these_o thing_n set_v superstition_n aside_o be_v by_o themselves_o indifferent_a yet_o when_o there_o be_v add_v offence_n of_o brethren_n they_o can_v not_o be_v do_v without_o a_o fault_n but_o the_o time_n be_v such_o that_o the_o faithful_a can_v not_o show_v such_o a_o sight_n to_o the_o weak_a brethren_n but_o that_o they_o shall_v sore_o wound_n their_o conscience_n who_o but_o a_o caviller_n will_v say_v that_o so_o they_o make_v a_o new_a law_n whereas_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o they_o do_v only_o prevent_v offence_n which_o be_v express_o enough_o forbid_v of_o the_o lord_n and_o no_o more_o can_v it_o be_v say_v of_o the_o apostle_n who_o be_v purpose_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o in_o taâ—ing_v away_o the_o matter_n of_o offence_n to_o call_v upon_o the_o law_n of_o god_n concern_v the_o avoid_n of_o offence_n as_o if_o they_o have_v say_v it_o be_v the_o lord_n commandment_n that_o you_o offend_v not_o a_o weak_a brother_n you_o can_v not_o eat_v thing_n offer_v to_o image_n strangle_v and_o blood_n but_o that_o the_o weak_a brethren_n shall_v be_v offend_v therefore_o we_o command_v you_o in_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n that_o you_o eat_v not_o with_o offence_n and_o that_o the_o apostle_n have_v respect_n to_o the_o same_o thing_n paul_n himself_o be_v a_o very_a good_a witness_n which_o write_v thus_o very_o none_o otherwise_o than_o accord_v to_o the_o meaning_n of_o the_o council_n concern_v meat_n that_o be_v offer_v to_o idol_n we_o know_v that_o the_o idol_n be_v nothing_o but_o some_o with_o conscience_n of_o the_o idol_n do_v eat_v it_o as_o offer_v to_o idol_n and_o their_o conscience_n forasmuch_o as_o it_o be_v weak_a be_v defile_v â—_o see_v that_o your_o liberty_n be_v not_o make_v a_o offence_n to_o the_o weak_a he_o that_o shall_v have_v well_o weigh_v these_o thing_n shall_v not_o afterward_o be_v deceive_v with_o such_o a_o false_a colour_n as_o they_o make_v that_o pretend_v the_o apostle_n for_o defence_n on_o their_o tyranny_n as_o though_o the_o apostle_n have_v begin_v with_o their_o decree_n to_o break_v the_o liberty_n of_o the_o chirche_n but_o that_o they_o may_v not_o be_v able_a to_o escape_v but_o be_v dryven_v even_o with_o their_o own_o confession_n to_o allow_v this_o solution_n let_v they_o answer_v i_o by_o what_o right_a they_o be_v so_o bold_a to_o abrogate_v the_o same_o decree_n because_o there_o be_v no_o more_o peril_n of_o those_o offence_n and_o dissension_n which_o the_o apostle_n mean_v to_o provide_v for_o and_o they_o know_v that_o the_o law_n be_v to_o be_v weigh_v by_o the_o end_n thereof_o forasmuch_o as_o therefore_o this_o law_n be_v make_v in_o respect_n of_o charity_n there_o be_v nothing_o prescribe_v in_o it_o but_o so_o much_o as_o pertain_v to_o charity_n when_o they_o confess_v that_o the_o transgress_v of_o this_o law_n be_v nothing_o but_o a_o break_v of_o charity_n do_v they_o not_o therewithal_o acknowledge_v that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o forge_a addition_n to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n but_o a_o natural_a and_o simple_a appliance_n to_o the_o time_n and_o manner_n whereunto_o it_o be_v direct_v but_o although_o such_o law_n be_v a_o hundred_o time_n uniuste_a and_o injurious_a unto_o we_o yet_o they_o affirm_v that_o they_o must_v be_v hear_v without_o exception_n for_o they_o say_v that_o this_o be_v not_o here_o intend_v that_o we_o shall_v consent_v to_o error_n but_o only_o that_o be_v subject_n we_o shall_v bear_v the_o hard_a commandment_n of_o our_o governor_n which_o it_o be_v not_o our_o part_n to_o refuse_v but_o here_o also_o the_o lord_n very_o well_o resist_v they_o with_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o word_n and_o deliver_v we_o out_o of_o such_o bondage_n into_o the_o liberty_n which_o he_o have_v purchase_v sincere_a affection_n of_o heart_n yet_o they_o have_v still_o a_o great_a part_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o soul_n possess_v with_o the_o desire_n of_o the_o flesh_n by_o which_o they_o be_v draw_v back_o and_o stay_v from_o go_v forward_o with_o hasty_a course_n to_o god_n they_o do_v in_o deed_n travail_v forward_o with_o great_a endeavour_n but_o the_o flesh_n partly_o feble_v their_o strength_n and_o partly_o draw_v they_o to_o itself_o what_o shall_v they_o here_o do_v when_o they_o feel_v that_o they_o do_v nothing_o less_o than_o perform_v the_o law_n they_o will_v they_o covet_v they_o endeavour_n but_o nothing_o with_o such_o perfection_n as_o aught_o to_o be_v if_o they_o look_v upon_o the_o law_n they_o see_v that_o whatsoever_o work_n they_o attempt_v or_o purpose_n be_v accurse_v neither_o be_v there_o any_o cause_n why_o any_o man_n shall_v deceive_v himself_o with_o gather_v that_o the_o work_n be_v therefore_o not_o altogether_o evell_a because_o it_o be_v unperfect_a and_o therefore_o that_o god_n do_v nevertheless_o accept_v that_o good_a which_o be_v in_o it_o for_o the_o law_n require_v perfect_a love_n condemn_v all_o imperfection_n
