to_o the_o lord_n and_o commons_o continue_v at_o west_n minster_n the_o humble_a petition_n of_o the_o scholar_n of_o the_o several_a gramer-schoole_n in_o and_o about_o the_o city_n of_o london_n show_v that_o your_o pretty_a petitioner_n have_v hear_v of_o your_o admirable_a vigilence_n and_o policy_n in_o grant_v free_a leave_n to_o the_o apprentice_n of_o this_o city_n for_o the_o public_a good_a to_o run_v from_o their_o master_n and_o to_o serve_v their_o time_n out_o under_o his_o excellency_n with_o who_o they_o may_v have_v the_o honour_n to_o live_v and_o die_v and_o that_o for_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o their_o friend_n who_o foolish_o expect_v that_o their_o say_a child_n shall_v be_v teach_v their_o trade_n whereby_o they_o may_v be_v hereafter_o enable_v to_o live_v honest_o in_o their_o several_a vocation_n your_o wonderful_a justice_n and_o power_n have_v ordain_v that_o they_o shall_v lose_v no_o time_n in_o the_o expedition_n they_o have_v now_o undertake_v but_o that_o when_o his_o excellency_n and_o the_o public_a good_a shall_v be_v able_a to_o defend_v one_o another_o all_o evil_a conncellour_n and_o the_o malignant_a party_n be_v devour_v and_o eat_v up_o and_o his_o majesty_n get_v into_o honest_a hand_n again_o that_o the_o say_a apprentice_n shall_v if_o they_o please_v return_v to_o their_o several_a shop_n and_o be_v make_v foreman_n and_o freeman_n as_o if_o their_o apron_n have_v never_o be_v leave_v off_o with_o other_o notable_a privilege_n against_o their_o master_n and_o with_o their_o mistress_n which_o your_o grave_a wisdom_n for_o the_o encouragement_n of_o well_o affect_a person_n have_v provide_v for_o they_o your_o petitioner_n fall_v upon_o their_o knee_n before_o your_o almightiness_n and_o desire_v that_o in_o this_o year_n of_o jubilee_n when_o all_o manner_n of_o people_n be_v suffer_v to_o do_v what_o they_o please_v and_o no_o rule_n law_n or_o order_n leave_v to_o compel_v the_o freeborn_a nation_n they_o may_v not_o be_v leave_v the_o only_a subject_n of_o this_o kingdom_n but_o may_v be_v also_o at_o liberty_n to_o exercise_v their_o conscience_n and_o suffer_v to_o do_v their_o weak_a endeavour_n against_o their_o sovereign_n for_o his_o good_a under_o the_o command_n of_o his_o excellency_n not_o doubt_v but_o that_o they_o shall_v so_o learn_v the_o use_n of_o their_o arm_n too_o that_o they_o may_v be_v able_a to_o kill_v any_o man_n within_o two_o foot_n of_o the_o king_n majesty_n and_o never_o endanger_v he_o against_o who_o they_o desire_v not_o to_o be_v think_v to_o bear_v the_o least_o ill_a will_n in_o the_o world_n and_o that_o you_o will_v declare_v and_o vote_n that_o after_o the_o short_a business_n in_o hand_n shall_v be_v perform_v your_o hopeful_a petitioner_n shall_v be_v as_o good_a scholar_n as_o if_o they_o have_v continue_v at_o school_n or_o in_o the_o university_n and_o have_v the_o same_o privilege_n and_o ability_n to_o preach_v and_o teach_v as_o those_o simple_a lazy_a people_n who_o neglect_v to_o join_v with_o you_o in_o make_v these_o present_a distraction_n make_v no_o advantage_n of_o the_o wonderful_a thing_n you_o have_v do_v but_o in_o contempt_n of_o your_o authority_n live_v as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o parliament_n and_o your_o petitioner_n shall_v grow_v up_o and_o conform_v themselves_o to_o those_o principle_n of_o necessary_a and_o wholesome_a rebellion_n which_o your_o grave_a wisdom_n shall_v declare_v to_o be_v most_o agreeable_a to_o the_o fundamental_a law_n of_o this_o kingdom_n print_v in_o the_o year_n 1642._o
