mind_n with_o their_o humane_a invention_n and_o scholastic_a term_n impose_v in_o the_o time_n of_o apostasy_n and_o popery_n and_o concern_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o some_o account_v he_o the_o light_n within_o man_n this_o j._n o._n number_n among_o the_o monstrous_a imagination_n pag._n 87._o wherein_o he_o have_v not_o only_o strike_v at_o we_o who_o testify_v to_o christ_n as_o the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n that_o light_v every_o man_n and_o as_o be_v in_o the_o true_a believer_n both_o their_o light_n life_n and_o salvation_n but_o also_o j._n o._n have_v herein_o oppose_v of_o the_o divine_a power_n of_o god_n which_o give_v unto_o we_o all_o thing_n appertain_v to_o life_n and_o godliness_n and_o now_o touch_v their_o distinction_n of_o person_n or_o personal_a subsistance_n in_o god_n j._n o._n say_v pag._n 114._o the_o distinct_a apprehension_n of_o they_o and_o their_o accurate_a expression_n be_v not_o necessary_a unto_o faith_n as_o it_o be_v our_o guide_n etc._n etc._n nor_o be_v those_o brief_a explanation_n before_o mention_v so_o propose_v as_o to_o be_v place_v immediate_o in_o the_o same_o rank_n or_o order_n with_o the_o original_a strict_a in_o go_v about_o to_o impose_v their_o term_n expression_n and_o explication_n which_o they_o have_v not_o in_o the_o scripture_n upon_o people_n faith_n and_o conscience_n as_o if_o it_o be_v a_o matter_n of_o damnation_n not_o to_o receive_v a_o faith_n concern_v god_n under_o their_o traditional_a notion_n and_o term_n however_o we_o believe_v what_o the_o scripture_n say_v both_o of_o god_n christ_n and_o holy_a spirit_n who_o be_v one_o lay_v aside_o all_o these_o man_n invent_v confuse_v amuse_v sophistry_n cavil_n and_o their_o darken_n term_v as_o distinct_a and_o separate_a personallity_n substance_n subsistance_n modallity_n etc._n etc._n of_o which_o they_o themselves_o be_v guilty_a though_o j._n o._n accuse_v other_o therewith_o pag._n 116._o and_o whilst_o these_o pretend_a accurate_a expression_n be_v not_o necessary_a unto_o faith_n why_o do_v j._n o._n press_v they_o as_o proper_a expression_n of_o what_o be_v reveal_v to_o increase_v our_o light_n pag._n 115._o what_o apparent_a contradiction_n be_v this_o not_o necessary_a unto_o faith_n as_o our_o guide_n and_o yet_o proper_a to_o increase_v our_o light_n as_o if_o the_o increase_n of_o light_n have_v not_o a_o necessary_a relation_n unto_o both_o faith_n as_o guide_n and_o principle_n both_o in_o and_o unto_o religious_a worship_n but_o to_o be_v sure_a that_o instead_o of_o increase_a light_n their_o dark_a invent_a scholastic_a heathenish_a and_o popish_a term_n have_v increase_v much_o darkness_n in_o the_o mind_n of_o people_n and_o keep_v many_o in_o great_a ignorance_n both_o of_o god_n and_o the_o mystery_n of_o godliness_n and_o whereas_o j._n o._n give_v order_n or_o instruction_n that_o they_o that_o deny_v or_o oppose_v their_o explication_n be_v to_o be_v require_v positive_o to_o deny_v or_o disapprove_v the_o oneness_n of_o the_o deity_n or_o to_o prove_v that_o the_o father_n or_o son_n or_o holy_a ghost_n be_v not_o god_n before_o they_o be_v allow_v to_o speak_v one_o word_n against_o the_o manner_n of_o the_o explication_n pag._n 115._o answ._n a_o very_a unreasonable_a imposition_n and_o require_v to_o require_v any_o to_o deny_v the_o oneness_n of_o the_o deity_n or_o to_o prove_v the_o father_n son_n or_o holy_a ghost_n not_o to_o be_v god_n because_o they_o may_v except_v against_o such_o invent_a explication_n as_o j._n the_o question_n take_v it_o as_o grant_v that_o their_o explication_n be_v as_o true_a as_o the_o oneness_n of_o the_o deity_n or_o as_o true_a as_o that_o the_o father_n son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n be_v god_n as_o if_o he_o have_v tell_v we_o it_o be_v all_o one_o as_o true_a that_o they_o be_v distinct_a sever_v person_n as_o it_o be_v that_o they_o be_v god_n which_o it_o be_v not_o we_o have_v not_o ground_n to_o believe_v their_o explication_n herein_o to_o be_v equal_a for_o the_o unity_n
