conscience_n sake_n who_o command_v that_o which_o be_v contrary_a to_o that_o of_o god_n in_o the_o conscience_n though_o many_o do_v deny_v the_o lord_n and_o conform_v to_o such_o yet_o who_o be_v work_n to_o undeceive_v the_o least_o of_o these_o who_o be_v thus_o conceit_v though_o man_n of_o great_a wit_n and_o part_n as_o they_o call_v they_o which_o be_v but_o a_o high_a deceit_n may_v lead_v they_o from_o one_o deceit_n to_o another_o yet_o all_o the_o world_n wisdom_n can_v bring_v they_o into_o the_o good_a work_n nor_o the_o way_n wherein_o it_o be_v wrought_v only_o such_o nation_n but_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v make_v a_o cover_n &_o man_n bless_v themselves_o therewith_o in_o the_o great_a abomination_n and_o this_o have_v its_o beginning_n at_o the_o head_n of_o deceit_n and_o be_v go_v over_o all_o the_o whole_a body_n for_o to_o cover_v your_o own_o wickedness_n pride_n and_o covetuousness_n have_v you_o teacher_n invent_v this_o faith_n that_o its_o sufficient_a to_o believe_v in_o a_o righteousness_n you_o read_v of_o in_o the_o letter_n through_o you_o be_v not_o obedient_a to_o it_o in_o spirit_n but_o you_o that_o be_v not_o servant_n of_o righteousness_n be_v no_o servant_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o work_n and_o your_o faith_n without_o his_o work_n will_v be_v little_a worth_n to_o salvation_n and_o even_o as_o it_o save_v you_o out_o of_o sin_n so_o will_v it_o save_v you_o out_o of_o condemnation_n and_o no_o further_o and_o this_o that_o in_o your_o conscience_n will_v witness_v if_o you_o take_v counsel_n at_o it_o no_o further_o than_o you_o find_v the_o power_n of_o his_o righteousness_n work_v in_o you_o and_o you_o own_v it_o in_o obedience_n and_o subjection_n and_o join_v to_o it_o against_o all_o unrighteousness_n no_o more_o of_o it_o you_o can_v inherit_v nor_o be_v make_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o he_o and_o at_o that_o day_n when_o he_o come_v to_o separate_v the_o precious_a from_o the_o vile_a then_o will_v you_o see_v in_o what_o stead_n your_o notion_n of_o righteousness_n be_v when_o the_o worker_n of_o iniquity_n be_v find_v and_o judge_v with_o christ_n all_o who_o own_v not_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n and_o who_o day_n of_o visitation_n be_v past_a such_o have_v a_o measure_n of_o sin_n to_o fill_v up_o in_o the_o other_o seed_n which_o they_o shall_v not_o pass_v and_o for_o this_o purpose_n be_v that_o seed_n raise_v up_o and_o prepare_v that_o he_o may_v show_v his_o power_n upon_o he_o who_o do_v not_o retain_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n that_o they_o all_o may_v be_v damn_v who_o take_v pleasure_n in_o unrighteousness_n serve_v the_o creature_n more_o than_o the_o creator_n who_o heart_n be_v fill_v with_o all_o lasciviousness_n and_o fleshly_a lust_n and_o these_o be_v the_o vessel_n of_o dishonour_n but_o if_o any_o man_n purge_v himself_o from_o these_o he_o shall_v be_v a_o vessel_n unto_o honour_n sanctify_a and_o meet_v for_o the_o master_n use_n and_o prepare_v unto_o every_o good_a work_n which_o they_o who_o live_v in_o these_o thing_n be_v to_o the_o good_a work_n reprobate_a to_o god_n and_o to_o the_o faith_n of_o god_n and_o so_o here_o be_v the_o election_n and_o reprobation_n they_o that_o be_v the_o after_o the_o spirit_n and_o they_o that_o be_v after_o the_o flesh_n and_o they_o thar_z be_v after_o the_o flesh_n be_v not_o the_o seed_n but_o they_o that_o be_v after_o the_o