prophetical_a office_n by_o allusion_n to_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o prophet_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n especial_o those_o which_o belong_v to_o the_o school_n of_o elias_n and_o elizeus_fw-la who_o be_v here_o term_v the_o learned_a and_o out_o of_o the_o word_n thereof_o one_o special_a point_n of_o instruction_n may_v be_v gather_v namely_o that_o there_o be_v a_o certain_a knowledge_n or_o doctrine_n reveal_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n whereby_o the_o conscience_n of_o the_o weak_a may_v be_v rectify_v and_o pacify_v i_o gather_v it_o thus_o it_o be_v one_o special_a duty_n of_o christ_n prophetical_a office_n to_o give_v comfort_n to_o the_o conscience_n of_o those_o that_o be_v distress_v as_o the_o prophet_n here_o record_v now_o as_o christ_n have_v this_o power_n to_o execute_v and_o perform_v such_o a_o duty_n so_o he_o have_v commit_v the_o dispensation_n thereof_o to_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o we_o may_v not_o think_v that_o christ_n in_o his_o own_o person_n minister_v and_o speak_v word_n of_o comfort_n to_o the_o weary_a in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o prophet_n because_o he_o be_v not_o then_o exhibit_v in_o our_o nature_n and_o yet_o he_o do_v then_o speak_v but_o how_o in_o the_o person_n of_o the_o prophet_n so_o likewise_o because_o christ_n now_o in_o the_o new_a testament_n speak_v not_o unto_o the_o afflict_a in_o his_o own_o proper_a person_n it_o remain_v therefore_o that_o he_o perform_v this_o great_a work_n in_o the_o ministry_n of_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n upon_o earth_n to_o who_o he_o have_v give_v knowledge_n and_o other_o gift_n to_o this_o end_n and_o purpose_n there_o must_v needs_o therefore_o be_v a_o certain_a and_o infallible_a doctrine_n propound_v and_o teach_v in_o the_o scripture_n whereby_o the_o conscience_n of_o man_n distress_v may_v be_v quiet_v and_o relieve_v and_o this_o doctrine_n be_v not_o attain_v unto_o by_o extraordinary_a revelation_n but_o must_v be_v draw_v out_o of_o
