sign_n of_o our_o new_a life_n as_o baptism_n be_v of_o our_o new_a birth_n and_o therefore_o as_o we_o have_v need_n of_o often_o nourishment_n so_o we_o ought_v to_o receive_v often_o and_o that_o with_o due_a preparation_n q._n why_o be_v this_o sacrament_n call_v the_o lord_n supper_n a._n this_o sacrament_n be_v call_v the_o lord_n supper_n for_o these_o reason_n call_v first_o a_o supper_n partly_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o time_n when_o it_o be_v institute_v and_o celebrate_v which_o be_v in_o the_o evening_n before_o the_o day_n wherein_o christ_n be_v crucify_v partly_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o thing_n itself_o because_o it_o be_v a_o sacred_a feast_n or_o banquet_n appoint_v of_o god_n not_o for_o the_o body_n but_o for_o the_o soul_n and_o it_o be_v call_v the_o lord_n supper_n both_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o author_n who_o be_v the_o lord_n jesus_n himself_o as_o also_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o end_n which_o be_v in_o remembrance_n of_o he_o q._n what_o be_v the_o outward_a sign_n in_o the_o lord_n supper_n wine_n a._n the_o outward_a sign_n in_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n do_v consist_v of_o two_o element_n that_o be_v bread_n and_o wine_n for_o so_o our_o saviour_n do_v institute_v not_o one_o only_o but_o both_o to_o show_v that_o in_o he_o we_o have_v perfect_a nourishment_n unto_o eternal_a life_n and_o the_o better_a to_o express_v the_o give_v up_o of_o his_o body_n and_o the_o shed_n of_o his_o blood_n for_o we_o which_o either_o the_o bread_n alone_o or_o the_o wine_n alone_o can_v not_o present_v unto_o we_o in_o so_o lively_a manner_n again_o it_o be_v answerable_a to_o the_o type_n gen._n 14.18_o that_o as_o melchisedech_n so_o christ_n shall_v nourish_v and_o refresh_v his_o church_n with_o bread_n and_o wine_n