spirit_n be_v account_v for_o the_o seed_n and_o these_o have_v obtain_v but_o the_o rest_n be_v harden_v and_o so_o there_o be_v no_o unrighteousness_n with_o god_n but_o the_o unrighteousness_n be_v with_o man_n who_o reject_v the_o counsel_n of_o the_o lord_n against_o themselves_o and_o choose_v to_o abide_v in_o that_o which_o god_n have_v curse_v and_o wherein_o all_o must_v be_v harden_v to_o their_o own_o destruction_n notwithstanding_o all_o their_o endeavour_n and_o labour_n prayer_n and_o tear_n that_o be_v in_o this_o nature_n it_o be_v not_o accept_v this_o be_v the_o seed_n which_o god_n have_v put_v the_o enmity_n in_o against_o his_o own_o seed_n it_o can_v be_v well_o please_v to_o he_o for_o in_o this_o he_o have_v place_v his_o displeasure_n but_o in_o the_o other_o mercy_n wherein_o he_o be_v well_o please_v for_o his_o mercy_n sake_n so_o it_o be_v not_o of_o he_o that_o will_v nor_o of_o he_o that_o run_v but_o of_o he_o that_o have_v show_v mercy_n and_o this_o mercy_n have_v he_o set_v above_o all_o his_o work_n so_o he_o that_o stay_v in_o the_o world_n can_v obtain_v it_o but_o the_o light_n which_o lead_v out_o of_o the_o world_n lead_v up_o to_o it_o and_o whosoever_o come_v unto_o he_o he_o will_v in_o no_o wise_a cast_v off_o but_o who_o come_v not_o to_o he_o be_v cast_v off_o already_o because_o they_o will_v not_o come_v to_o the_o light_n of_o life_n so_o read_v your_o condemnation_n you_o vain_a babbler_n who_o spend_v your_o time_n with_o dispute_v about_o election_n with_o your_o reprobate_a mind_n when_o you_o find_v that_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n condemn_v you_o for_o your_o lust_n and_o earthly_a delight_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n move_v in_o you_o against_o your_o evil_a deed_n but_o you_o will_v not_o be_v obedient_a thereto_o but_o you_o still_o harden_v your_o heart_n against_o the_o light_n that_o be_v the_o reprobate_a state_n and_o that_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n that_o strive_v in_o thou_o against_o it_o which_o will_v not_o thou_o shall_v die_v in_o it_o then_o let_v that_o of_o god_n in_o thy_o conscience_n judge_n if_o thy_o destruction_n be_v not_o of_o thyself_o who_o way_n be_v reprobate_a from_o god_n and_o let_v that_o of_o god_n in_o thy_o own_o conscience_n which_o reprove_v thou_o for_o thy_o wickedness_n be_v a_o witness_n against_o thou_o that_o god_n delight_v not_o in_o thy_o destruction_n but_o rather_o that_o thou_o shall_v repent_v and_o so_o have_v give_v thou_o his_o light_n to_o reprove_v thou_o and_o lead_v thou_o to_o repentance_n show_v that_o he_o have_v not_o conclude_v thy_o condemnation_n before_o thou_o be_v bear_v and_o let_v the_o same_o light_n which_o check_v thou_o for_o thy_o sin_n and_o let_v thou_o see_v in_o thy_o heart_n that_o the_o righteous_a god_n have_v appoint_v a_o day_n wherein_o all_o shall_v receive_v after_o their_o do_n be_v a_o witness_n against_o thy_o vain_a thought_n that_o god_n have_v not_o conclude_v to_o quit_v thou_o in_o thy_o wickedness_n nor_o do_v thy_o selfish_a imagination_n make_v thy_o sin_n any_o less_o in_o god_n account_n and_o so_o the_o righteous_a judge_n of_o all_o the_o earth_n will_v proceed_v to_o do_v righteousness_n and_o therefore_o to_o make_v way_n for_o the_o same_o have_v he_o place_v his_o pure_a light_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o every_o one_o that_o will_v mind_v it_o which_o will_v clear_o show_v you_o all_o whether_o you_o be_v in_o