able_a christian_n who_o have_v do_v most_o for_o god_n have_v sometime_o be_v very_o defective_a in_o the_o act_n of_o obedience_n that_o they_o can_v not_o do_v what_o they_o will_v do_v for_o god_n sad_a temper_n it_o be_v a_o very_a great_a hindrance_n to_o this_o grace_n of_o assurance_n this_o i_o lay_v down_o only_o as_o a_o natural_a remedy_n second_o a_o mind_n fill_v with_o worldly_a care_n and_o run_v into_o encumber_v employment_n in_o the_o world_n this_o be_v a_o great_a hindrance_n of_o assurance_n the_o care_n of_o this_o life_n mat._n 13.15_o be_v compare_v to_o thorn_n you_o can_v have_v the_o juice_n of_o your_o spirit_n in_o gather_v your_o evidence_n for_o heaven_n the_o more_o encumber_v you_o be_v in_o the_o world_n the_o less_o clear_a you_o will_v be_v touch_v the_o evidence_n of_o your_o everlasting_a condition_n the_o care_n of_o this_o life_n they_o pierce_v the_o soul_n through_o with_o many_o sorrow_n now_o when_o a_o man_n be_v pierce_v with_o many_o sorrow_n he_o be_v in_o a_o very_a unfit_a temper_n to_o be_v raise_v up_o in_o spiritual_a joy_n the_o more_o you_o encumber_v yourselves_o in_o the_o employment_n of_o this_o world_n the_o and_o see_v your_o sin_n you_o repent_v and_o rise_v again_o though_o you_o do_v fall_v in_o this_o way_n it_o will_v be_v no_o prejudice_n to_o your_o election_n three_o fall_v into_o sin_n after_o call_v and_o profession_n make_v of_o jesus_n christ_n may_v be_v consistent_a with_o election_n in_o these_o four_o case_n first_o if_o the_o sin_n you_o fall_v into_o be_v clear_o discern_v second_o if_o they_o be_v sensible_o bewail_v three_o if_o they_o be_v strong_o resist_v and_o last_o if_o they_o be_v daily_o labour_v and_o pray_v against_o though_o you_o do_v fall_v into_o sin_n yet_o in_o these_o case_n sin_n will_v not_o be_v damn_v to_o you_o or_o be_v a_o impediment_n to_o your_o election_n and_o thus_o i_o have_v do_v with_o the_o second_o case_n of_o conscience_n only_o let_v i_o urge_v this_o one_o thing_n before_o i_o leave_v it_o for_o i_o will_v not_o have_v you_o make_v this_o doctrine_n a_o doctrine_n of_o liberty_n but_o i_o will_v have_v you_o lay_v this_o to_o heart_n that_o if_o any_o of_o you_o do_v fall_v foul_o after_o conversion_n believe_v it_o god_n will_v make_v you_o smart_n for_o this_o though_o not_o in_o hell_n yet_o you_o shall_v have_v a_o hell_n in_o your_o conscience_n you_o shall_v have_v the_o very_a pregustation_n of_o hell_n a_o wound_a conscience_n and_o god_n will_v expect_v deep_a humiliation_n and_o great_a repentance_n if_o you_o sin_n after_o profession_n make_v of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o may_v have_v that_o influence_n upon_o you_o as_o upon_o david_n who_o cry_v out_o i_o have_v no_o quietness_n in_o my_o bone_n by_o reason_n of_o my_o sin_n god_n will_v give_v you_o no_o rest_n night_n nor_o day_n by_o reason_n of_o sin_n if_o you_o run_v into_o it_o after_o profession_n make_v of_o jesus_n christ_n three_o man_n do_v doubt_n
though_o they_o want_v these_o poor_a outward_a comfort_n they_o do_v not_o want_v christ_n comfort_n and_o christ_n grace_n and_o therefore_o when_o they_o have_v neither_o purse_n scrip_n nor_o shoe_n they_o want_v nothing_o why_o o_o beloved_n if_o you_o be_v of_o the_o temper_n of_o these_o gracious_a disciple_n you_o will_v say_v so_o too_o that_o if_o you_o can_v find_v a_o ground_a and_o real_a interest_n in_o christ_n though_o you_o want_v many_o of_o the_o comfort_n of_o this_o world_n you_o will_v say_v you_o want_v nothing_o want_v you_o any_o thing_n and_o they_o say_v nothing_o 5._o you_o that_o make_v poverty_n and_o persecution_n a_o plea_n consider_v this_o that_o the_o poor_a be_v ordinary_o the_o most_o people_n that_o jesus_n christ_n do_v call_v to_o embrace_v his_o gospel_n the_o poor_a receive_v the_o gospel_n say_v christ_n and_o bless_v be_v you_o that_o be_v not_o offend_v at_o it_o not_o many_o wise_a not_o many_o noble_a be_v call_v but_o poverty_n but_o in_o neglect_v the_o call_v of_o christ_n you_o be_v expose_v to_o be_v poor_a in_o faith_n and_o to_o be_v such_o a_o beggar_n as_o not_o to_o be_v endow_v with_o one_o dram_n of_o grace_n and_o than_o you_o be_v beggar_n indeed_o as_o we_o say_v he_o be_v a_o poor_a man_n that_o god_n hate_v he_o that_o have_v not_o christ_n and_o have_v not_o the_o treasure_n of_o heaven_n in_o he_o he_o be_v expose_v to_o worse_a poverty_n a_o thousand_o time_n then_o he_o can_v be_v for_o embrace_v the_o call_v of_o jesus_n christ_n rev._n 3.17_o yea_o and_o he_o be_v expose_v to_o
