so_o strong_a and_o mighty_a we_o may_v perceive_v that_o the_o clause_n chaff_n the_o enemy_n of_o the_o church_n compare_v to_o chaff_n he_o shall_v hear_v be_v add_v by_o way_n of_o exposition_n &_o therefore_o i_o have_v rather_o resolve_v it_o into_o a_o particle_n of_o show_v the_o cause_n thus_o for_o he_o shall_v hear_v a_o noise_n for_o he_o speak_v of_o this_o blast_n which_o as_o have_v hear_v news_n of_o the_o arrive_v of_o the_o enemy_n he_o direct_v his_o army_n towards_o egypt_n to_o stop_v the_o passage_n before_o they_o now_o albeit_o the_o lord_n abate_v the_o fury_n of_o this_o tyrant_n by_o new_a war_n that_o he_o may_v thereby_o give_v some_o rest_n to_o the_o jew_n yet_o he_o will_v not_o overcome_v he_o by_o the_o hand_n of_o man_n but_o only_o manifest_v greatness_n so_o as_o they_o think_v to_o make_v all_o the_o world_n to_o tremble_v &_o quake_v at_o their_o word_n or_o at_o the_o only_a hear_n of_o the_o sound_n of_o their_o name_n or_o at_o the_o sight_n of_o their_o very_a shadow_n this_o man_n be_v somewhat_o prevent_v by_o a_o new_a &_o difficult_a business_n think_v notwithstanding_o to_o subdue_v judeah_n whence_o he_o be_v force_v to_o depart_v it_o may_v be_v he_o be_v ashamed_a to_o be_v thus_o disappoint_v of_o his_o purpose_n and_o thus_o abrupt_o to_o raise_v up_o his_o siege_n but_o he_o think_v to_o obtain_v that_o in_o his_o absence_n which_o he_o can_v not_o accomplish_v in_o his_o own_o person_n howsoever_o the_o lord_n do_v wonderful_o work_v in_o succor_v his_o poor_a servant_n who_o esteem_v themselves_o as_o sheep_n appoint_v to_o the_o slaughter_n now_o that_o he_o may_v abate_v the_o rage_n of_o this_o tyrant_n he_o occupy_v his_o head_n and_o fill_v his_o hand_n with_o such_o intricate_a business_n as_o out_o the_o truth_n of_o this_o now_o among_o us._n how_o many_o tyrant_n be_v there_o which_o thirst_n after_o the_o ruin_n of_o the_o church_n how_o many_o plot_n do_v they_o lay_v to_o bring_v it_o about_o 16.23_o god_n will_v turn_v the_o counsel_n of_o all_o achitophel_n to_o foolishness_n 2._o sam._n 25.31_o and_o 16.23_o how_o busy_a be_v they_o in_o corner_n secret_o take_v counsel_n together_o and_o with_o what_o power_n and_o policy_n be_v they_o endue_v but_o when_o they_o think_v to_o have_v their_o purpose_n it_o may_v be_v the_o lord_n sudden_o descry_v their_o design_n their_o own_o head_n yet_o they_o continue_v as_o obstinate_a and_o as_o fierce_a as_o ever_o they_o be_v before_o and_o cease_v not_o to_o imagine_v mischief_n still_o as_o this_o sennacherib_n he_o thou_o because_o he_o respect_v the_o covenant_n which_o he_o have_v make_v with_o david_n we_o know_v there_o be_v nothing_o more_o hard_a then_o to_o cheer_v up_o the_o heart_n of_o such_o as_o have_v deep_o taste_v of_o god_n wrath_n displeasure_n nothing_o more_o difficult_a then_o to_o comfort_v the_o heart_n of_o such_o as_o have_v taste_v deep_o of_o god_n displeasure_n with_o good_a hope_n of_o mercy_n and_o to_o cause_v they_o indeed_o to_o feel_v that_o god_n be_v now_o become_v favourable_a and_o gracious_a unto_o they_o this_o confirmation_n therefore_o be_v necessary_a to_o merit_v because_o god_n accept_v so_o favourable_o of_o they_o but_o in_o give_v that_o free_o which_o of_o favour_n he_o have_v promise_v he_o add_v this_o declaration_n of_o his_o liberality_n to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v the_o better_a exercise_n our_o faith_n for_o it_o be_v no_o small_a privilege_n to_o have_v access_n into_o his_o presence_n at_o all_o time_n &_o frank_o to_o pour_v out_o our_o heart_n before_o he_o and_o familiar_o to_o cast_v all_o our_o care_n and_o anguish_v into_o his_o bosom_n have_v not_o hezekias_o pray_v at_o all_o yet_o the_o lord_n no_o doubt_n will_v have_v take_v order_n by_o some_o other_o mean_n that_o the_o government_n of_o the_o kingdom_n shall_v still_o have_v continue_v in_o the_o stock_n of_o david_n but_o that_o which_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o do_v in_o respect_n of_o his_o truth_n be_v attribute_v unto_o hezekias_n prayer_n to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v acknowledge_v how_o great_a the_o fruit_n be_v he_o receive_v from_o his_o faith_n which_o he_o exercise_v in_o his_o prayer_n the_o prophet_n mention_n his_o tear_n as_o a_o sign_n of_o his_o repentance_n and_o also_o of_o his_o zeal_n and_o affection_n not_o that_o they_o obtain_v grace_n or_o that_o they_o can_v appease_v god_n of_o themselves_o but_o to_o show_v that_o by_o mean_n hereof_o prayer_n which_o proceed_v from_o affection_n be_v distinguish_v from_o those_o which_o proceed_v from_o the_o lip_n only_o object_n prayer_n which_o proceed_v from_o affection_n distinguish_v from_o those_o that_o proceed_v from_o the_o lip_n only_o object_n in_o the_o last_o place_n he_o add_v that_o god_n prolong_v the_o day_n of_o hezekias_n fifteen_o eere_v which_o at_o the_o first_o may_v seem_v absurd_a because_o we_o be_v create_v upon_o condition_n not_o to_o pass_v one_o jot_n or_o tittle_n of_o that_o time_n which_o god_n have_v set_v down_o as_o job_n say_v thou_o have_v set_v he_o his_o bound_n ans_fw-fr which_o he_o can_v pass_v job._n 14.5_o but_o the_o account_v the_o year_n follow_v as_o the_o lease_n thereof_o renew_v again_o no_o less_o then_o if_o he_o have_v be_v take_v out_o of_o his_o tomb_n to_o live_v upon_o the_o earth_n the_o second_o time_n verse_n 6._o and_o i_o will_v deliver_v thou_o out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o king_n of_o ashur_n and_o this_o city_n for_o i_o will_v defend_v this_o city_n those_o who_o think_v that_o hezekias_n be_v sick_a during_o the_o siege_n ground_n their_o argument_n upon_o this_o verse_n because_o otherwise_o they_o think_v this_o promise_n shall_v be_v superfluous_a but_o their_o reason_n want_v weight_n for_o the_o assyrian_a may_v well_o gather_v his_o force_n together_o again_o and_o prepare_v a_o fresh_a army_n both_o to_o invade_v judeah_n and_o to_o besiege_v jerusalem_n yea_o
