keep_n of_o god_n but_o hypocrite_n they_o go_v out_o from_o we_o say_v saint_n john_n but_o they_o be_v not_o of_o we_o peter_n be_v keep_v by_o the_o power_n of_o god_n though_o shake_v by_o temptation_n yet_o be_v he_o not_o overcome_v judas_n be_v never_o but_o the_o child_n of_o perdition_n and_o have_v common_a grace_n and_o be_v never_o justify_v nor_o sanctify_v let_v we_o then_o look_v we_o be_v find_v and_o indeed_o be_v such_o as_o be_v take_v into_o god_n keep_v and_o then_o safe_a enough_o then_o may_v we_o triumph_v with_o the_o apostle_n 31._o if_o god_n be_v on_o our_o side_n who_o can_v be_v against_o we_o and_o who_o shall_v separate_v we_o from_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n 37._o shall_v tribulation_n or_o distress_n or_o persecution_n etc._n etc._n nay_o in_o liable_a to_o do_v he_o hurt_v as_o cain_n say_v murmure_o 14._o thou_o have_v cast_v i_o from_o thy_o face_n and_o every_o one_o that_o find_v i_o shall_v slay_v i_o note_v indeed_o true_o that_o he_o lie_v open_a to_o a_o thousand_o peril_n that_o be_v not_o keep_v by_o god_n so_o be_v it_o for_o spiritual_a danger_n he_o that_o be_v not_o keep_v by_o god_n may_v fall_v into_o any_o sin_n irrecoverable_o and_o perish_v eternal_o this_o then_o confound_v that_o hellish_a doctrine_n of_o rome_n 2._o that_o the_o elect_a and_o sanctify_a may_v final_o fall_v from_o grace_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o whole_a scripture_n through_o faith_n god_n keep_v we_o faith_n but_o by_o no_o miracle_n or_o extraordinary_a way_n but_o by_o faith_n not_o without_o we_o but_o by_o work_v and_o increase_v the_o grace_n of_o faith_n and_o true_a beleif_n in_o we_o some_o will_v understand_v it_o through_o hope_n because_o hereby_o we_o wait_v for_o salvation_n and_o indeed_o there_o be_v great_a affinity_n between_o faith_n and_o hope_n so_o that_o in_o scripture_n they_o be_v sometime_o put_v one_o for_o another_o by_o faith_n we_o believe_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o by_o hope_n we_o wait_v till_o we_o find_v and_o feel_v he_o so_o to_o we_o by_o faith_n we_o believe_v eternal_a life_n by_o hope_n we_o patient_o wait_v for_o it_o and_o as_o there_o can_v be_v no_o hope_n if_o there_o be_v not_o faith_n before_o so_o hope_n do_v great_o help_v faith_n it_o keep_v it_o that_o it_o make_v not_o too_o much_o haste_n nor_o break_v off_o in_o the_o mid_a way_n for_o god_n oftentimes_o after_o his_o promise_n defer_v to_o perform_v they_o so_o that_o the_o wicked_a also_o come_v to_o say_v 4._o where_o be_v the_o promise_n of_o his_o come_n yea_o ever_o he_o come_v he_o hide_v his_o face_n and_o seem_v as_o if_o he_o will_v not_o fulfil_v the_o same_o now_o therefore_o here_o do_v hope_v her_o office_n and_o step_n in_o and_o sustain_v faith_n very_o well_o so_o that_o a_o christian_n must_v necessary_o have_v both_o to_o go_v along_o with_o he_o but_o i_o see_v no_o reason_n to_o alter_v the_o apostle_n word_n but_o to_o take_v faith_n proper_o for_o the_o grace_n of_o true_a faith_n and_o believe_v though_o this_o be_v true_a that_o hope_n help_v well_o on_o but_o he_o speak_v of_o faith_n which_o include_v hope_n as_o a_o necessary_a companion_n but_o how_o do_v faith_n bring_v we_o to_o salvation_n salvation_n it_o be_v say_v by_o the_o apostle_n paul_n by_o grace_n you_o be_v save_v through_o faith_n now_o as_o it_o first_o apprehend_v christ_n and_o salvation_n 8._o so_o it_o hold_v this_o hold_n and_o continue_v our_o comfort_n and_o still_o carry_v we_o on_o in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o a_o holy_a life_n this_o assurance_n of_o eternal_a life_n make_v we_o contemn_v profit_n offer_v to_o pull_v we_o from_o a_o good_a conscience_n 24._o as_o moses_n do_v pharaoh_n court_n and_o pleasure_n of_o egypt_n so_o to_o despise_v the_o cross_n and_o overcome_v trouble_n that_o