be_v allow_v and_o confirm_v ●y_a two_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o place_n aforesaid_a shall_v be_v quarterly_o pay_v ●y_a every_o inhabitant_n upon_o demand_n ●ade_v by_o the_o scavenger_n or_o officer_n appoint_v to_o gather_v the_o same_o and_o i●_n case_n of_o refusal_n or_o neglect_n shall_v b●_n warrant_v under_o the_o hand_n and_o se●●_n of_o two_o such_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n ●●_o aforesaid_a be_v levy_v by_o distress_n and_o sa●●_n of_o the_o offender_n good_n and_o for_o wa●●_n of_o distress_n by_o imprisonment_n be_v no_o peer_n of_o the_o realm_n until_o payment_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o such_o sum_n of_o money_n as_o sh●●●_n they_o the_o scavenger_n to_o account_v for_o the_o money_n receive_v by_o they_o be_v yearly_o assess_v and_o collect_v shal●_n be_v yearly_o account_v for_o by_o the_o scavenger_n for_o the_o time_n be_v whic●_n collect_v the_o same_o to_o two_o or_o mo●●_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n of_o the_o plac●_n reside_v in_o or_o near_a to_o the_o respective_a place_n for_o which_o such_o scavenger_n be_v appoint_v within_o eight_o and_o twenty_o day_n after_o the_o elect_n of_o new_a scavenger_n for_o the_o ensue_a year_n and_o ●●_o pay_v to_o the_o new_a scavenger_n what_o remain_v in_o their_o hand_n and_o any_o such_o two_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n as_o aforesaid_a upon_o refusal_n to_o account_v may_v comit●●_n the_o refuser_n to_o prison_n there_o to_o remai●_n without_o bail_n or_o mainprize_n till_o he_o account_v and_o pay_v what_o remain_v upo●_n account_n and_o the_o scavenger_n ma●_n of_o scavenger_n to_o lodge_v their_o dirt_n in_o such_o public_a place_n as_o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n shall_v approve_v of_o lodge_v their_o dirt_n dust_n ash_n etc._n etc._n i●_n such_o vacant_a and_o public_a place_n near_o the_o street_n or_o highway_n as_o two_o or_o mo●●_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n in_o their_o ●etty_a session_n shall_v approve_v of_o they_o ●iving_v satisfaction_n to_o the_o owner_n and_o occupier_n thereof_o and_o in_o case_n of_o un●easonable_a demand_n such_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n in_o their_o petty_a session_n may_v moderate_v and_o determine_v it_o and_o such_o person_n as_o be_v aggrieve_v with_o any_o assessment_n or_o determination_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n in_o their_o petty_a session_n may_v appeal_v to_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n ●t_z their_o general_n quarter-session_n of_o the_o peace_n for_o that_o place_n who_o order_n and_o determination_n upon_o hear_v the_o complaint_n shall_v be_v final_a without_o far_a appeal_n to_o any_o other_o court_n and_o where_o there_o be_v any_o highway_n make_v assessment_n wh●●_n and_o how_o to_o be_v make_v within_o the_o say_a parish_n which_o can_v be_v justice_n of_o the_o peace_n at_o such_o their_o general_a quarter-session_n shall_v direct_v and_o appoint_v and_o the_o money_n raise_v to_o be_v employ_v and_o account_v for_o towards_o the_o repair_n such_o highway_n from_o time_n to_o time_n as_o the_o say_a justice_n shall_v order_v to_o be_v levy_v by_o distress_n and_o sale_n of_o the_o good_n of_o the_o perion_n so_o assess_v n●●_n pay_v the_o same_o within_o fourteen_o day_n after_o demand_n render_v the_o overplus_n to_o the_o owner_n necessary_a charge_n of_o make_v and_o sell_v the_o distress_n be_v first_o deduct_v which_o assessment_n in_o any_o one_o year_n be_v not_o to_o exceed_v four_o penny_n in_o the_o pound_n of_o the_o yearly_a value_n of_o land_n etc._n etc._n nor_o eight_o penny_n for_o every_o twenty_o pound_n personal_a estate_n all_o sink_n sewer_n and_o vault_n make_v sewer_n sink_n sewer_n and_o vault_n to_o be_v within_o the_o commi●●ion_n of_o sewer_n since_o the_o twelve_o year_n of_o king_n charles_n the_o second_o within_o the_o city_n and_o liberty_n of_o westminster_n and_o parish_n aforesaid_a be_v to_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o commission_n of_o sewer_n and_o the_o commissioner_n of_o sewer_n within_o the_o liberty_n of_o their_o respective_a commission_n may_v after_o amend_v cleanse_v and_o scour_v any_o new_a sewer_n sink_n and_o vault_n and_o direct_v the_o make_n of_o new_a one_o or_o may_v cut_v into_o any_o already_o make_v and_o alter_v and_o take_v away_o any_o nuisance_n in_o the_o same_o and_o alter_v or_o take_v away_o any_o cross_a gutter_n or_o channel_n in_o all_o or_o any_o of_o the_o street_n and_o lane_n in_o the_o parish_n night_n householder_n to_o h●ng_v out_o candle●_n at_o night_n aforesaid_a and_o all_o householder_n in_o the_o county_n of_o middlesex_n and_o surry_n and_o city_n and_o liberty_n of_o westminster_n comprise_v within_o the_o weekly_a bill_n of_o mortality_n who_o house_n adjoyn_v unto_o or_o be_v near_o the_o street_n shall_v
