god_n and_o against_o his_o law_n beware_v of_o it_o resist_v it_o put_v it_o not_o in_o execution_n for_o if_o thou_o fulfil_v the_o will_n of_o thy_o affection_n what_o pleasure_n can_v it_o bring_v with_o it_o it_o may_v well_o bring_v a_o flatter_a pleasure_n in_o the_o entry_n but_o it_o close_v ever_o with_o a_o bitter_a remorse_n in_o the_o end_n then_o to_o eschew_v this_o bitter_a remorse_n shall_v you_o not_o all_o try_v your_o affection_n you_o must_v examine_v and_o try_v they_o by_o the_o square_n of_o god_n law_n you_o must_v see_v how_o far_o they_o agree_v with_o his_o which_o be_v in_o the_o life_n everlasting_a which_o taste_n be_v the_o only_a earnest_a penny_n of_o that_o full_a and_o perfect_a joy_n which_o soul_n and_o body_n in_o that_o life_n shall_v enjoy_v and_o the_o earnest_a penny_n as_o you_o know_v must_v be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o sum_n and_o of_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o sum_n and_o therefore_o that_o earnest_a penny_n of_o joy_n assure_v we_o that_o when_o we_o shall_v get_v possession_n of_o the_o whole_a sum_n it_o shall_v be_v a_o strange_a joy_n and_o these_o document_n lift_v up_o the_o heart_n and_o make_v it_o this_o general_a faith_n which_o be_v no_o other_o thing_n but_o a_o historical_a faith_n which_o ground_v only_o on_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n whereby_o i_o know_v that_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n be_v true_a but_o the_o papist_n dare_v not_o come_v and_o say_v they_o be_v true_a in_o i_o why_o because_o they_o have_v not_o feel_v it_o and_o their_o heart_n be_v not_o open_v but_o our_o justify_n faith_n as_o i_o tell_v you_o consecrate_v the_o whole_a soul_n unto_o the_o obedience_n of_o god_n in_o christ._n so_o that_o it_o rest_v not_o only_o upon_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n nor_o assault_v full_a oft_o which_o make_v we_o sometime_o incline_v to_o despair_v sometime_o to_o hope_v while_o we_o look_v on_o ourselves_o to_o despair_v and_o while_o we_o look_v on_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n jesus_n to_o hope_v now_o the_o apostle_n take_v this_o doubt_n to_o himself_o as_o a_o thing_n whereunto_o all_o christian_n be_v subject_a there_o be_v few_o of_o you_o be_v work_v and_o what_o bring_v it_o forth_o sinne._n and_o what_o do_v the_o multiplication_n of_o sin_n but_o hinder_v our_o faith_n and_o persuasion_n and_o cast_v a_o veil_n and_o a_o mist_n betwixt_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o we_o and_o therefore_o the_o prophet_n call_v it_o a_o separation_n whereby_o we_o be_v deprive_v of_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n which_o we_o have_v in_o the_o mediator_n christ._n see_v then_o so_o long_o as_o we_o be_v in_o these_o body_n of_o â—lay_n we_o be_v subject_a to_o sin_n we_o can_v but_o doubt_v for_o suppose_v we_o fall_v not_o into_o these_o faith_n out_o of_o question_n it_o hinder_v our_o persuasion_n and_o make_v we_o not_o to_o be_v so_o steadfast_a in_o our_o belief_n as_o otherwise_o we_o will_v be_v for_o he_o that_o see_v evil_a will_v oft_o time_n take_v one_o thing_n for_o another_o so_o this_o corruption_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o our_o doubt_n which_o in_o some_o measure_n be_v ever_o in_o the_o soul_n now_o what_o learn_v we_o of_o this_o first_o we_o learn_v this_o comfort_n that_o it_o be_v no_o new_a thing_n to_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n doctrine_n to_o utter_v contrary_a voice_n in_o their_o great_a trouble_n to_o utter_v voice_n proceed_v of_o a_o deep_a sense_n of_o the_o love_n and_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o one_o word_n and_o in_o another_o word_n to_o utter_v a_o feâ—ling_n of_o his_o hatred_n and_o wrath_n as_o if_o he_o be_v our_o deadly_a enemy_n sometime_o this_o king_n utter_v word_n full_a of_o doubt_v sometime_o he_o seek_v benefit_n of_o he_o as_o he_o be_v his_o good_a friend_n christ_n use_v these_o contrary_a voice_n there_o be_v never_o a_o special_a servant_n of_o god_n but_o they_o have_v they_o and_o christ_n have_v they_o himself_o more_o than_o any_o servant_n that_o he_o have_v not_o proceed_v of_o any_o doubt_v or_o mistrust_v in_o the_o mercy_n of_o his_o father_n because_o in_o he_o there_o be_v no_o root_n of_o infidelity_n but_o come_v of_o the_o feel_n of_o take_v heed_n that_o the_o foul_a affection_n of_o your_o heart_n draw_v not_o your_o body_n after_o they_o see_v at_o the_o least_o that_o those_o affection_n banish_v not_o this_o light_n and_o so_o long_o as_o the_o lord_n offer_v you_o this_o light_n in_o time_n crave_v that_o of_o his_o mercy_n he_o will_v give_v you_o the_o grace_n to_o embrace_v it_o to_o take_v a_o new_a course_n and_o yet_o to_o amend_v your_o life_n while_o time_n be_v give_v you_o the_o body_n shall_v leave_v the_o soul_n and_o the_o soul_n shall_v leave_v the_o body_n but_o the_o conscience_n shall_v never_o leave_v the_o soul_n but_o whither_o soever_o the_o soul_n go_v to_o the_o same_o place_n shall_v the_o conscience_n repair_v and_o look_v in_o what_o estate_n thy_o conscience_n be_v when_o thou_o
