so_o much_o more_o ought_v christian_a parent_n to_o be_v desirous_a to_o have_v and_o maintain_v a_o good_a schoolmaster_n that_o may_v bring_v up_o their_o child_n in_o virtue_n wisdom_n and_o good_a learning_n and_o like_v as_o if_o their_o horle_fw-mi be_v not_o well_o break_v or_o have_v any_o 〈◊〉_d quality_n they_o will_v be_v careful_a to_o see_v it_o remedy_v and_o that_o he_o may_v be_v make_v tractable_a and_o gentle_a so_o likewise_o godly_a parent_n ought_v to_o be_v much_o more_o careful_a not_o only_o that_o their_o child_n may_v by_o instruction_n be_v bring_v to_o some_o good_a order_n but_o also_o to_o look_v that_o there_o be_v no_o fault_n in_o the_o teacher_n to_o who_o they_o commit_v the_o care_n to_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o learning_n and_o good_a manner_n but_o alas_o and_o with_o grief_n be_v it_o speak_v many_o man_n now_o a_o day_n albeit_o it_o they_o perceive_v their_o child_n to_o be_v towards_o and_o apt_a unto_o letter_n and_o capable_a to_o receive_v good_a learning_n have_v wealth_n and_o riches_n enough_o to_o maintain_v they_o thereat_o yet_o will_v they_o not_o suffer_v they_o to_o continue_v thereat_o until_o they_o come_v to_o any_o good_a perfection_n learning_n some_o because_o they_o themselves_o do_v not_o like_v of_o our_o state_n &_o religion_n othersome_a because_o they_o see_v little_a preferment_n and_o no_o worldly_a advantage_n to_o follow_v learning_n but_o great_a trouble_n and_o affliction_n all_o which_o man_n in_o this_o do_n declare_v themselves_o to_o be_v irreligious_a ungodly_a and_o destroyer_n both_o of_o themselves_o their_o child_n and_o of_o all_o commonwealth_n and_o congregation_n for_o what_o public_a wealth_n town_n city_n or_o parish_n can_v be_v well_o govern_v except_o the_o prince_n magistrate_n or_o preacher_n be_v learned_a both_o in_o humane_a and_o divine_a law_n in_o time_n past_a when_o ignorance_n and_o superstition_n be_v account_v good_a devotion_n at_o which_o time_n man_n see_v so_o many_o spiritual_a promotion_n as_o they_o then_o call_v they_o unto_o rich_a bishopricke_n abbey_n priory_n deanery_n benefice_n etc._n etc._n then_o they_o will_v to_o divide_v god_n word_n and_o to_o deliver_v the_o same_o free_o and_o faithful_o and_o also_o how_o unthankful_a a_o office_n and_o call_v it_o be_v to_o govern_v well_o a_o congregation_n they_o have_v rather_o their_o child_n shall_v be_v bind_v prentice_n to_o some_o trade_n or_o else_o follow_v any_o other_o profession_n then_o that_o they_o shall_v study_v divinity_n when_o child_n be_v nothing_o apt_a to_o good_a learning_n and_o when_o there_o be_v no_o good_a learning_n to_o be_v have_v no_o nor_o good_a teacher_n yet_o then_o well_o be_v he_o that_o may_v set_v his_o child_n to_o school_n but_o now_o when_o youth_n be_v never_o so_o apt_a to_o good_a learning_n as_o it_o be_v at_o this_o day_n and_o learning_n and_o all_o good_a mean_n never_o so_o plenteous_o flourish_v be_v open_v their_o mouth_n to_o receive_v they_o their_o eye_n to_o see_v the_o clear_a light_n nor_o yet_o their_o ear_n to_o hear_v so_o pure_a manifest_a and_o wholesome_a and_o heavenly_a doctrine_n even_o the_o word_n of_o god_n the_o mean_n of_o our_o salvation_n it_o be_v therefore_o to_o be_v fear_v that_o for_o this_o our_o great_a unthankfulness_n these_o so_o manifold_a heavenly_a
