give_v such_o order_n concern_v their_o quarter_n duty_n and_o service_n during_o their_o stay_n in_o those_o part_n as_o you_o shall_v think_v fit_a for_o the_o security_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o country_n thereabouts_o and_o whereas_o we_o be_v send_v to_o our_o say_a city_n of_o londonderry_n further_a succour_n of_o money_n man_n arm_n and_o provision_n of_o war_n we_o do_v expect_v from_o your_o courage_n prudence_n and_o conduct_n that_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n you_o make_v the_o best_a defence_n you_o can_v against_o all_o person_n that_o shall_v attempt_v to_o besiege_v the_o say_a city_n or_o to_o annoy_v our_o protestant_a subject_n within_o the_o same_o or_o within_o the_o neighbour_a part_n and_o that_o you_o hinder_v the_o enemy_n from_o possess_v themselves_o of_o any_o pass_v near_a or_o lead_v to_o the_o say_a city_n give_v all_o aid_n and_o assistance_n you_o may_v with_o safety_n to_o such_o as_o shall_v desire_v it_o and_o receive_v into_o the_o say_a town_n such_o protestant_a officer_n and_o man_n able_a and_o fit_a to_o bear_v arm_n as_o you_o may_v confide_v in_o who_o you_o be_v to_o form_v into_o company_n and_o to_o cause_n to_o be_v well_o exercise_v and_o discipline_v take_v care_n withal_o that_o you_o do_v not_o take_v in_o more_o unuseful_a people_n woman_n and_o child_n into_o the_o say_a city_n than_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o provision_n sufficient_a to_o maintain_v beside_o the_o garrison_n you_o be_v to_o give_v we_o a_o account_n as_o soon_o as_o may_v be_v and_o so_o from_o time_n to_o time_n of_o the_o condition_n of_o our_o city_n of_o londonderry_n the_o fortification_n number_n quality_n and_o affection_n of_o the_o people_n soldier_n and_o other_o therein_o or_o in_o the_o country_n thereabouts_o and_o what_o quantity_n of_o provision_n of_o all_o sort_n for_o horse_n foot_n and_o dragoon_n shall_v or_o may_v be_v buy_v up_o or_o secure_v in_o those-part_n for_o our_o service_n without_o the_o necessity_n of_o bring_v the_o same_o from_o england_n upon_o send_v of_o more_o force_n thither_o last_o we_o do_v recommend_v unto_o you_o that_o you_o entertain_v good_a correspondence_n and_o friendship_n with_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o say_a regiment_n and_o more_o especial_o with_o the_o respective_a colonel_n of_o the_o same_o not_o doubt_v but_o by_o your_o joint_a counsel_n and_o by_o your_o know_a courage_n as_o well_o as_o your_o affection_n to_o the_o protestant_a religion_n which_o we_o shall_v not_o fail_v to_o reward_v with_o our_o royal_a favour_n and_o bounty_n the_o