the_o elect_a seed_n or_o in_o the_o seed_n of_o evil_a doer_n and_o this_o light_n be_v that_o which_o be_v believe_v and_o follow_v do_v reveal_v the_o election_n and_o reprobation_n and_o without_o it_o none_o know_v who_o be_v elect_v or_o reprobate_v nor_o can_v judge_v thereof_o but_o if_o the_o light_n be_v mind_v it_o will_v reprove_v the_o reprobate_n and_o his_o way_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o god_n in_o his_o own_o heart_n for_o his_o own_o work_n but_o who_o work_n be_v wrought_v in_o god_n with_o the_o light_n be_v justify_v concern_v the_o new_a birth_n there_o be_v the_o old_a man_n and_o a_o new_a man_n which_o be_v know_v in_o the_o light_n and_o their_o several_a birth_n and_o their_o several_a nature_n and_o kindred_n according_a to_o that_o whereof_o they_o be_v bear_v that_o which_o be_v bear_v of_o the_o earth_n be_v earthly_a fleshly_a carnal_a and_o corrupt_v and_o this_o be_v the_o state_n of_o the_o old_a man_n and_o all_o that_o be_v in_o that_o state_n be_v fall_v from_o god_n and_o his_o covenant_n and_o be_v in_o the_o curse_n and_o whole_o blind_a in_o heart_n as_o touch_v the_o mystery_n of_o god_n yet_o in_o the_o sensual_a wisdom_n of_o the_o flesh_n make_v profession_n of_o god_n and_o his_o gospel_n but_o be_v heart-blind_a neither_o know_v god_n nor_o his_o power_n but_o be_v alienate_v from_o the_o life_n of_o god_n and_o lead_v captive_a in_o the_o dark_a at_o his_o will_n who_o be_v the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n and_o what_o ever_o he_o do_v be_v curse_v in_o this_o state_n and_o in_o this_o state_n do_v cain_n sacrifice_n but_o can_v not_o be_v accept_v for_o he_o be_v out_o of_o the_o state_n of_o well-doing_n or_o well-being_n yet_o will_v have_v be_v accept_v and_o in_o this_o state_n esau_n seek_v the_o blessing_n and_o weep_v for_o be_v do_v away_o and_o they_o be_v not_o under_o any_o ministration_n of_o law_n but_o under_o grace_n and_o so_o by_o their_o faith_n make_v void_a the_o law_n not_o know_v what_o they_o say_v herein_o and_o this_o be_v all_o such_o know_v either_o of_o law_n or_o gospel_n who_o in_o their_o wisdom_n and_o prudence_n read_v the_o letter_n and_o from_o thence_o imagine_v what_o be_v law_n and_o what_o be_v grace_n not_o have_v that_o spirit_n by_o which_o they_o be_v minister_v to_o the_o saint_n and_o by_o they_o receive_v who_o have_v the_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n and_o grace_n there_o also_o and_o such_o do_v know_v that_o the_o one_o of_o these_o do_v not_o make_v void_a the_o other_o but_o establish_v the_o other_o for_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o to_o make_v it_o be_v write_v in_o the_o heart_n by_o the_o live_a god_n and_o he_o be_v so_o far_o from_o destroy_v or_o take_v away_o the_o law_n that_o he_o declare_v it_o in_o its_o force_n and_o purity_n say_v that_o one_o jot_n or_o tittle_n shall_v not_o pass_v till_o it_o be_v fulfil_v and_o whereas_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o letter_n thou_o shall_v not_o commit_v adultery_n say_v he_o thou_o shall_v not_o lust_n in_o the_o letter_n it_o be_v say_v thou_o shall_v not_o swear_v false_o but_o in_o the_o spirit_n he_o say_v swear_v not_o at_o all_o in_o the_o letter_n thou_o shall_v not_o kill_v but_o in_o the_o spirit_n thou_o shall_v not_o be_v angry_a and_o whosoever_o do_v any_o of_o these_o thing_n be_v guilty_a before_o god_n and_o this_o be_v far_o from_o make_v it_o void_v which_o declare_v it_o in_o its_o purity_n