the_o pure_a gospel_n of_o christ_n corrupt_v and_o a_o arminian_n gospel_n new-vampt_a and_o obtrude_v on_o people_n to_o the_o certain_a peril_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o such_o as_o believe_v it_o and_o a_o little_a after_o in_o the_o same_o page_n he_o say_v that_o we_o be_v such_o minister_n as_o creep_v in_o not_o only_o to_o spy_v out_o but_o to_o destroy_v not_o so_o much_o the_o gospel-liberty_n as_o the_o gospel-salvation_n we_o have_v in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o to_o bring_v we_o back_o under_o the_o yoke_n of_o legal-bondage_n and_o indeed_o say_v he_o the_o case_n in_o the_o false-teacher_n in_o the_o church_n of_o galatia_n who_o teach_v people_n that_o they_o can_v not_o be_v justify_v and_o save_v unless_o they_o become_v jew_n so_o far_o as_o to_o be_v circumcise_a and_o to_o keep_v the_o law_n of_o moses_n and_o therefore_o that_o paul_n curse_n record_v gal._n 1.8_o fall_v upon_o we_o though_o we_o or_o a_o angel_n from_o heaven_n preach_v any_o more_o when_o we_o shall_v either_o be_v drive_v out_o of_o our_o lurk_v hole_n by_o force_n of_o argument_n or_o shall_v think_v fit_a to_o discover_v our_o secret_a sentiment_n and_o when_o that_o day_n come_v he_o threaten_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v find_v enemy_n and_o opposer_n enough_o both_o at_o home_n and_o abroad_o this_o be_v his_o first_o great_a charge_n which_o we_o have_v faithful_o collect_v from_o his_o own_o express_a word_n and_o a_o dreadful_a charge_n it_o be_v if_o it_o be_v true_a but_o of_o the_o truth_n of_o it_o we_o find_v no_o proof_n but_o his_o bare_a word_n and_o what_o credit_n his_o word_n deserve_v we_o have_v see_v already_o indeed_o what_o he_o say_v of_o his_o judicious_a observer_n their_o sear_v that_o our_o cause_n be_v not_o only_o coincident_a with_o pelagius_n his_o cause_n but_o that_o we_o be_v further_o go_v off_o from_o the_o truth_n than_o he_o we_o can_v tell_v whether_o it_o be_v true_a or_o false_a it_o may_v be_v true_a for_o we_o read_v in_o psal_n 53.5_o that_o some_o man_n have_v be_v in_o great_a fear_n where_o there_o be_v no_o just_a cause_n of_o fear_n and_o it_o may_v be_v false_a for_o some_o man_n can_v write_v lie_n and_o say_v that_o they_o and_z their_o confederate_n do_v fear_n that_o which_o they_o do_v not_o fear_v but_o only_o for_o their_o own_o end_n will_v make_v simple_a people_n believe_v that_o they_o fear_v so_o that_o for_o aught_o we_o know_v it_o may_v be_v either_o true_a or_o false_a that_o he_o and_o his_o party_n have_v such_o fear_n of_o we_o but_o the_o lord_n all_o the_o reprobate_a world_n in_o the_o same_o sense_n that_o he_o have_v redeem_a his_o select_a people_n who_o he_o choose_v in_o christ_n before_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n unto_o special_a effectual_a grace_n in_o this_o life_n and_o unto_o eternal_a glory_n hereafter_o in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v this_o be_v to_o be_v a_o middle-way-man_n to_o hold_v universal_a redemption_n in_o such_o a_o sense_n as_o neither_o please_v the_o arminian_n nor_o the_o rigid_a antiarminian_n this_o our_o author_n know_v well_o enough_o and_o if_o he_o know_v as_o well_o what_o be_v the_o error_n of_o pelagius_n than_o he_o can_v choose_v but_o know_v that_o it_o be_v a_o lie_n to_o say_v that_o our_o cause_n be_v coincident_a with_o the_o cause_n of_o pelagius_n for_o to_o transcribe_v together_o with_o the_o passage_n out_o of_o the_o large_a catechism_n we_o say_v we_o will_v subscribe_v they_o in_o the_o assembly_n own_o sense_n we_o add_v this_o limitation_n by_o faith_n seem_v to_o differ_v from_o the_o more_o common_a modern_a opinion_n most_o in_o the_o manner_n of_o expression_n which_o some_o of_o we_o think_v most_o agreeable_a to_o the_o scripture_n phrase_n but_o we_o leave_v every_o man_n to_o express_v his_o notion_n as_o best_o please_v he_o provide_v that_o if_o he_o do_v not_o use_v scripture_n word_n yet_o he_o do_v not_o
