eye_n to_o see_v their_o sin_n which_o if_o he_o shall_v do_v now_o while_o they_o be_v here_o on_o earth_n will_v make_v they_o cry_v out_o as_o much_o as_o it_o be_v with_o comfort_n so_o it_o be_v fear_n and_o grief_n be_v the_o absence_n of_o good_a and_o prelence_n of_o evil_a and_o both_o they_o come_v by_o the_o privation_n of_o god_n presence_n the_o three_o reason_n be_v take_v from_o the_o nature_n of_o conscience_n itself_o when_o it_o be_v awaken_v because_o that_o reas._n then_o it_o be_v sensible_a of_o the_o least_o sin_n for_o every_o faculty_n as_o it_o be_v large_a so_o more_o capable_a than_o the_o body_n and_o in_o the_o soul_n conscience_n of_o all_o other_o part_n most_o capable_a and_o as_o the_o conscience_n be_v capable_a of_o the_o great_a grief_n so_o also_o of_o the_o great_a comfort_n it_o be_v capable_a of_o the_o peace_n of_o god_n which_o pass_v all_o understanding_n and_o sure_o this_o horror_n of_o conscience_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o spark_n of_o hell_n fire_n which_o the_o heathen_a have_v some_o inkling_n of_o when_o they_o say_v they_o be_v exagitated_a with_o the_o fury_n see_v then_o that_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n be_v thus_o insuppartable_a this_o shall_v teach_v we_o in_o all_o thing_n especial_o 1_o to_o labour_v to_o keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n and_o to_o labour_v to_o be_v free_a from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n if_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n be_v the_o great_a evil_n then_o shall_v the_o whole_a stream_n of_o our_o endeavour_n be_v to_o take_v heed_n thereof_o by_o labour_v for_o to_o keep_v a_o pure_a conscience_n proportion_n your_o care_n herein_o to_o the_o good_a that_o will_v come_v thereby_o it_o will_v bring_v the_o unspeakable_a comfort_n without_o this_o labour_n to_o keep_v a_o good_a conscience_n thou_o will_v never_o have_v thy_o heart_n perfect_a therefore_o labour_n for_o it_o consider_v the_o good_a it_o bring_v man_n busy_a their_o head_n here_o to_o the_o utmost_a for_o other_o thing_n as_o for_o learning_n credit_n riches_n honour_n and_o all_o because_o they_o think_v that_o they_o be_v worthy_a their_o labour_n let_v we_o then_o but_o consider_v the_o fruit_n that_o this_o peace_n of_o conscience_n will_v bring_v let_v we_o but_o gather_v up_o our_o thought_n that_o be_v busy_v so_o much_o about_o other_o thing_n and_o but_o consider_v this_o a_o little_a which_o if_o man_n will_v but_o do_v they_o will_v spend_v more_o time_n about_o it_o then_o they_o d_o you_o for_o now_o these_o thing_n be_v do_v but_o by_o the_o bye_n and_o have_v not_o that_o tithe_n of_o the_o time_n spend_v about_o they_o that_o shall_v be_v which_o we_o spend_v about_o other_o thing_n but_o let_v such_o know_v that_o it_o be_v but_o a_o folly_n to_o go_v about_o that_o work_n with_o a_o finger_n which_o require_v the_o strength_n of_o the_o whole_a body_n when_o this_o work_n of_o the_o build_n of_o grace_n do_v require_v the_o whole_a strength_n of_o a_o man_n and_o we_o put_v not_o our_o whole_a strength_n thereto_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_n if_o we_o do_v not_o prosper_v therein_o let_v we_o therefore_o serious_o consider_v our_o way_n let_v we_o consider_v with_o what_o tentation_n the_o devil_n daily_o assay_v we_o consider_v that_o it_o be_v as_o good_a get_v ground_n of_o the_o rage_a sea_n as_o of_o rage_a lust_n consider_v these_o thing_n with_o thyself_o i_o be_o very_o persuade_v that_o the_o chief_a cause_n why_o there_o be_v so_o much_o deadness_n in_o those_o that_o belong_v unto_o christ_n be_v because_o they_o consider_v not_o their_o way_n take_v time_n therefore_o to_o consider_v thy_o way_n it_o be_v no_o wonder_n to_o see_v man_n complain_v of_o their_o weakness_n when_o