so_o as_o they_o who_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v clear_a in_o the_o letter_n may_v be_v find_v guilty_a in_o the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o by_o christ_n jesus_n who_o be_v the_o end_n of_o that_o law_n they_o may_v come_v to_o see_v their_o condemnation_n and_o by_o faith_n in_o he_o become_v set_v free_a not_o by_o the_o blood_n of_o bull_n and_o goat_n and_o the_o ash_n of_o a_o heifer_n and_o carnal_a sacrifice_n oracle_n temple_n or_o altar_n or_o day_n or_o sabbath_n without_o in_o the_o letter_n but_o by_o all_o these_o in_o spirit_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n minister_v to_o the_o soul_n and_o conscience_n to_o wash_v away_o sin_n and_o purge_v the_o conscience_n from_o dead_a work_n to_o serve_v the_o live_a god_n which_o the_o ministration_n of_o the_o letter_n and_o carnal_a ordinance_n can_v not_o do_v and_o for_o this_o cause_n be_v the_o ministration_n of_o the_o letter_n do_v away_o because_o it_o can_v not_o make_v perfect_a the_o comer_n thereto_o as_o pertain_v to_o the_o conscience_n and_o the_o ministration_n of_o the_o spirit_n preach_v in_o its_o steed_n which_o give_v perfect_a knowledge_n of_o sin_n and_o perfect_a redemption_n from_o it_o and_o from_o all_o thing_n from_o which_o the_o law_n without_o can_v not_o and_o the_o same_o spirit_n do_v testify_v it_o perfect_o in_o the_o conscience_n which_o the_o letter_n can_v though_o the_o letter_n may_v show_v a_o man_n his_o condemnation_n yet_o it_o can_v give_v life_n it_o can_v show_v the_o duty_n but_o not_o give_v power_n to_o perform_v it_o so_o the_o letter_n kill_v but_o the_o spirit_n give_v life_n and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o all_o you_o who_o read_v your_o duty_n in_o the_o letter_n but_o want_v power_n to_o perform_v what_o you_o read_v you_o set_v up_o your_o imagination_n instead_o of_o performance_n and_o some_o say_v the_o law_n be_v do_v away_o and_o none_o now_o shall_v be_v condemn_v by_o it_o other_o say_v christ_n fulfil_v it_o in_o his_o own_o person_n and_o to_o believe_v what_o he_o do_v sixteen_o hundred_o year_n since_o be_v all_o we_o need_v to_o do_v other_o say_v nay_o but_o we_o must_v do_v what_o we_o can_v of_o what_o the_o scripture_n command_n and_o he_o will_v do_v the_o rest_n with_o his_o father_n other_o say_v that_o what_o we_o do_v he_o make_v it_o accept_v which_o the_o father_n as_o though_o we_o do_v perform_v all_o that_o be_v require_v but_o none_o in_o that_o state_n know_v his_o command_n in_o spirit_n which_o give_v life_n and_o power_n to_o perform_v what_o be_v command_v in_o spirit_n which_o none_o know_v who_o read_v what_o other_o do_v but_o want_v their_o spirit_n and_o power_n to_o perform_v the_o same_o this_o be_v the_o self_n righteousness_n and_o be_v the_o self_n righteousness_n which_o be_v by_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o law_n taken-on_a without_o the_o spirit_n of_o life_n which_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o here_o be_v the_o weakness_n of_o the_o law_n taken-on_a through_o the_o flesh_n but_o the_o power_n of_o the_o law_n to_o such_o as_o receive_v it_o in_o spirit_n and_o life_n for_o the_o law_n be_v fulfil_v in_o spirit_n and_o not_o in_o the_o letter_n and_o so_o in_o christ_n and_o not_o in_o self_n and_o so_o by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o work_n even_o by_o the_o everlasting_a righteousness_n of_o god_n free_o give_v and_o receive_v by_o faith_n