will_v draw_v we_o therefrom_o as_o the_o holy_a martyr_n do_v from_o time_n to_o time_n also_o faith_n apprehend_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n for_o our_o uphold_v to_o the_o end_n rest_v upon_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n which_o be_v constant_a and_o his_o power_n which_o be_v infinite_a therefore_o when_o any_o shall_v persuade_v we_o we_o shall_v never_o hold_v out_o we_o shall_v be_v forsake_v faith_n then_o put_v up_o head_n and_o say_v nay_o to_o it_o because_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o keep_v we_o unto_o salvation_n the_o wicked_a come_v and_o say_v where_o be_v now_o thy_o god_n by_o reason_n of_o trouble_n which_o befall_v the_o godly_a so_o the_o devil_n and_o their_o own_o unbelief_n assault_v they_o 11._o now_o faith_n help_v and_o say_v why_o be_v thou_o cast_v down_o why_o be_v thou_o disquiet_v trust_v yet_o in_o god_n he_o be_v my_o present_a help_n and_o my_o god_n and_o 4._o though_o and_o be_v safe_a 4._o this_o be_v the_o victory_n that_o overcome_v the_o world_n call_v therefore_o the_o shield_n 16._o by_o which_o we_o quench_v the_o fiery_a dart_n of_o the_o devil_n for_o this_o purpose_n our_o saviour_n when_o he_o pray_v that_o peter_n may_v hold_v out_o pray_v that_o his_o faith_n may_v not_o fail_v 32._o if_o that_o fail_v we_o be_v go_v if_o it_o hold_v we_o they_o may_v fall_v to_o any_o thing_n as_o the_o second_o and_o three_o sort_n of_o ground_n mention_v by_o our_o saviour_n in_o the_o parable_n most_o people_n content_v themselves_o in_o be_v professor_n but_o labour_v not_o for_o this_o grace_n of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o do_v they_o fall_v away_o and_o never_o come_v to_o salvation_n it_o teach_v also_o the_o godly_a 2._o still_o to_o say_v with_o the_o apostle_n lord_n increase_v our_o faith_n 5._o use_v all_o other_o mean_n to_o that_o purpose_n a_o little_a faith_n will_v go_v but_o a_o little_a way_n the_o least_o if_o true_a shall_v get_v to_o heaven_n but_o with_o much_o ado_n as_o a_o poor_a totter_a vessel_n may_v get_v to_o shore_n especial_o if_o there_o come_v no_o storm_n simile_n but_o if_o there_o do_v it_o be_v in_o great_a danger_n and_o very_o hardly_o attain_v unto_o it_o but_o as_o a_o strong_a vessel_n come_v safe_o though_o it_o have_v strong_a tempest_n so_o a_o strong_a faith_n though_o it_o be_v strong_o assault_v and_o put_v to_o it_o as_o oft_o it_o be_v both_o in_o life_n and_o in_o the_o end_n of_o life_n yet_o it_o conquer_v we_o have_v have_v none_o but_o calm_a time_n hitherto_o but_o what_o we_o may_v have_v we_o know_v not_o whether_o common_a trial_n or_o particular_a one_o accompany_v with_o pain_n grief_n vexation_n etc._n etc._n labour_n therefore_o for_o good_a store_n of_o faith_n unto_o salvation_n keep_v not_o for_o a_o while_n 6._o but_o to_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n to_o the_o enjoy_n of_o salvation_n and_o not_o as_o moses_n who_o have_v only_o a_o sight_n of_o canaan_n he_o keep_v we_o by_o his_o power_n prosperity_n whereto_o not_o that_o our_o finger_n shall_v not_o ache_v in_o this_o world_n but_o have_v all_o peace_n and_o prosperity_n and_o every_o 3._o but_o upon_o all_o the_o world_n and_o that_o which_o send_v man_n to_o eternal_a confusion_n 1._o this_o be_v a_o exceed_a comfort_n to_o all_o those_o who_o heart_n the_o lord_n have_v incline_v 1_o bow_v and_o humble_v to_o be_v obedient_a to_o his_o will_n in_o all_o thing_n and_o that_o have_v no_o great_a grief_n then_o that_o they_o can_v obey_v no_o better_o 25._o but_o glad_a when_o they_o can_v obey_v and_o most_o when_o best_a let_v these_o know_v it_o be_v a_o brand_n of_o christ_n sheep_n and_o mark_v that_o they_o love_v god_n that_o they_o be_v of_o the_o bless_a continue_v and_o increase_v your_o care_n its_o perfect_a freedom_n it_o bring_v sound_n