in_o god_n by_o the_o effectual_a revelation_n of_o the_o word_n next_o mark_v that_o other_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n after_o we_o have_v believe_v in_o seal_v us._n the_o first_o of_o these_o two_o although_o it_o be_v feel_v by_o we_o yet_o at_o the_o first_o we_o can_v not_o discern_v it_o to_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n till_o afterward_o for_o before_o we_o be_v make_v spiritual_a we_o can_v discern_v nothing_o of_o the_o spirit_n because_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v spiritual_o discern_v 2._o but_o when_o we_o receyve_v the_o spirit_n which_o be_v of_o god_n then_o be_v we_o able_a to_o know_v the_o thing_n which_o be_v give_v to_o we_o of_o god_n therefore_o that_o testimony_n whereof_o the_o apostle_n speak_v to_o the_o rom._n which_o witness_v witness_n that_o we_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n for_o when_o god_n by_o his_o spirit_n have_v imprint_v in_o our_o heart_n the_o word_n of_o promise_n then_o begin_v our_o heart_n to_o say_v we_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v persuade_v by_o the_o spirit_n secret_o insinuate_v the_o word_n in_o our_o heart_n to_o believe_v 10._o &_o believe_v to_o speak_v 13._o according_a as_o it_o be_v say_v i_o beleve_v &_o therefore_o do_v speak_v now_o it_o may_v seem_v there_o need_v no_o more_o but_o let_v we_o remember_v what_o christ_n say_v to_o peter_n 31._o simon_n simon_n behold_v satan_n have_v desire_v to_o sift_v you_o as_o wheat_n but_o i_o have_v pray_v for_o thou_o that_o thy_o faith_n fail_v not_o so_o we_o have_v need_v that_o our_o heart_n be_v establish_v in_o that_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n otherways_o we_o shall_v be_v in_o danger_n to_o make_v shipwreck_n of_o faith_n &_o of_o a_o good_a conscience_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o this_o testimony_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n therefore_o do_v the_o church_n pray_v in_o the_o psalm_n 28._o establish_v o_o god_n that_o which_o thou_o have_v wrought_v in_o us._n and_o the_o apostle_n after_o he_o have_v give_v thanks_n unto_o god_n for_o the_o thessalonian_n effectual_a calling_n he_o pray_v to_o god_n that_o he_o who_o have_v give_v they_o this_o good_a hope_n through_o grace_n will_v also_o establish_v they_o in_o every_o word_n and_o good_a work_n therefore_o be_v it_o that_o our_o god_n for_o stablish_v we_o in_o faith_n &_o in_o the_o assurance_n of_o our_o adoption_n seal_v we_o by_o the_o never_o can_v the_o hart_n of_o a_o man_n speak_v one_o word_n of_o mercy_n to_o he_o nor_o of_o adoption_n till_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v speak_v first_o mercy_n to_o it_o now_o when_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n have_v speak_v and_o give_v testimony_n to_o he_o of_o his_o election_n he●_n the_o lord_n for_o establish_v the_o heart_n in_o this_o and_o confirm_v man_n in_o the_o testimony_n consider_v that_o albeit_o our_o own_o heart_n have_v in_o they_o a_o power_n to_o witness_v unto_o we_o what_o we_o be_v both_o by_o nature_n and_o by_o grace_n yet_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o heart_n touch_v our_o estate_n by_o grace_n be_v not_o so_o full_o and_o confident_o to_o be_v repose_v upon_o and_o trust_v as_o the_o testimony_n thereof_o touch_v our_o estate_n by_o nature_n for_o we_o may_v assure_o trust_v our_o heart_n and_o conscience_n 21._o when_o upon_o any_o guiltiness_n they_o condemn_v we_o see_v he_o be_v curse_v who_o abide_v not_o in_o every_o jo●_n of_o the_o law_n to_o fulfil_v it_o 10._o &_o he_o that_o transgress_v one_o commandment_n 10._o be_v guilty_a of_o all_o but_o we_o be_v not_o always_o to_o give_v absolute_a credit_n to_o our_o conscience_n when_o upon_o conceit_n of_o innocence_n they_o justify_v us._n for_o although_o our_o conscience_n accuse_v we_o of_o nothing_o yet_o thereby_o we_o be_v not_o justify_v as_o be_v plain_a by_o the_o say_n of_o the_o apost_n touch_v himself_o 1._o cor._n 4._o 4._o the_o reason_n hereof_o be_v because_o our_o conscience_n do_v not_o so_o cleerlie_o see_v our_o estate_n which_o be_v from_o god_n neither_o can_v they_o of_o themselves_o so_o true_o judge_v of_o it_o as_o they_o may_v do_v of_o their_o estate_n by_o nature_n when_o they_o be_v illuminate_v by_o god_n for_o than_o they_o be_v make_v to_o know_v and_o clear_o to_o see_v that_o in_o we_o there_o be_v no_o goodness_n and_o therefore_o there_o be_v just_a reason_n why_o they_o shall_v condemn_v us._n and_o we_o be_v very_o to_o believe_v our_o heart_n upon_o this_o sight_n and_o knowledge_n condempn_v us._n but_o on_o the_o other_o part_n although_o we_o see_v the_o mind_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o in_o christ_n yet_o we_o can_v not_o so_o thorough_o apprehend_v his_o promise_n upon_o any_o sight_n we_o receive_v that_o we_o there_fw-mi trust_v our_o felicity_n absolute_o to_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n first_o because_o our_o heart_n may_v be_v deceyve_v as_o be_v evident_a by_o scripture_n that_o many_o shall_v be_v second_o because_o we_o may_v mistake_v the_o work_n of_o god_n in_o we_o and_o lie_v hold_v on_o a_o wrong_a ground_n thirdlie_o because_o our_o heart_n be_v more_o prone_a to_o speak_v good_a nor_o evil_a of_o ourselves_o even_o when_o they_o have_v never_o so_o small_a occsion_n to_o do_v so_o and_o when_o they_o have_v much_o more_o occasion_n to_o do_v the_o contrary_n and_o last_o because_o all_o man_n be_v liar_n &_o only_a god_n be_v true_a and_o therefore_o we_o must_v never_o give_v so_o much_o credit_n to_o our_o conscience_n speak_v good_a of_o we_o as_o when_o they_o speak_v evil_a special_o when_o the_o question_n be_v of_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n or_o not_o so_o that_o even_o when_o they_o witness_v that_o we_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n we_o be_v not_o to_o rest_v hereupon_o except_o god_n who_o only_o know_v who_o he_o have_v choose_v do_v by_o his_o spirit_n confirm_v the_o testimony_n of_o our_o spirit_n for_o we_o may_v much_o more_o sure_o trust_v our_o heart_n in_o that_o which_o be_v in_o ourselves_o and_o from_o ourselves_o then_o in_o that_o which_o be_v neither_o from_o our_o self_n nor_o in_o ourselves_o but_o be_v the_o free_a gift_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n therefore_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v deceyve_v by_o our_o deceitful_a heart_n god_n secound_v our_o own_o testimony_n touch_v his_o take_n of_o we_o for_o his_o child_n by_o his_o spirit_n witnessinge_v the_o same_o even_o as_o by_o his_o own_o mouth_n confirm_v our_o adoption_n for_o by_o the_o mouth_n of_o two_o or_o three_o witness_n shall_v every_o word_n be_v establish_v thus_o i_o have_v show_v you_o what_o be_v the_o spirit_n testimony_n &_o