and_o reveal_v in_o the_o creature_n from_o faith_n to_o faith_n in_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v and_o not_o by_o work_n of_o the_o law_n which_o the_o creature_n see_v in_o the_o letter_n and_o set_v themselves_o a_o do_v who_o be_v carnal_a and_o sell_v under_o sin_n not_o quicken_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o righteousness_n for_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o law_n give_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n but_o the_o law_n in_o the_o spirit_n give_v not_o only_o the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n he_o knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o his_o righteousness_n in_o christ_n jesus_n for_o fulfil_v the_o law_n which_o be_v life_n eternal_a according_a to_o his_o promise_n i_o will_v write_v my_o law_n in_o your_o heart_n and_o put_v it_o in_o your_o inward_a part_n and_o you_o shall_v all_o know_v i_o from_o the_o great_a to_o the_o least_o so_o the_o letter_n kill_v but_o the_o spirit_n give_v life_n so_o all_o you_o who_o read_v the_o command_n in_o the_o letter_n without_o from_o thence_o you_o may_v fetch_v your_o own_o condemnation_n but_o from_o thence_o can_v you_o not_o fetch_v power_n for_o obedience_n to_o justification_n of_o life_n from_o within_o be_v the_o life_n in_o spirit_n and_o not_o in_o the_o letter_n and_o here_o be_v change_v of_o the_o law_n to_o that_o which_o be_v spiritual_a the_o preisthood_n spiritual_a the_o temple_n spiritual_a the_o altar_n the_o circumcision_n the_o offering_n the_o blood_n the_o oracle_n the_o anoint_v the_o wash_n and_o the_o whole_a worship_n which_o be_v without_o and_o can_v make_v nothing_o perfect_a be_v become_v spiritual_a and_o within_o which_o be_v the_o better_a hope_n be_v more_o pure_a than_o that_o without_o can_v be_v and_o so_o more_o perfect_a even_o as_o he_o be_v perfect_a now_o the_o law_n be_v add_v because_o of_o transgression_n till_o the_o promise_a seed_n shall_v come_v of_o who_o it_o be_v prophesy_v in_o type_n and_o figure_n which_o seed_n be_v christ_n the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n to_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v without_o respect_n of_o person_n and_o so_o it_o be_v in_o the_o spirit_n a_o law_n have_v god_n write_v in_o the_o heart_n whereby_o the_o transgressor_n be_v condemn_v in_o his_o own_o conscience_n and_o this_o law_n be_v upon_o the_o first_o man_n who_o be_v the_o transgressor_n and_o have_v power_n over_o that_o man_n as_o long_o as_o he_o live_v judge_v reprove_v and_o condemn_v and_o prophesy_v of_o one_o that_o be_v to_o come_v to_o fulfil_v the_o law_n in_o every_o one_o who_o mind_v the_o light_n and_o so_o be_v as_o a_o scool-master_n to_o bring_v to_o christ_n and_o till_o he_o come_v to_o fulfil_v it_o who_o be_v the_o end_n of_o it_o there_o be_v condemnation_n upon_o the_o creature_n because_o the_o pure_a law_n of_o god_n be_v break_v and_o this_o be_v testify_v by_o the_o light_n in_o the_o conscience_n a_o witness_n against_o the_o first_o man_n and_o his_o deed_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o perfect_a law_n of_o god_n and_o so_o by_o that_o which_o perfect_a be_v he_o condemn_v who_o be_v imperfect_a where_o the_o image_n of_o god_n be_v lose_v and_o the_o seed_n lie_v in_o death_n because_o of_o trespass_n and_o sin_n for_o god_n do_v not_o give_v a_o law_n to_o condemn_v his_o own_o work_n but_o the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o where_o
