they_o must_v perish_v now_o god_n will_v not_o afford_v these_o person_n that_o so_o fall_v away_o the_o assistance_n of_o his_o spirit_n in_o order_n to_o the_o work_v the_o great_a work_n of_o faith_n in_o they_o therefore_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o they_o to_o be_v renew_v he_o say_v not_o say_v one_o dickson_n it_o be_v impossible_a they_o shall_v be_v save_v but_o that_o it_o be_v who_o sit_v under_o the_o preach_a of_o the_o gospel_n no_o doubt_n sin_n against_o the_o spirit_n whilst_o they_o resist_v the_o strive_n and_o motion_n thereof_o 4._o it_o be_v not_o any_o heinous_a great_a evil_a this_o be_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o sinner_n himself_o that_o do_v neglect_v it_o but_o before_o i_o proceed_v to_o speak_v to_o this_o let_v i_o premise_v one_o thing_n namely_o that_o we_o ought_v first_o to_o be_v sensible_a of_o that_o evil_n which_o be_v in_o this_o and_o in_o all_o sin_n as_o it_o be_v against_o god_n for_o if_o our_o conviction_n arise_v not_o from_o hence_o our_o trouble_n be_v not_o right_a it_o flow_v not_o from_o a_o true_a spring_n or_o right_a principle_n it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o see_v our_o sin_n and_o evil_a as_o it_o be_v against_o ourselves_o as_o it_o hurt_v and_o wound_n our_o own_o soul_n but_o chief_o as_o it_o be_v against_o that_o god_n that_o make_v we_o and_o send_v his_o son_n to_o redeem_v we_o or_o as_o sin_n be_v loathsome_a and_o abominable_a in_o his_o sight_n tend_v to_o eclipse_v his_o glory_n nay_o to_o dethrone_v he_o and_o frustrate_v his_o gracious_a design_n in_o our_o redemption_n and_o power_n to_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v but_o not_o to_o they_o that_o reject_v christ_n and_o believe_v not_o 3._o faith_n unite_v to_o a_o holy_a god_n and_o to_o a_o spotless_a saviour_n whereby_o we_o come_v to_o have_v a_o righteousness_n which_o discharge_v we_o from_o all_o sin_n and_o wrath_n due_a to_o it_o and_o such_o be_v make_v holy_a but_o unbelief_n continue_v the_o soul_n in_o its_o old_a stae_fw-la as_o be_v unite_v to_o the_o old_a adam_n condemn_v adam_n all_o man_n be_v in_o the_o first_o or_o second_o adam_n in_o the_o dead_a or_o live_a adam_n and_o as_o be_v the_o dead_a adam_n so_o be_v they_o that_o be_v in_o he_o they_o be_v dead_a and_o by_o the_o law_n condemn_v therefore_o not_o justify_v and_o as_o be_v the_o live_n so_o be_v they_o that_o be_v make_v alive_a they_o live_v and_o be_v acquit_v and_o can_v die_v spiritual_o no_o more_o 4._o this_o sin_n this_o neglect_n be_v against_o a_o man_n own_o life_n and_o happiness_n life_n be_v to_o their_o wound_a soul_n 9_o be_v it_o not_o a_o evil_a and_o hurtful_a thing_n for_o a_o man_n to_o yield_v himself_o up_o to_o the_o counsel_n and_o conduct_v of_o a_o swear_v cruel_a and_o and_o his_o angel_n if_o the_o righteous_a scarce_o be_v save_v where_o shall_v 18._o the_o ungodly_a and_o sinner_n appear_v they_o will_v not_o be_v able_a to_o stand_v in_o the_o judgement_n o_o what_o dread_a and_o horror_n will_v then_o seize_v upon_o they_o they_o that_o give_v the_o great_a diligence_n take_v the_o great_a care_n about_o the_o salvation_n of_o their_o so_o 〈◊〉_d be_v save_v with_o much_o difficulty_n it_o be_v a_o narrow_a way_n and_o a_o strait_a gaâ—e_n that_o lead_v to_o life_n through_o much_o tribulation_n and_o temptation_n we_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o if_o this_o â—e_n so_o what_o will_v become_v of_o they_o in_o the_o great_a day_n that_o have_v whole_o neglect_v this_o great_a salvation_n if_o the_o righteous_a be_v scarce_o save_v the_o wicked_a shall_v certain_o perish_v and_o be_v damn_v quest_n what_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o that_o wrath_n which_o none_o of_o they_o that_o neglect_v this_o salvation_n shall_v escape_v answ_n i_o answer_v it_o be_v great_a wrath_n wrath_n proportion_v according_a escape_v to_o the_o greatness_n of_o their_o sin_n as_o the_o salvation_n â—â—ighted_v be_v great_a salvation_n so_o the_o wrath_n that_o such_o shall_v bear_v will_v be_v great_a wrath._n 1._o it_o be_v incense_v wrath_n therefore_o great_a wrath_n such_o wrath_n that_o have_v be_v long_o a_o kindle_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n for_o the_o abuse_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o infinite_a goodness_n 2._o it_o be_v intolerable_a wrath_n therefore_o great_a wrath_n the_o torment_n of_o the_o heathen_a that_o never_o hear_v of_o this_o salvation_n shall_v be_v more_o tolerable_a more_o easy_a to_o bear_v than_o the_o wrath_n which_o be_v pour_v out_o in_o hell_n upon_o such_o that_o neglect_v the_o salvation_n wrought_v by_o jesus_n christ_n nay_o it_o shall_v be_v more_o tolerable_a for_o sodom_n and_o gomorrah_n in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n than_o for_o they_o 3._o it_o be_v infinite_a wrath._n who_o know_v the_o power_n of_o thy_o anger_n even_o 11._o according_a to_o thy_o fear_n so_o be_v thy_o wrath_n it_o bear_v full_a proportion_n to_o the_o fear_n of_o it_o nay_o who_o be_v able_a to_o arrive_v to_o the_o full_a sense_n fear_v and_o apprehension_n of_o god_n infinite_a