and_o true_a comfort_n here_o and_o hereafter_o when_o they_o that_o disobey_v have_v a_o corrasive_n and_o gnaw_a conscience_n 2._o this_o condemn_v all_o sort_n of_o disobedient_a person_n 2._o which_o be_v many_o and_o this_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o hell_n be_v full_a than_o heaven_n because_o so_o pharaoh_n that_o proud_a heart_a tyrant_n can_v not_o hold_v it_o out_o nor_o nabuchadnezzar_n nor_o belshazzar_n nor_o herod_n do_v thou_o think_v to_o get_v any_o thing_n by_o wrestle_v with_o thy_o maker_n by_o cast_v out_o thy_o gantler_n and_o as_o it_o be_v bid_v battle_n to_o the_o lord_n o_o therefore_o humble_a thyself_o on_o thy_o face_n fall_v flat_a at_o his_o footstool_n and_o crave_v pardon_n send_v out_o messenger_n of_o peace_n and_o submit_v thyself_o say_v lord_n what_o will_v thou_o that_o i_o shall_v do_v obey_v and_o that_o glad_o or_o else_o he_o will_v lay_v thou_o only_o give_v witness_n of_o all_o the_o faculty_n &_o tell_v what_o i_o think_v desire_v affect_v etc._n etc._n but_o it_o use_v and_o work_v upon_o all_o the_o faculty_n as_o the_o understanding_n for_o by_o it_o it_o direct_v and_o according_a to_o it_o it_o do_v accuse_v so_o as_o if_o the_o judgement_n be_v well_o inform_v the_o conscience_n will_v give_v right_a witness_n if_o ignorant_a or_o ill_o inform_v than_o it_o give_v wrong_a testimony_n so_o the_o memory_n accuse_v or_o excuse_v for_o thing_n past_a so_o it_o work_v upon_o the_o will_n by_o provoke_v it_o to_o choose_v or_o refuse_v this_o or_o that_o so_o it_o work_v upon_o the_o affection_n raise_v up_o in_o we_o comfort_n and_o joy_n upon_o well_o do_v fear_n and_o grief_n upon_o ill-doing_n now_o though_o it_o have_v to_o do_v with_o all_o yet_o it_o may_v have_v its_o proper_a place_n in_o the_o understanding_n and_o mind_n according_a to_o the_o judgement_n of_o most_o divine_n of_o a_o man_n for_o no_o creature_n on_o earth_n have_v conscience_n but_o man_n true_a the_o angel_n be_v not_o without_o it_o the_o good_a have_v a_o good_a comfortable_a excuse_v joyful_a conscience_n the_o evil_a a_o woeful_a ill_a accuse_v and_o torment_a conscience_n which_o be_v so_o much_o the_o worse_o for_o that_o they_o know_v so_o much_o and_o be_v so_o malicious_o bend_v against_o it_o so_o that_o even_o when_o they_o be_v not_o in_o the_o place_n of_o torment_n but_o have_v leave_v to_o range_v the_o world_n yet_o they_o carry_v hell_n with_o they_o even_o a_o torment_a conscience_n whereof_o their_o tremble_a according_a to_o saint_n james_n be_v a_o evident_a testimony_n 19_o but_o no_o other_o creature_n have_v it_o for_o have_v no_o reason_n they_o have_v no_o conscience_n therefore_o we_o say_v in_o our_o speech_n of_o a_o bad_a and_o unconscionable_a man_n he_o have_v no_o more_o conscience_n than_o a_o dog_n or_o as_o much_o conscience_n as_o a_o horse_n whereby_o we_o mean_v none_o so_o conscience_n tell_v pharaoh_n that_o he_o and_o his_o people_n be_v wicked_a which_o determine_v of_o his_o thought_n desire_n word_n and_o deed_n or_o more_o brief_o bear_v witness_n either_o faithful_a to_o they_o they_o hereof_o the_o apostle_n inform_v they_o that_o they_o may_v esteem_v the_o more_o of_o he_o and_o profit_v the_o better_a by_o he_o such_o as_o be_v faithful_a in_o their_o ministry_n draw_v their_o people_n heart_n to_o they_o and_o their_o ministry_n whereby_o they_o receive_v much_o comfort_n as_o their_o people_n profit_n 1._o this_o rebuke_n the_o great_a unfaithfulness_n of_o number_n of_o minister_n 1_o they_o have_v little_a care_n or_o conscience_n for_o their_o people_n good_a but_o 2._o if_o minister_n be_v love_v and_o faithful_a to_o they_o sanctification_n etc._n etc._n without_o these_o all_o other_o point_n will_v be_v unprofitable_a unpreach_v minister_n have_v no_o possibility_n of_o win_a soul_n 3._o people_n shall_v so_o hear_v
