v spiritual_a i_o must_v therefore_o here_o yet_o once_o again_o brief_o good_a people_n put_v you_o in_o remembrance_n out_o of_o god_n holy_a word_n how_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o holy_a apostle_n the_o head_n and_o chief_a of_o all_o true_a spiritual_a and_o ecclesiastical_a man_n behave_v themselves_o towards_o the_o prince_n christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o so_o spirltuall_a man_n that_o either_o by_o ambition_n do_v so_o high_o aspire_v or_o malicious_o teach_v or_o most_o pernitious_o do_v execute_v rebellion_n against_o their_o lawful_a prince_n be_v the_o worst_a of_o all_o carnal_a work_n and_o mischievous_a deed_n the_o holy_a scripture_n do_v teach_v most_o express_o that_o our_o saviour_n christ_n himself_o and_o his_o apostle_n saint_n paul_n saint_n peter_n with_o other_o be_v unto_o the_o magistrate_n and_o high_a power_n which_o rule_v at_o their_o be_v upon_o the_o earth_n both_o obedient_a themselves_o and_o do_v also_o diligent_o and_o earnest_o persuade_v all_o other_o christian_n to_o the_o like_a obedience_n unto_o their_o prince_n and_o governor_n whereby_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o man_n of_o the_o clergy_n and_o ecclesiastical_a minister_n as_o their_o successor_n ought_v both_o themselves_o special_o and_o before_o other_o to_o be_v obedient_a unto_o their_o priuce_n as_o also_o to_o exhort_v all_o other_o to_o the_o same_o our_o saviour_n christ_n likewise_o teach_v by_o his_o doctrine_n that_o his_o kingdom_n be_v not_o of_o this_o world_n do_v by_o that_o the_o bishop_n of_o rome_n be_v by_o the_o order_n of_o god_n word_n none_o other_o than_o the_o bishop_n of_o that_o one_o see_v and_o diocese_n and_o never_o yet_o well_o able_a to_o govern_v
