not_o excuse_v they_o from_o the_o guilt_n of_o a_o false_a or_o profane_a oath_n such_o be_v the_o oath_n we_o find_v use_v among_o the_o papist_n by_o st._n mary_n or_o by_o st._n paul_n or_o by_o st._n peter_n or_o by_o st._n james_n and_o of_o this_o nature_n be_v the_o wicked_a oath_n of_o man_n among_o ourselves_o when_o they_o swear_v by_o their_o soul_n or_o by_o some_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o god_n the_o crime_n be_v the_o same_o whatever_o alteration_n may_v be_v make_v in_o name_n and_o word_n and_o phrase_n and_o therefore_o he_o that_o shall_v be_v so_o silly_a as_o to_o think_v he_o repent_v of_o swear_v in_o common_a discourse_n because_o he_o do_v not_o mention_n god_n in_o his_o oath_n or_o swear_v only_o by_o his_o faith_n or_o by_o his_o troth_n or_o by_o his_o by_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o god_n be_v make_v so_o great_a a_o crime_n in_o scripture_n that_o god_n seem_v to_o be_v in_o doubt_n whether_o he_o shall_v pardon_v it_o jerem._n v._n 7_o how_o
