dead_a so_o now_o that_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o the_o law_n but_o to_o christ_n our_o lord_n see_v that_o through_o he_o we_o be_v dead_a to_o sin_n and_o to_o the_o law_n and_o so_o join_v to_o christ_n that_o we_o may_v bring_v forth_o fruit_n in_o he_o from_o a_o willing_a godliness_n and_o not_o by_o the_o compulsion_n of_o law_n whereby_o our_o sin_n be_v more_o excite_v and_o become_v more_o violent_a what_o therefore_o the_o holy_a spirit_n here_o speak_v of_o matrimony_n can_v be_v extend_v beyond_o the_o general_a rule_n beside_o it_o be_v manifest_a that_o the_o apostle_n do_v allege_v the_o law_n of_o wedlock_n as_o it_o be_v deliver_v to_o the_o jew_n for_o say_v he_o i_o speak_v to_o they_o that_o know_v the_o law_n they_o know_v no_o law_n of_o god_n but_o that_o by_o ezra_n cause_v the_o misbelieve_a wife_n and_o husband_n to_o be_v divorce_v that_o god_n may_v be_v appease_v and_o not_o effend_v though_o they_o take_v other_o of_o their_o own_o faith_n how_o much_o more_o shall_v it_o be_v free_a if_o the_o misbeleever_n depart_v to_o marry_v one_o of_o our_o own_o religion_n for_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v count_v matrimony_n which_o be_v against_o the_o law_n of_o god_n two_o thing_n be_v here_o to_o be_v observe_v towards_o the_o follow_a discourse_n which_o truth_n itself_o and_o the_o force_n of_o god_n word_n have_v draw_v from_o this_o holy_a man_n for_o those_o word_n be_v very_o large_a matrimony_n be_v not_o ratify_v without_o devotion_n to_o god_n and_o the_o dishonour_n of_o the_o creator_n dissolu_v the_o right_a of_o matrimony_n for_o devotion_n be_v far_o off_o and_o dishonour_n be_v do_v to_o god_n by_o all_o who_o persist_v in_o any_o wickedness_n and_o heinous_a crime_n chap._n xxxvi_o that_o although_o it_o seem_v in_o the_o gospel_n as_o if_o our_o saviour_n grant_v divorce_v only_o for_o adultery_n yet_o in_o very_a deed_n he_o grant_v it_o for_o other_o cause_n also_o now_o be_v to_o be_v deal_v with_o this_o question_n whether_o it_o be_v lawful_a to_o divorce_v and_o marry_v again_o for_o other_o cause_n beside_o adultery_n since_o our_o saviour_n express_v that_o only_o to_o this_o question_n if_o we_o retain_v our_o principle_n already_o lay_v and_o must_v acknowledge_v it_o to_o be_v a_o curse_a blasphemy_n if_o we_o say_v that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n do_v contradict_v one_o another_o of_o necessity_n we_o must_v confess_v that_o our_o lord_n do_v grant_v divorce_n and_o marriage_n after_o that_o for_o other_o cause_n beside_o adultery_n notwithstanding_o what_o he_o say_v in_o matthew_n for_o first_o they_o who_o consider_v but_o only_o that_o place_n 1_o cor._n 7._o which_o treat_v of_o believer_n and_o misbeliever_n match_v together_o must_v of_o force_n confess_v that_o our_o lord_n grant_v just_a divorce_n and_o second_o marriage_n in_o the_o cause_n of_o desertion_n which_o be_v other_o than_o the_o cause_n of_o fornication_n and_o if_o there_o be_v one_o other_o cause_n find_v lawful_a then_o be_v it_o most_o true_a that_o divorce_n be_v grant_v not_o only_o for_o fornication_n next_o it_o can_v be_v doubt_v
