though_o then_o we_o feel_v they_o not_o will_v pain_v we_o in_o the_o decay_n of_o our_o strength_n in_o our_o decline_a year_n so_o the_o blow_n and_o bruise_n give_v the_o soul_n by_o sin_n in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o jollity_n and_o prosperity_n will_v most_o grievous_o torment_v we_o when_o by_o sickness_n fear_v of_o death_n or_o other_o calamity_n our_o wont_a mirth_n and_o transitory_a contentment_n shall_v be_v eclipse_v then_o as_o the_o carcase_n of_o he_o that_o be_v slay_v though_o it_o seem_v stark_o and_o stiff_a be_v say_v to_o bleed_v afresh_o at_o the_o presence_n of_o which_o be_v drink_v at_o the_o feast_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n this_o be_v no_o superficial_a matter_n but_o root_v in_o the_o very_a centre_n of_o the_o soul_n whereas_o your_o wine-mirth_n be_v but_o the_o smother_n sometime_o if_o not_o drown_v of_o a_o deep_a grief_n like_o the_o lustick_a fit_n in_o some_o country_n of_o such_o as_o be_v go_v to_o execution_n 6._o give_v strong_a he_o feel_v the_o pressure_n of_o his_o burden_n still_o some_o while_n after_o it_o be_v take_v off_o his_o back_n so_o be_v the_o ease_n here_o the_o pain_n of_o the_o soul_n will_v not_o present_o cease_v when_o christ_n have_v take_v off_o our_o sin_n nor_o will_v the_o joy_n and_o comfort_n of_o our_o pardon_n be_v so_o soon_o find_v as_o our_o pardon_n be_v obtain_v let_v this_o then_o be_v the_o first_o observation_n that_o as_o those_o only_o be_v justify_v and_o discharge_v of_o their_o sin_n by_o remission_n who_o flee_v unto_o christ_n by_o faith_n so_o only_o those_o have_v promise_n of_o rest_n and_o peace_n of_o conscience_n who_o take_v his_o yoke_n upon_o they_o and_o be_v as_o he_o be_v meek_a and_o lowly_a stoop_v unto_o god_n and_o submit_v their_o life_n unto_o his_o commandment_n be_v thou_o heavy-laden_a and_o will_v thou_o be_v discharge_v of_o thy_o sin_n go_v unto_o christ_n and_o he_o will_v ease_v thou_o will_v thou_o know_v thy_o sin_n be_v acquit_v long_o as_o the_o whoredom_n of_o thy_o mother_n jezebel_n and_o her_o witchcraft_n be_v so_o many_o so_o say_v god_n to_o all_o such_o who_o life_n and_o conversation_n be_v unreformed_a what_o peace_n can_v be_v unto_o thy_o soul_n so_o long_o as_o contempt_n of_o his_o worship_n extortion_n defraud_v of_o thy_o neighbour_n covetousness_n drunkenness_n backwardness_n to_o all_o good_a duty_n reign_v still_o within_o thou_o if_o thou_o will_v have_v peace_n in_o thy_o soul_n if_o thou_o will_v have_v the_o wring_v torment_n of_o a_o trouble_a conscience_n to_o be_v calm_v within_o thou_o if_o thou_o will_v find_v out_o that_o peace_n of_o god_n which_o pass_v all_o understanding_n 7._o let_v thy_o whole_a life_n and_o conversation_n as_o far_o as_o thou_o be_v able_a be_v rule_v by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n wear_v that_o yoke_n which_o christ_n thy_o saviour_n have_v make_v so_o easy_a learn_v of_o he_o to_o be_v meek_a and_o lowly_a and_o thou_o shall_v find_v rest_n unto_o thy_o soul._n but_o some_o perhaps_o will_v say_v what_o need_v so_o much_o preciseness_n and_o strictness_n of_o life_n for_o my_o part_n i_o do_v as_o other_o man_n do_v i_o can_v dispense_v soul_n the_o most_o hopeless_a and_o this_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o a_o customary_a violation_n of_o the_o conscience_n which_o be_v often_o bruise_v scratch_v at_o first_o with_o small_a sin_n and_o at_o length_n rend_v and_o tear_v with_o great_a contract_v one_o scar_n and_o brawn_n all_o over_o and_o so_o become_v senseless_a and_o unfeeling_a how_o dreadful_a therefore_o be_v it_o if_o man_n
speech_n and_o gesture_n and_o their_o outward_a seem_n be_v so_o that_o in_o their_o heart_n they_o condemn_v and_o abhor_v such_o sinful_a action_n as_o outward_o they_o seem_v to_o approve_v this_o be_v the_o opinion_n of_o too-too_o many_o but_o let_v we_o hear_v what_o our_o saviour_n christ_n say_v he_o that_o deny_v i_o before_o man_n 33._o he_o will_v i_o deny_v before_o my_o father_n
