righteousness_n which_o be_v that_o spiritual_a grace_n of_o god_n the_o fountain_n of_o all_o blessing_n whereby_o sinner_n be_v justify_v and_o sanctify_v second_o that_o which_o be_v most_o of_o all_o to_o be_v desire_v must_v needs_o be_v the_o most_o excellent_a righteousness_n but_o this_o righteousness_n here_o mention_v be_v most_o to_o be_v desire_v for_o christ_n say_v man_n shall_v hunger_n and_o thirst_n after_o it_o thereby_o express_v a_o most_o earnest_a and_o vehement_a desire_n and_o therefore_o by_o righteousness_n we_o must_v understand_v god_n grace_n and_o mercy_n in_o that_o which_o be_v his_o own_o in_o this_o world_n again_o such_o a_o man_n do_v unfeigned_o grieve_v at_o the_o iniquity_n that_o be_v in_o the_o world_n and_o withal_o his_o heart_n do_v most_o earnest_o desire_v reformation_n thereof_o both_o in_o himself_o and_o other_o first_o this_o sentence_n must_v be_v remember_v as_o a_o storehouse_n of_o true_a comfort_n faith_n in_o all_o estate_n if_o these_o thing_n be_v in_o we_o we_o have_v wherein_o we_o may_v rejoice_v but_o if_o our_o heart_n be_v dead_a and_o hard_a so_o as_o we_o have_v no_o touch_n for_o our_o sin_n no_o hunger_a after_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n nor_o desire_n of_o sanctification_n then_o be_v we_o void_v of_o grace_n and_o so_o most_o miserable_a for_o the_o small_a measure_n of_o true_a grace_n that_o can_v be_v be_v to_o hunger_n after_o grace_n in_o the_o want_n thereof_o last_o this_o rule_n of_o blessedness_n must_v admonish_v we_o as_o we_o tender_v our_o hunger_n salvation_n so_o to_o prophet_n time_n yet_o it_o shall_v not_o always_o be_v so_o the_o time_n will_v come_v wherein_o they_o must_v be_v cast_v out_o and_o receive_v their_o due_a and_o deserve_a destruction_n and_o this_o especial_o must_v be_v remember_v to_o stay_v and_o comfort_v our_o heart_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o popish_a religion_n which_o do_v most_o of_o all_o molest_v and_o trouble_v we_o first_o because_o it_o be_v natural_a and_o so_o ready_o embrace_v second_o many_o among_o we_o do_v much_o affect_v it_o and_o three_o it_o be_v maintain_v by_o mighty_a monarch_n but_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o it_o must_v down_o for_o it_o be_v a_o plant_n which_o god_n never_o set_v nor_o plant_v matth._n 15._o 13._o and_o the_o chief_a upholder_n of_o it_o shall_v be_v destroy_v ii_o use_n this_o name_n of_o christ_n many_o shall_v be_v condemn_v and_o v_o 13._o many_o walk_n in_o the_o broad_a way_n to_o destruction_n few_o in_o the_o narrow_a whereby_o we_o be_v teach_v first_o that_o we_o must_v not_o frame_v our_o life_n according_a to_o the_o example_n of_o the_o multitude_n to_o live_v and_o do_v as_o the_o most_o do_v because_o the_o most_o shall_v be_v condemn_v but_o we_o must_v strive_v to_o enter_v in_o at_o the_o straight_a gate_n and_o to_o be_v of_o that_o little_a flock_n unto_o who_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v promise_v second_o hence_o we_o learn_v not_o to_o content_v ourselves_o to_o live_v as_o most_o man_n and_o woman_n do_v that_o profess_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n but_o we_o must_v labour_v to_o go_v beyond_o the_o multitude_n in_o regard_n of_o god_n they_o shall_v live_v and_o die_v in_o this_o persuasion_n and_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o at_o the_o last_o judgement_n they_o shall_v receive_v the_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n a_o thing_n deep_o to_o be_v weigh_v of_o every_o one_o and_o the_o consideration_n of_o it_o ought_v to_o teach_v we_o all_o to_o take_v heed_n of_o spiritual_a pride_n and_o self-love_n whereby_o man_n flatter_v and_o deceive_v themselves_o in_o their_o estate_n overween_a the_o good_a thing_n they_o have_v and_o false_o think_v that_o they_o have_v that_o blessing_n of_o god_n which_o indeed_o they_o have_v not_o this_o must_v move_v we_o not_o only_o to_o labour_v to_o be_v purge_v of_o this_o pride_n but_o also_o teach_v we_o to_o suspect_v the_o worst_a of_o ourselves_o and_o to_o judge_v ourselves_o severe_o in_o regard_n of_o unbelief_n and_o hollowness_n of_o heart_n for_o this_o will_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o make_v we_o escape_v the_o judgement_n of_o condemnation_n at_o the_o last_o day_n which_o christ_n shall_v pronounce_v against_o many_o of_o those_o that_o think_v themselves_o to_o be_v his_o servant_n further_o observe_v where_o christ_n say_v in_o that_o day_n he_o single_v out_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n as_o a_o most_o terrible_a day_n and_o say_v they_o shall_v say_v unto_o i_o he_o make_v himself_o the_o judge_n of_o all_o the_o world_n in_o that_o day_n and_o further_o point_v out_o their_o particular_a plead_n for_o themselves_o he_o give_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o he_o be_v very_a god_n who_o know_v long_o before_o not_o only_o the_o fearfulness_n of_o the_o last_o judgement_n and_o in_o this_o regard_n not_o to_o content_v ourselves_o with_o the_o gift_n of_o knowledge_n and_o with_o a_o outward_a profession_n but_o to_o labour_v for_o soundness_n and_o sincerity_n of_o faith_n of_o repentance_n and_o new_a obedience_n both_o in_o heart_n and_o life_n this_o be_v paul_n practice_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o resurrection_n to_o this_o judgement_n he_o endeavour_v himself_o to_o have_v always_o a_o clear_a conscience_n towards_o god_n and_o towards_o man_n act._n 24._o 16._o and_o this_o duty_n be_v most_o necessary_a for_o such_o be_v our_o ignorance_n and_o unbelief_n that_o we_o little_o regard_v the_o terror_n of_o this_o day_n but_o either_o think_v it_o shall_v not_o come_v or_o though_o it_o do_v we_o shall_v commend_v the_o office_n of_o a_o minister_n because_o it_o be_v the_o principal_a duty_n of_o the_o prophet_n themselves_o thus_o to_o handle_v the_o word_n of_o god_n for_o the_o instruction_n and_o
