righteousness_n of_o the_o phariseye_n who_o notwithstanding_o their_o glorious_a profession_n be_v notorious_a hypocrite_n the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o latter_a profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v brother_n be_v not_o to_o be_v restrain_v to_o they_o which_o be_v of_o base_a condition_n but_o be_v to_o be_v extend_v also_o to_o those_o who_o be_v of_o good_a calling_n be_v come_v behind_o better_a upon_o usury_n than_o not_o at_o all_o and_o
either_o of_o the_o poor_a as_o though_o it_o be_v commit_v against_o they_o alone_o or_o of_o the_o detain_v of_o a_o pledge_n as_o though_o usury_n be_v to_o be_v match_v therewith_o for_o it_o be_v match_v with_o murder_n idolatry_n incest_n and_o other_o such_o abomination_n neither_o that_o it_o be_v in_o this_o place_n so_o subject_v to_o oppression_n as_o a_o species_n thereof_o but_o general_o and_o simple_o it_o be_v condemn_v as_o a_o grievous_a abomination_n whereby_o the_o usurer_n provoke_v the_o vengeance_n of_o god_n not_o only_o against_o himself_o but_o also_o against_o the_o society_n wherein_o he_o do_v live_v and_o thus_o we_o see_v all_o usury_n or_o lend_v for_o gain_n by_o diverse_a testimony_n of_o scripture_n to_o be_v plain_o and_o manifest_o condemn_v of_o which_o doctrine_n the_o covetous_a worldling_n be_v apt_a to_o make_v this_o use_n if_o it_o be_v so_o that_o we_o may_v not_o by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n lend_v upon_o usury_n then_o sure_o we_o necessity_n many_o time_n be_v such_o that_o it_o be_v far_o better_a for_o he_o to_o borrow_v upon_o usury_n than_o not_o to_o borrow_v at_o all_o of_o the_o lender_n because_o to_o lend_v upon_o moderate_a usury_n to_o they_o that_o must_v needs_o borrow_v be_v a_o less_o sin_n than_o not_o to_o lend_v at_o all_o but_o as_o the_o afore_o cite_v place_n condemn_v the_o negative_a and_o forbid_v lend_v for_o gain_n so_o there_o be_v diverse_a manifest_a testimony_n of_o scripture_n enjoin_v the_o affirmative_a and_o command_v we_o to_o lend_v free_o and_o therefore_o as_o we_o be_v to_o abstain_v from_o usury_n because_o god_n forbid_v it_o so_o must_v we_o practice_v free_a loan_n because_o god_n command_v it_o these_o place_n because_o they_o be_v so_o many_o evidence_n against_o usury_n i_o will_v the_o rather_o recite_v and_o first_o that_o in_o deut._n 15_o where_o the_o lord_n have_v provide_v by_o law_n that_o in_o the_o seven_o year_n no_o debt_n shall_v be_v sin_v against_o his_o neighbour_n god_n himself_o against_o his_o neighbour_n for_o whereas_o there_o be_v two_o duty_n especial_o to_o be_v practise_v towards_o our_o neighbour_n that_o be_v to_o say_v justice_n and_o charity_n justice_n to_o give_v every_o man_n his_o own_o 5._o and_o charity_n not_o to_o seek_v our_o own_o but_o other_o man_n profit_n justice_n to_o do_v no_o man_n wrong_v
