you_o many_o time_n i_o mean_v many_o head_n of_o family_n rather_o ruin_v they_o by_o live_v without_o knowledge_n and_o without_o conscience_n yourselves_o oh_o consider_v this_o and_o acquaint_v yourselves_o with_o god_n and_o with_o jesus_n christ_n that_o you_o may_v be_v able_a to_o acquaint_v all_o commit_v to_o your_o nurture_n with_o the_o fame_n god_n and_o with_o the_o same_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n the_o know_v of_o who_o be_v the_o excellency_n of_o knowledge_n second_o a_o word_n to_o man_n of_o care_n but_o of_o very_o little_a care_n in_o this_o thing_n i_o grant_v you_o use_v prayer_n and_o you_o read_v sermon-note_n sometime_o and_o the_o scripture_n themselves_o among_o your_o people_n at_o home_n but_o how_o often_o and_o how_o earnest_o be_v that_o exercise_n alas_o once_o it_o may_v be_v on_o the_o lord_n day_n and_o then_o no_o great_a regard_n have_v how_o they_o profit_n or_o whether_o they_o profit_v or_o no_o so_o that_o something_o be_v do_v though_o nothing_o come_v by_o it_o by_o way_n of_o benefit_n to_o their_o soul_n it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a weakness_n in_o many_o great_a professor_n of_o religion_n who_o will_v pray_v and_o beg_v of_o god_n strong_o upon_o their_o knee_n for_o light_n knowledge_n grace_n and_o holiness_n to_o be_v give_v to_o their_o dear_a child_n and_o to_o their_o servant_n and_o yet_o these_o very_a person_n will_v contribute_v little_a or_o nothing_o beside_o good_a wish_n towards_o the_o conversion_n and_o welfare_n of_o soul_n that_o by_o their_o importunate_a supplication_n seem_v to_o be_v precious_a in_o their_o eye_n if_o pray_v be_v all_o you_o have_v to_o do_v for_o your_o family_n what_o mean_v then_o those_o many_o scripture_n that_o command_v the_o do_v of_o many_o other_o duty_n beside_o pray_v with_o and_o pray_v for_o your_o people_n and_o if_o prayer_n only_o be_v not_o enough_o why_o do_v you_o only_o pray_v indeed_o it_o be_v well_o do_v to_o wish_v well_o to_o they_o that_o dwell_v with_o you_o though_o it_o be_v part_n it_o be_v the_o least_o part_n of_o your_o duty_n do_v not_o the_o lord_n look_v for_o much_o more_o from_o you_o do_v he_o not_o charge_v father_n and_o mother_n and_o master_n to_o instruct_v rebuke_n correct_v their_o child_n and_o servant_n and_o to_o call_v they_o to_o account_v concern_v their_o profit_v in_o gospel_n knowledge_n i_o be_o confident_a the_o carelessness_n of_o you_o in_o these_o thing_n be_v that_o which_o render_v preach_v so_o
