his_o gift_n and_o counsel_n principal_o to_o his_o own_o glory_n and_o therefore_o to_o stand_v in_o admiration_n of_o himself_o and_o his_o gift_n 2._o not_o true_o to_o fear_n god_n neither_o to_o acknowledge_v and_o bewail_v his_o own_o defect_n 3._o to_o be_v always_o aspire_v to_o some_o high_a place_n and_o calling_n 4._o to_o attribute_v to_o himself_o those_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v not_o to_o attempt_v thing_n above_o his_o power_n and_o not_o belong_v to_o his_o call_n 5._o to_o contemn_v and_o debase_v other_o in_o respect_n of_o himself_o to_o believe_v none_o but_o to_o covet_v to_o excel_v and_o be_v eminent_a above_o other_o 6._o to_o be_v angry_a with_o god_n and_o man_n to_o fret_v and_o fume_n against_o god_n when_o his_o desire_n and_o counsel_n be_v hinder_v and_o also_o to_o accuse_v god_n of_o error_n and_o injustice_n if_o god_n counsel_n agree_v not_o with_o the_o judgement_n and_o affection_n of_o man_n pride_n be_v twofold_a 1._o inward_a in_o the_o soul_n which_o consist_v partly_o in_o the_o mind_n which_o be_v a_o corrupt_a disposition_n thereof_o whereby_o a_o man_n think_v himself_o to_o be_v better_a than_o indeed_o he_o be_v this_o be_v the_o proud_a pharisee_n sin_n luke_n 18.11_o 12._o partly_o in_o the_o will_n which_o be_v a_o inward_a affection_n whereby_o a_o man_n be_v not_o content_v with_o that_o estate_n wherein_o god_n
