print_v for_o richard_n west_n 1642._o the_o resolution_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o commons_z in_o this_o present_a parliament_n concern_v the_o citizen_n of_o london_n petition_n for_o peace_n the_o honourable_a house_n of_o parliament_n have_v take_v into_o serious_a consideration_n the_o late_a petition_n of_o the_o citizen_n of_o london_n wherein_o they_o most_o earnest_o desire_v a_o accommodation_n of_o peace_n between_o his_o majesty_n and_o both_o house_n but_o in_o such_o away_o that_o they_o do_v not_o care_v if_o it_o be_v with_o the_o loss_n of_o their_o religion_n and_o liberty_n but_o his_o majesty_n great_a counsel_n the_o worthy_n of_o israel_n out_o of_o their_o pious_a and_o religious_a care_n to_o the_o public_a good_a have_v ever_o since_o the_o first_o time_n of_o their_o fit_v labour_v by_o all_o possible_a mean_n that_o may_v be_v to_o settle_v this_o kingdom_n in_o a_o happy_a and_o glorious_a union_n and_o have_v also_o ever_o since_o the_o begin_n of_o these_o present_a distraction_n in_o this_o kingdom_n both_o by_o their_o humble_a petition_n and_o message_n to_o his_o majesty_n most_o earnest_o desire_v a_o peace_n and_o union_n and_o that_o these_o difference_n which_o be_v now_o in_o dissent_n betwixt_o his_o miiesty_n and_o both_o house_n may_v be_v compose_v and_o bring_v to_o a_o full-period_n so_o that_o it_o be_v to_o be_v admire_v at_o that_o these_o citizen_n which_v have_v now_o petition_v for_o peace_n shall_v presume_v so_o far_o know_v that_o the_o honourable_a house_n of_o parliament_n have_v oftentimes_o petition_v to_o his_o majesty_n for_o the_o same_o and_o therefore_o to_o satisfy_v the_o desire_n of_o all_o the_o aforenamed_a person_n both_o house_n have_v have_v think_v fit_a and_o meet_v to_o declare_v this_o their_o full_a will_n and_o pleasure_n unto_o they_o viz._n that_o whereas_o divers_a of_o the_o aforesaid_a person_n have_v frame_v a_o petition_n for_o peace_n and_o present_v it_o to_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o most_o earnest_o desire_v a_o answer_n of_o the_o same_o after_o some_o time_n spend_v in_o debate_n thereof_o the_o house_n return_v this_o answer_n that_o ever_o since_o their_o first_o sit_v it_o have_v always_o be_v their_o care_n to_o preserve_v the_o peace_n of_o this_o kingdom_n and_o that_o they_o have_v and_o do_v still_o labour_v after_o peace_n by_o all_o possible_a mean_n so_o as_o the_o same_o may_v be_v obtain_v in_o a_o safe_a and_o honourable_a way_n but_o to_o have_v a_o peace_n without_o secure_v of_o our_o religion_n law_n and_o liberty_n and_o without_o bring_v traitor_n and_o delinquent_n to_o punishment_n which_o be_v and_o have_v be_v the_o only_a causer_n of_o this_o war_n there_o can_v be_v no_o war_n so_o perilious_a and_o grievous_a as_o such_o a_o peace_n the_o parliament_n proposition_n to_o the_o knight_n gentry_z and_o commonalty_n of_o the_o county_n of_o essex_n whereas_o it_o do_v appear_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o commons_o assemble_v in_o parliament_n that_o his_o majesty_n have_v send_v out_o divers_a commission_n for_o the_o levy_n of_o more_o force_n to_o the_o great_a hazard_n of_o religion_n but_o for_o prevent_v of_o these_o design_n the_o honourable_a court_n of_o parliament_n have_v agree_v that_o these_o follow_a proposition_n shall_v be_v forthwith_o print_v and_o send_v down_o to_o the_o county_n of_o
