as_o clear_a as_o the_o light_n and_o their_o just_a deal_n as_o the_o noon_n day_n they_o shall_v not_o be_v confound_v in_o the_o perilous_a time_n and_o in_o the_o day_n of_o dearth_n they_o shall_v have_v enough_o though_o they_o fall_v they_o shall_v not_o be_v cast_v down_o for_o the_o lord_n uphold_v they_o with_o his_o hand_n in_o a_o word_n that_o he_o will_v be_v their_o strength_n in_o the_o time_n of_o trouble_n he_o will_v stand_v by_o they_o and_o save_v they_o he_o will_v deliver_v they_o from_o the_o ungodly_a he_o will_v save_v they_o because_o they_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o he_o it_o will_v be_v endless_a to_o quote_v all_o the_o passage_n in_o the_o book_n of_o god_n that_o speak_v to_o this_o purpose_n and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v dismiss_v this_o point_n with_o that_o remarkable_a one_o which_o we_o find_v in_o the_o prophecy_n of_o isaiah_n 16._o wherein_o we_o may_v see_v both_o the_o upright_a man_n and_o his_o security_n in_o evil_a time_n describe_v in_o very_o lively_a colour_n he_o that_o walk_v righteous_o and_o speak_v upright_o he_o that_o despise_v the_o gain_n of_o oppression_n that_o shake_v his_o hand_n from_o hold_v of_o bribe_n that_o stop_v his_o ear_n from_o hear_v of_o blood_n and_o shut_v his_o eye_n from_o see_v evil_a he_o shall_v dwell_v on_o high_a his_o place_n of_o defence_n shall_v be_v the_o munition_n of_o rock_n his_o bread_n shall_v be_v give_v he_o his_o water_n shall_v be_v sure_a the_o sense_n
of_o which_o in_o short_a be_v this_o that_o whoever_o walk_v upright_o and_o make_v a_o conscience_n of_o his_o way_n such_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v always_o under_o the_o watchful_a care_n and_o protection_n of_o the_o divine_a providence_n and_o never_o will_v god_n suffer_v he_o to_o fall_v into_o any_o grievous_a distress_n but_o he_o shall_v always_o have_v such_o a_o portion_n of_o the_o good_a thing_n of_o this_o world_n afford_v to_o he_o as_o will_v be_v sufficient_a not_o only_o to_o make_v his_o life_n supportable_a but_o easy_a and_o in_o truth_n the_o experience_n of_o the_o world_n general_o make_v this_o good_a honest_a and_o upright_a man_n for_o the_o most_o part_n in_o the_o most_o public_a calamity_n fare_v well_o at_o least_o much_o better_a than_o those_o that_o be_v not_o so_o in_o their_o great_a extremity_n when_o they_o have_v no_o prospect_n of_o deliverance_n from_o any_o humane_a mean_n strange_a extraordinary_a unexpected_a succour_n and_o relief_n do_v arrive_v to_o they_o in_o a_o word_n that_o care_n of_o the_o special_a providence_n of_o god_n attend_v they_o that_o they_o be_v never_o miserable_a however_o they_o may_v be_v now_o and_o then_o cut_v short_a in_o their_o outward_a fortune_n but_o it_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v that_o though_o piety_n and_o uprightness_n have_v the_o promise_n of_o security_n in_o this_o life_n and_o that_o promise_v for_o the_o most_o part_n and_o in_o general_a speak_n be_v make_v good_a yet_o there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o exempt_a case_n god_n may_v see_v it_o fit_v now_o and_o then_o to_o suffer_v a_o upright_a man_n to_o be_v oppress_v and_o to_o perish_v in_o a_o common_a ruin_n and_o this_o without_o any_o violation_n of_o his_o promise_n of_o this_o kind_n which_o do_v indeed_o respect_v no_o more_o than_o the_o ordinary_a common_a event_n and_o success_n of_o thing_n but_o yet_o even_o in_o this_o case_n still_o there_o will_v to_o the_o upright_o arise_v light_n in_o the_o darkness_n that_o be_v light_n in_o the_o three_o sense_n we_o have_v give_v of_o the_o word_n viz._n take_v light_n for_o peace_n and_o joy_n and_o comfort_n and_o this_o be_v that_o which_o the_o psalmist_n tell_v we_o in_o another_o place_n light_n be_v sow_v for_o the_o righteous_a 11._o and_o gladness_n for_o the_o upright_o in_o heart_n whatever_o affliction_n come_v upon_o the_o upright_a man_n yet_o he_o have_v this_o advantage_n of_o other_o man_n that_o he_o bear_v they_o infinite_o more_o light_o than_o they_o do_v they_o be_v real_o no_o great_a disturbance_n to_o he_o for_o he_o enjoy_v the_o same_o calmness_n and_o serenity_n of_o mind_n the_o same_o peace_n and_o quiet_a and_o contentment_n that_o ever_o he_o do_v his_o present_a suffering_n be_v rather_o matter_n of_o rejoice_v and_o triumph_n to_o he_o than_o of_o discontent_n and_o repine_a for_o he_o know_v that_o they_o come_v upon_o he_o by_o the_o counsel_n and_o disposal_n of_o the_o great_a governor_n of_o the_o world_n and_o he_o know_v that_o he_o have_v so_o sincere_o approve_v himself_o to_o god_n and_o be_v so_o well_o belove_v by_o he_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o have_v be_v order_v into_o these_o circumstance_n have_v it_o not_o be_v real_o for_o his_o good_a and_o this_o consideration_n do_v so_o effectual_o support_v he_o under_o all_o the_o difficulty_n that_o he_o have_v to_o conflict_n with_o that_o he_o not_o only_o sit_v down_o easy_o and_o quiet_o but_o be_v very_o well_o please_v with_o the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o divine_a providence_n towards_o he_o how_o ingrateful_a soever_o they_o may_v be_v to_o flesh_n and_o blood_n let_v what_o will_v happen_v to_o he_o he_o be_v full_a of_o peace_n and_o joy_n for_o he_o have_v meet_v with_o no_o disappointment_n of_o his_o design_n his_o great_a aim_n be_v to_o please_v god_n and_o his_o conscience_n from_o god_n word_n assure_v he_o that_o he_o have_v do_v it_o and_o he_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v far_o but_o to_o wait_v for_o the_o happy_a time_n when_o the_o secret_n of_o all_o heart_n shall_v be_v reveal_v and_o every_o man_n counsel_n and_o action_n shall_v be_v make_v manifest_a and_o then_o he_o doubt_v not_o to_o receive_v approbation_n and_o praise_n and_o a_o great_a reward_n in_o that_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o so_o much_o the_o rather_o because_o this_o light_a affliction_n wherewith_o he_o be_v now_o exercise_v he_o be_v assure_v 17._o will_v work_v for_o he_o a_o far_o more_o exceed_a and_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n to_o conclude_v whatever_o his_o suffering_n be_v he_o will_v live_v and_o die_v in_o a_o profound_a peace_n perfect_o satisfy_v with_o all_o god_n deal_n towards_o he_o and_o his_o life_n and_o death_n will_v verify_v to_o all_o that_o know_v
