that_o be_v to_o say_v for_o the_o hire_n of_o a_o coach_n caroche_n or_o chariot_n with_o four_o horse_n twenty_o shilling_n a_o day_n and_o for_o a_o coach_n and_o two_o horse_n ten_o shilling_n a_o day_n and_o that_o every_o coach_n with_o four_o horse_n shall_v at_o the_o rate_n aforesaid_a limit_v travel_n upon_o the_o road_n to_o and_o from_o london_n from_o the_o twenty_o five_o day_n of_o fifteen_o mile_n a_o day_n within_o the_o like_a compass_n of_o sixty_o mile_n from_o london_n except_v upon_o the_o say_a road_n of_o sussex_n but_o for_o the_o time_n a_o coach_n shall_v rest_v or_o aforesaid_a shall_v deny_v to_o accept_v his_o pay_n according_a to_o the_o rate_n aforesaid_a or_o shall_v wilful_o refuse_v to_o be_v hire_v with_o his_o coach_n and_o horse_n at_o the_o rate_v aforesaid_a and_o shall_v excuse_v himself_o or_o pretend_v that_o he_o be_v hire_v before_o whereas_o in_o truth_n he_o be_v not_o or_o shall_v misbehave_v himself_o by_o uncivil_a carriage_n or_o repreachful_a or_o rail_a word_n towards_o any_o person_n or_o person_n who_o shall_v require_v or_o offer_v to_o hire_v his_o coach_n or_o horse_n and_o offer_v to_o pay_v unto_o he_o for_o the_o same_o after_o the_o rate_n aforesaid_a in_o such_o case_n such_o person_n and_o person_n shall_v for_o the_o first_o offence_n be_v prove_v before_o the_o say_a overseer_n at_o their_o meeting_n forfeit_a and_o pay_v two_o shilling_n six_o penny_n that_o none_o of_o the_o say_a hackney_n coachman_n shall_v have_v his_o coach_n or_o any_o part_n of_o it_o gild_a nor_o wear_v the_o eschucheon_n of_o any_o person_n of_o honour_n or_o gentleman_n thereupon_o upon_o pain_n of_o five_o pound_n but_o as_o a_o mark_n of_o distinction_n shall_v have_v the_o city_n arm_n place_v or_o paint_v on_o as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v and_o pay_v for_o the_o first_o offence_n twenty_o shilling_n for_o the_o second_o offence_n forty_o shilling_n and_o for_o every_o offence_n afterward_o the_o sum_n of_o four_o pound_n to_o be_v have_v and_o recover_v as_o be_v hereafter_o mention_v and_o it_o be_v ordain_v that_o every_o person_n admit_v or_o that_o shall_v be_v admit_v to_o keep_v hackney_n coach_n and_o horse_n as_o aforesaid_a shall_v retain_v and_o keep_v no_o servant_n but_o of_o honest_a and_o civil_a life_n and_o behaviour_n and_o shall_v for_o the_o miscarriage_n or_o offence_n of_o he_o or_o her_o servant_n against_o any_o the_o order_n and_o provision_n before-going_a or_o that_o shall_v hereafter_o be_v make_v in_o this_o behalf_n undergo_v and_o suffer_v like_o pain_n and_o penalty_n as_o if_o the_o same_o have_v be_v do_v and_o commit_v in_o his_o or_o her_o own_o person_n and_o the_o servant_n so_o offend_v shall_v make_v reparation_n to_o his_o master_n or_o mistress_n out_o of_o his_o wage_n by_o way_n of_o abatement_n or_o deduction_n or_o otherwise_o shall_v be_v commit_v to_o the_o house_n of_o correction_n by_o the_o say_a lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n there_o to_o remain_v and_o be_v whip_v and_o hold_v to_o hard_a labour_n as_o according_a to_o the_o merit_n and_o nature_n of_o the_o offence_n shall_v by_o the_o say_a court_n be_v adjudge_v fit_a and_o reasonable_a and_o not_o enlarge_v but_o by_o warrant_n from_o the_o say_v court_n and_o further_o it_o be_v ordain_v that_o all_o pain_n penalty_n forfeiture_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n by_o virtue_n of_o any_o of_o these_o ordinance_n to_o be_v forfeit_v and_o not_o otherwise_o levy_v shall_v and_o may_v be_v levy_v by_o distress_n and_o sale_n of_o the_o coach_n or_o coach_n and_o horse_n or_o other_o good_n and_o chattel_n of_o the_o party_n or_o party_n offend_v and_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o pay_v the_o same_o deduct_v the_o say_a forfeiture_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n and_o reasonable_a charge_n of_o distrain_v and_o restore_v the_o overplus_n to_o the_o owner_n thereof_o or_o otherwise_o such_o pain_n penalty_n forfeiture_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n