loathe_v the_o creature_n but_o sin_n all_o the_o imperfection_n and_o blemish_n and_o disease_n and_o infirmity_n of_o the_o creature_n make_v not_o god_n to_o loathe_v it_o if_o there_o be_v not_o a_o mixture_n of_o sin_n with_o it_o because_o they_o be_v not_o contrary_a unto_o god_n they_o fight_v not_o against_o god_n but_o sin_n fight_v against_o the_o purity_n and_o holiness_n of_o god_n it_o turn_v all_o the_o faculty_n and_o part_n of_o the_o soul_n &_o body_n to_o evil_a and_o be_v the_o breeder_n of_o all_o distemperature_n as_o fear_v and_o horror_n in_o the_o soul_n second_o it_o bring_v all_o the_o evil_a that_o do_v befall_v a_o man_n in_o this_o life_n they_o all_o come_v by_o sin_n all_o shame_n reproach_n poverty_n disgrace_n punishment_n come_v by_o sin_n now_o if_o you_o will_v but_o consider_v sin_n in_o these_o you_o will_v see_v it_o to_o be_v evil_a but_o especial_o you_o shall_v see_v the_o evil_a of_o sin_n in_o a_o distress_a conscience_n what_o fear_n bankrupt_a so_o it_o be_v with_o sin_n what_o though_o the_o sin_n be_v but_o a_o little_a sin_n yet_o give_v this_o a_o little_a vent_n put_v it_o to_o action_n and_o this_o sin_n will_v prove_v a_o great_a sin_n give_v once_o consent_n and_o in_o time_n it_o will_v be_v a_o reign_a sin_n and_o when_o it_o be_v thus_o than_o it_o turn_v the_o soul_n into_o evil_n set_v it_o on_o a_o rage_n imprison_v it_o make_v it_o to_o obey_v and_o to_o be_v a_o slave_n to_o satan_n now_o what_o great_a evil_n can_v there_o be_v then_o sin_n thus_o much_o for_o the_o first_o mean_n to_o get_v the_o judgement_n rectify_v which_o will_v see_v sin_n so_o as_o to_o humble_v it_o the_o second_o mean_n to_o be_v humble_v be_v this_o you_o mean_n must_v labour_v to_o make_v your_o heart_n fit_a to_o be_v humble_a and_o that_o you_o may_v do_v this_o you_o must_v do_v these_o thing_n first_o you_o must_v labour_v to_o get_v some_o sense_n of_o holiness_n that_o be_v you_o must_v get_v the_o heart_n in_o a_o frame_n of_o grace_n for_o except_v a_o man_n get_v the_o spirit_n he_o will_v not_o be_v humble_v but_o when_o there_o be_v holiness_n breed_v in_o the_o heart_n than_o he_o will_v see_v sin_n to_o be_v humble_a he_o will_v see_v sin_n out_o of_o his_o place_n take_v any_o heavy_a thing_n especial_o water_n and_o in_o its_o place_n it_o be_v not_o heavy_a but_o let_v it_o be_v remove_v out_o of_o its_o place_n and_o it_o will_v be_v a_o heavy_a burden_n even_o so_o will_v sin_n be_v unto_o you_o when_o you_o have_v once_o get_v the_o spirit_n you_o will_v then_o see_v sin_n out_o of_o his_o place_n and_o to_o be_v a_o heavy_a burden_n that_o you_o will_v not_o willing_o bear_v it_o but_o you_o will_v stoop_v under_o it_o and_o therefore_o the_o more_o holiness_n that_o any_o man_n get_v the_o more_o will_v be_v his_o sight_n of_o sin_n and_o where_o there_o be_v most_o sight_n of_o sin_n there_o will_v be_v most_o grief_n for_o sin_n and_o this_o grief_n be_v second_o if_o you_o will_v be_v fit_a to_o be_v humble_a 2._o consider_v another_o thing_n which_o be_v the_o punishment_n of_o sin_n if_o you_o continue_v in_o sin_n you_o shall_v be_v damn_v second_o from_o man_n nature_n which_o be_v apt_a to_o love_v the_o treason_n and_o hate_v the_o traitor_n he_o have_v a_o love_n to_o the_o lust_n and_o so_o may_v love_v the_o treason_n he_o have_v a_o principle_n in_o he_o to_o hate_v the_o traitor_n three_o from_o the_o nature_n of_o their_o love_n it_o be_v for_o commodity_n or_o gain_n or_o some_o by_o end_n or_o other_o and_o therefore_o when_o the_o commodity_n cease_v that_o also_o cease_v yea_o and_o often_o turn_v to_o hatred_n as_o ammon_n love_n to_o thamar_n do_v this_o shall_v teach_v we_o to_o take_v heed_n how_o we_o join_v with_o man_n to_o do_v evil_a it_o be_v better_a to_o use_v join_v to_o their_o conscience_n in_o do_v well_o for_o their_o conscience_n will_v continue_v then_o to_o their_o lust_n for_o they_o
