the_o vinegar_n of_o the_o law_n and_o after_o to_o supple_a it_o with_o the_o oil_n of_o the_o gospel_n both_o which_o must_v be_v do_v in_o wisdom_n use_v they_o to_o some_o in_o great_a to_o some_o the_o body_n through_o some_o extraordinary_a repletion_n have_v get_v some_o great_a surfeit_n not_o so_o much_o to_o the_o weaken_n of_o nature_n as_o to_o the_o threaten_n of_o imminent_a death_n and_o therefore_o require_v rather_o some_o strong_a purgation_n than_o comfortable_a and_o cordial_a medicine_n then_o the_o soul_n bring_v almost_o to_o death_n door_n with_o some_o extraordinary_a sin_n be_v rather_o to_o be_v bore_v and_o pierce_v with_o the_o denounce_v of_o god_n judgement_n than_o otherwise_o but_o because_o we_o will_v deal_v more_o plain_o &_o less_o confuse_o it_o be_v good_a in_o our_o access_n to_o afflict_a conscience_n to_o lay_v these_o two_o ground_n first_o we_o must_v persuade_v the_o person_n humble_v that_o their_o sin_n be_v pardonable_a and_o their_o sore_n curable_a and_o after_o that_o this_o visitation_n be_v not_o so_o much_o a_o sign_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o anger_n as_o a_o seal_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o favour_n in_o that_o it_o be_v not_o either_o blind_a or_o barren_a but_o plentiful_a in_o good_a effect_n and_o fruitful_a in_o godly_a issue_n the_o former_a how_o needful_a it_o be_v the_o experience_n of_o so_o many_o almost_o
